BACKSTORY

McMillan doesn’t give a crap and he lets everyone know it. He fights not because he has to, but because he wants to. The difference is important for him. A sucker for pain will stand with anyone; but isn’t afraid to spice things up. Yet has a tendency to fight to his opponent’s level; which could result in a “Fight of the Night” candidate or the “dullest” fight ever.

The sort of person that didn’t ever back down from anything; McMillan was born to a middle class family and you could say, had it “easy” growing up. Nevertheless he always craved something more; something that could excite him, to give him a rush every time and he found that in fighting. Known for getting into fights whenever he could, and being somewhat of a hooligan; McMillan grew a reputation as a street fighter you didn’t want to mess with (even with his rather short stature). Someone (he will change the story every time) thought he had talent and took him to a gym to polish his talents. After a while he took his first steps in the world of professional fighting and, well, you can say he’s a work in progress.

FIGHTING STYLE

PRIMARY: Boxing

SECONDARY: Muay Thai, Shoot Wrestling

STANCE: Orthodox

STRENGTHS

  1. Superb Boxing Skills: Due to his past as a “street fighter”, he developed some boxing skills that were polished in the gym he worked out of. Making him one of, if not the best boxer in MMA (outside of actual boxers transitioning to MMA)

  2. Great Conditioning: Given his “street fighting” was basically done in a “kill or be killed” fashion and fights didn’t end until someone was basically knocked out unconscious; he developed a marathon runner kind of conditioning.

  3. Walking Zombie: Again, his reputation precedes him; the man is a walking zombie, he’ll eat shots many others would crumble from and just continue to move forward.

WEAKNESSES

  1. Tendency to fight to his opponent’s ability: If you put a guy that’s above his level or is willing to engage; you’ll have easily a fight of the night contender. If you put him against someone that’s not willing to engage and/or is inferior to him; he’ll lower his intensity and can become dull.

  2. Complete noob when it comes to submissions: All three of his defeats so far have come by way of submission. Even if he knows a bit; he’s not polished by any means. He can defend himself, but that’s about it. You get him to the ground and; unless you don’t know what you’re doing; it’s possibly game over for him.

  3. Pacing: He doesn’t know how to pace himself. In the streets he didn’t have a clock, so he just went all out all the time. He does the same thing in the cage and it often leads to him getting a bit gassed in the later rounds.
