Sandoval has a dual personality; when promoting a fight or engaging with his opponent, he's seen as somewhat cocky, with a more carefree and relaxed attitude. However on fight day, the second he steps into the arena, he becomes laser focused. He listens only to what his coaches tell him, and tunes out everything except himself, his team, and his opponent.

​Ricardo Sandoval, "Rickie", was an acclaimed gold medalist Olympic freestyle wrestler, with over 7 gold metals to his name in the past 8 years. However, as Rickie grew older, he became more and more satisfied with his wrestling career, and wanted to take his experience to a front where he could be put to the test. Joining the Chicago MMA fight team as a newer prospect, Rickie won several amateur MMA bouts, combining his high level wrestling with a savage style of striking, to earn several knockouts, and even a few submissions. Sandoval and his team now feel he is ready to take his work to the professional level, and with a new contract with Union Grand Prix, hopes to make a mark on the middleweight division.
