[After the opening montage promo comes to a completion, we transition inside the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana which is packed with over 17,000 fans in attendance. The crowd is on their feet cheering in anticipation for the night’s bouts. Camera angles pan around from one point to another, catching fans, athletes, and celebrities in attendance. We then transition to meet Patrick Carson and Warhead Williams standing cageside.]

PATRICK CARSON

Welcome ladies and gentlemen, we are live exclusively on the Battleground Network here at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana and this is Boss Fight XII! I am Patrick Carson and alongside me is none other than Warhead Williams, and we are just moments away for another exciting night of fights!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

No doubt about it, Pat. Tonight we continue with another series of Championship Grand Prix Tournament bouts, and move one step closer to the ultimate goal. Tonight on the main card, we have three heavyweight bouts, two bantamweight bouts, and one cruiserweight bout as our main event of evening.

PATRICK CARSON

Kicking the night off, we have the inaugural Heavyweight Champion Ferdinand Diao taking on the man who scored a surprising debut submission victory in JT Spencer.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Spencer looked good in his debut fight, but let's not beat around the bush here. JT is going up against the first Heavyweight Champion in Union Grand Prix, the man has his hands full tonight.

PATRICK CARSON

I won't argue with that. Our second heavyweight bout is between two guys who damn near squared up on each other in Chicago and I think we can safely say, there is zero respect between Kennard Rozier and Amani Crawford.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Yeah it was a tense moment at UGP 13 when the two big men had to be separated and eventually escorted away from the scene. I'm pumped to see these go finally go at it and find out who will move on in the Tournament.

PATRICK CARSON

The final heavyweight bout of the night is between Bobbi London and Mike Hunt, two fighters who have shown time and again that they possess some serious knockout power.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I can see these two just swinging for the fences right out of the gate and ending it in the first frame. Who stands as the victor is anyone's guess really. London has more experience in the cage, but Hunt looked very impressive in his Union Grand Prix debut.

PATRICK CARSON

And now let's turn our attentions to the newest division, the Bantamweights. Our first fight at 135 tonight is between two very respected competitors who are looking to really get some momentum going. Saffron Harris and Julia Tran are two highly skilled grapplers, so I expect to see a technical clinic.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Both of these women have had some ups and downs so far in their Union tenure, so you know they are both going to come into this one laser focused and looking to outsmart their opponent. I think this one has the potential to be a Fight of the Night candidate.

PATRICK CARSON

Our second Bantamweight bout of the evening is our Co-Main Event bout between Zari Aliyah and Dallas Meechan. Aliyah comes in as the top seeded fighter in the Bantamweight tournament, while Meechan had to win to get in.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

It's not going to be an easy road for Meechan, who is still wet behind the ears. He's going to have to execute a flawless strategy to even stand a chance against Aliyah.

PATRICK CARSON

And finally, our Main Event of the evening. Jakko Wirman and Lake Reese will square off in a Cruiserweight Bout that has so much potential to be a barn burner.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Both of these guys are still very young in their MMA careers, but have showed so many great things. You have to expect that Wirman is going to utilize his size advantage over the smaller Reese, but there's a reason why they call Lake Reese "Smooth". The guy flows like water when he's inside the octagon, so he may look to counter Wirman's aggression in his favor.

PATRICK CARSON

All of that here tonight. So without further ado, let's toss it over to our very own Mike Dempsey, who is standing inside the octagon. Mike, take it away!

BF12_DIAO-VS-SPENCER.png

ITS THE R ROUGHER THAN ROUGH THAT'S HOW I DO IT

A ALLAH WHO I PRAISE TO THE FULLEST

K KEEP IT MOVING,

I STAND ALONE

M IT'S MY CROWN, MY WORLD, MY THRONE

[”R.A.K.I.M." by Rakim begins to play as J.T. and his fight team walk out to the heavy beat. He is shrouded in his gold and black hooded robe as he bobs his head to the tune as it builds to a crescendo.]

PATRICK CARSON

Our first walk out of the night is one of the newest additions to a revamped heavyweight division and a man that executed an impressive debut win to officially qualify for the Heavyweight Championship Grand Prix.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Spencer was added to a qualifying bout against another debuting fighter in the eleventh hour of bracket seeding, and he's made the most of it so far. He's coming in with some momentum, but his next obstacle here will be a true measurement of where he stands in this division.

[Spencer makes his way to cageside and get checked out one last time after shedding his robe. He puts in his mouthpiece, and enters the cage. He bounces around, warming up with a few punches before taking the center and letting out a loud roar as he prepares for combat.]

YOUR REIGN ON THE TOP WAS SHORT LIKE LEPRECHAUNS

AS I CRUSH SO-CALLED WILLIES, THUGS, AND RAPPER-DONS

GET IN THAT ASS, QUICK FAST, LIKE RAMADAN

IT’S THAT RAP PHENOMENON DON-DADDA

["Kick in the Door" by Notorious B.I.G. thumps over the loudspeaker and “The Lion” Ferdinand Diao emerges to the stage wearing his gold and white walkout fight kit with crew members from his camp following behind. Diao burrows his head down while slowly stalking down the aisle, never once losing focus.]

PATRICK CARSON

Coming down to cageside now is the inaugural Heavyweight Champion, Ferdinand Diao. Anybody who's watched this guy knows he has some deadly hands and has a high motor where he can just go for days.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

We've been told he has exceptional cardio, but we have yet to see it really. All six of his fights have ended inside the first round, a testament to the hard hitting division. Will this fight be any different? We're about to find out!

[Diao finally makes it to cageside where he is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, he climbs up the steps and calmly takes his place in his corner, rolling his massive shoulders to keep loose.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, we are live exclusively on the Battleground Network here at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana for Boss Fight XII! And now, this opening bout is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Heavyweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Wrestler with a professional mixed martial arts record of 1-0. He stands at 6’4” and weighing in at 262 pounds. He is from Los Angeles, California, he is J.T. ”Showtime” Spencer!

[J.T. Spencer looks a bit uneasy, but remains focused on his opponent across the octagon.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Brawler with a professional mixed martial arts record of 3-3. He stands 6’3” and weighing in at 263 pounds. He is from Dakar, Senegal, fighting out of Team Brutal, he is the former Union Grand Prix Heavyweight Champion of the World, ”The Lion” Ferdinand Diao!

[Ferocious staredown by The Lion while Dusty Whittaker recites the rules.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

It sounds like the Spencer has worked the crowd in his favor here tonight, but the betting lines see it differently. Ferdinand comes in as the heavy favorite, which can obviously be attributed to his past accolades.

PATRICK CARSON

That's the beautiful thing about this sport though, anything can happen and your whole world can be turned upside down with one clean shot. The referee for this opening bout is Dusty Whittaker and he looks ready to get this one started. He checks off with each man one last time and calls for the bell! And here we go!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[The bell sounds to get the fight underway, and both men come out confidently to square up in the center of the cage. Spencer, wasting very little time, launches a nasty inside leg kick to the right leg of Ferdinand Diao to get things started. The kick goes unchecked, and the smack echoes out through the crowd.]

PATRICK CARSON

Oof. That kick hurt. You can see it on Ferdinand’s face. He’s gotta check those.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Right Pat. It’s a smart move by Spencer too, because those kicks over time will slow a fighter down and limit his ability to plant himself to throw those bombs.

[Spencer steps in again with a huge haymaker attempt, but Diao slips his head out of the way quickly to land flush with a smooth counter uppercut. J.T stumbles back a few steps, clearly dazed, and Diao goes on the pursuit. Spencer doesn’t back down! Instead, he plants himself against the fence and begins to trade with Diao! It’s an insane exchange of punches, and the fans inside the smoothie king center are on their feet! Ferdinand gets the better of the exchange, landing a left hook, right straight combo that drops J.T. Spencer to a knee! Ferdinand keeps up the pressure, uncorking a quick combo on the closed block of Spencer as the downed fighter pushes himself back to his feet.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

What a slugfest! These guys are swinging for the fences early! J.T Spencer looks hurt, and his corner looks super concerned…

PATRICK CARSON

But, he’s showing tremendous heart here by getting back to his feet. He’s gotta create some distance though and get his back off the fence.

[J.T Spencer looks to take control of the brawl by locking up an over under clinch. He turns and pins “The Lion” against the cage and the crowd lets out a cheer to see the underdog take control. The fight stalls out a bit here for a bit, until J.T. Spencer shrugs his way out the clinch with a looping elbow that's blocked by Diao. Spencer circles out and slips free of Ferdinand's grip, sucking in a big breath of air to try and shake off the cobwebs. He spits out a stream of blood and spit, before giving Ferdinand a bloody smile. “The Lion” circles out and studies his opponent, looking for any hole in his defense as they square up again in the center of the cage.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Good job by J.T. Spencer on getting out of that bad situation. He seems to have a bit of blood in his mouth. Maybe he bit his cheek or tongue?

PATRICK CARSON

Or a loose tooth. Those mouthpieces only protect so much. Diao looks to be in prime form here tonight though as he stalks Spencer. He’s walking him down.

[Both men throw out a few jabs, but Diao makes a good read and follows up to land another pinpoint accurate right cross! J.T answers back with a quick combo to make for another exciting exchange but Diao puts an end to it with a brutal overhand right that lands flush on the jaw of Spencer. Somehow he eats it! No one in attendance has any idea how J.T Spencer is still standing. A wobbly Spencer fires back again, and the two men exchange wildly in the center of the cage. Ferdinand clips Spencer across the bridge of the nose with a hook and opens up a nasty cut, forcing J.T. to step out and regroup. Diao goes on the chase and smacks Spencer hard with a spinning backfist to the side of the head! J.T. is dazed!]

PATRICK CARSON

It looks like Spencer was hit by a bus! He’s in huge trouble here as Ferdinand Diao picks him apart.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I don’t know how J.T. survived that overhand. This guy has a chin of steel but it looks like all those big shots are taking its toll. I hope the ref doesn’t stop this one yet. It’s a barn burner.

[J.T. seems to bounce back rather quickly and the two fighters show each other respect with a quick glove touch. Spencer launches a stiff jab, but “The Lion” ducks under it and comes back up with a HUGE hook, shades of Iron Mike Tyson in his prime. Spencer is rocked again, and he goes on a wobbly backpedal as he tries his best to block a furious flurry of punches from Ferdinand Diao. Spencer's cheek is beginning to swell already from the impact of the punch, and there is a decent size cut above his left eye as well. J.T. circles out away from danger and both men take a moment to catch their breaths and regroup. The camera gets a shot of J.T. Spencer’s face and he is a complete bloody mess. The Ref takes the opportunity to step between the two men and waves the doctor in to look at the cut.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

If I jinxed myself and they stop this fight, I’m going to be pissed. On the other hand though, Spencer is looking rough. His eye is nearly swollen shut and if that wasn’t bad enough? The blood from that cut is going right into it.

PATRICK CARSON

Yeah his corner looks like they’re ready to throw in the towel themselves. He is getting tuned up out here by the former champ. We’ve seen a lot of heart but he needs more than that right now. He needs skill.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Well, it looks like they’re going to let him fight on but they’ll be keeping a watchful eye on him from here on out I’m sure.

[The ref restarts the action and both men circle the center of the cage. Spencer dips in and  launches a quick combo, catching Diao on the chin with a solid right. “The Lion” steps back and feints a few punches as he looks for angles and reads on his opponent. Spencer steps in again to trade, but finds himself on the receiving end of a blistering four piece combo that rocks him and sends him stumbling backwards. Spencer’s face is a crimson mask now and he tries to take the fight to his advantage by looking to clinch up. Diao wants nothing to do with that, and he forcefully shoves Spencer off him and back against the cage. J.T. bounces off the fence and looks to come back with a right hook but he’s too slow. Ferdinand Diao clocks him with another looping overhand right like before and this one is enough to do the trick. It lands flush on the jaw of J.T. Spencer, and he crumples to the mat like a sack of bricks. Ferdinand steps in to tack on a few extra shots, but there’s no need. Spencer is out cold. The referee jumps in and stops the fight, and Diao celebrates the walk off KO!]

PATRICK CARSON

It is alllllll over. WHAT A PUNCH. He ate the first one but the second one put him to sleep. Man, Diao looked scary out there. Was this his way of putting the heavyweight roster on notice? If so, it spoke volumes.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

You have to think so. He wants that title back and if he’s turning in performances like this? It may very well be in the cards. Can’t wait to see him back in the cage, Pat.

[The crowd roars with cheers as Ferdinand Diao celebrates his big rebound victory. Doctors tend to Spencer for a while before helping him back up to his feet. After the medical team finish their work with both fighters, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Dusty Whittaker has called for a stop in this fight at 4 minutes 18 seconds in the very first round, for your winner by knockout, ”The Lion” Ferdinand Diao!

[The crowd cheers once more as Diao has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight while the commentators recap.]

DIAMONDS ON FLEEK

BITCH, I AIN'T TALKING ABOUT THE HEAT, OH

PUT IT ON, STREETS

WE STRAIGHT OUT THE STREETS

WE STRAIGHT OUT THE STREETS

STRAIGHT OUT THE STREETS TO A PENTHOUSE

[As “Clout” by Offset begins to play over the PA system, Kennard Rozier slowly emerges from the main stage wearing his baby blue and grey walkout fight kit. Various members from the 9th World Performance Institute follow close behind him, most notably Head Coach Ray Delhommes.]

PATRICK CARSON

The KC product, Kennard Rozier, has been on a steady incline since debuting here in Union Grand Prix. Two first-round finishes in just over six minutes combined, the guy has some serious potential.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

And this is a monumental stage for Rozier to truly showcase his skillset. He and Crawford nearly came to blows in Chicago at UGP 13, so there's no doubt some bad blood between these two coming in tonight.

[Rozier finally makes it to cageside, where he undresses down to his tights before getting inspected by the fight official. Once he's been cleared, Rozier bear crawls up the steps and lunges high into the air as he enters the cage. Rozier then calmly walks over to his corner, where he begins bouncing in place to stay loose.]

I SEE YOU

I SEE YOU LOOKING AT ME

LOOKING AT ME, SO I ASK

AM I A PSYCHO?

AM I A PSYCHO?

YEAH I’M A PSYCHO

I GUESS I’M A PSYCHO

[As "Am I A Psycho” by Tech N9ne bumps over the loudspeaker, the brutish Amani Crawford slowly steps out to the main stage. He comes out wearing his purple and white walkout fight kit with crew members from his camp following behind. Crawford burrows his head down while slowly marching down the aisle.]

PATRICK CARSON

Amani Crawford makes his way to the cage now and this is a do or die moment for him. Currently he's sitting on the last fight in his contract and has lost three of his last four fights. In my mind, this isn't just about moving forward in the tournament, but quite possibly fighting for his job!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I don't know that I'd go that far. Yes, Amani has been on a bad skid as of late, but the guy can compete. It'll definitely benefit him when he walks in Dante Reed’s office to begin negotiations if he's coming off a big win, but he can't be concerned about any of that right now, just focusing on getting past Kennard Rozier.

[Crawford makes it to cageside where he is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, he stomps up the steps and calmly takes his place in his corner.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following bout is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Heavyweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Kickboxer with a professional mixed martial arts record of 2-0. He stands at 6’5” and weighing in at 255 pounds. He is from Kansas City, Missouri, fighting out of 9th World Performance Institute, he is ”Pluggz” Kennard!

[Kennard Rozier is beating himself up in the corner before the fight begins, smacking himself in the face, body, and legs to get ready for his fight.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Wrestler with a professional mixed martial arts record of 2-3. He stands 6’6” and weighing in at 265 pounds. He is from Miami, Florida, he is ”Rock Hard” Amani Crawford!

[Ferocious staredown by Crawford while Willie Green recites the rules.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Both of these guys look ready to attack! Amani has the experience over Kennard, but Rozier is the better fighter in my opinion. It would be an upset if he doesn't walk out of this one with his hand raised.

PATRICK CARSON

And we are all squared away for our second of three heavyweight fights tonight. The referee of the bout is Willie Green. He checks off with each man and calls for the bell! And this fight is underway!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[Before the bell you can see Amani and Kennard sharing some vicious words from their corners. The bell rings and both fighters don't show any respect. Rozier quickly launches a solid middle kick that wrenches Amani's Ribs. It hurt him for sure his movements are not very coordinated now. A furious flurry of punches from Kennard Rozier puts Crawford in a world of hurt! There is a small laceration on Amani Crawford's right eye already. He stumbles backwards and he's an easy target for Kennard Rozier!]

PATRICK CARSON

These two have been sharing words since Amani knew Kennard would be facing him.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

But right now Kennard is all over Amani. If Amani doesn't do something quickly I don't see this lasting long.

[BANG! Kennard launches a thunderous right hook to Amani's rib. The shot was so hard that Amani drops to his knees. Kennard goes in for some more shots but Willie has already seen enough and knows Amani couldn't last any longer so he moves Kennard out of the way calling an end to the fight. The crowd cheers as Kennard celebrates with his corner.]

PATRICK CARSON

Wow! Just wow...look at the faces in the crowd.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

58 seconds was all it took. Man listen this guy is viscous. I was really looking forward to a clash of styles in this one but man he attacked and never stopped attacking.

PATRICK CARSON

Right Warhead. He just never let Amani get a hold of him and showed great power and hand speed. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing him in a Heavyweight title fight!

[The crowd explodes into cheers and Rozier is swarmed by his corner crew in celebration. Doctors tend to Crawford for a while before helping him to his feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Willie Green has called for a stop in this fight at 57 seconds in the very first round, for your winner by knockout, ”Pluggz” Kennard Rozier!

[The crowd cheers once again as Rozier has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

"DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER" BY SHIRLEE MANSON

BEGINS TO PLAY

[As the music begins to play over the loudspeaker and the lights dim down, Julia Tran emerges from the main stage and the crowd roars with cheers. Tran has her Real Killas crew following close behind her as she grins and waves to the crowd.]

PATRICK CARSON

One of the youngest competitors, and certainly the smallest in Union Grand Prix, Julia Tran has without a doubt one of the strongest wills there is in this entire industry. Even with the addition of the Bantamweight class, she will typically give up 20-30 pounds in any given fight.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

She has always come in with a substantial physical disadvantage, but what she lacks in stature, she makes up in determination, a truly defined trait over at Real Killas. She’s coming into this one after scoring her first victory, so she’s got to be feeling good about herself.

[Tran makes it to cageside and strips down to her fight gear. The fight official checks to ensure she’s fit to fight, and once she’s been cleared, she gives each one of her crew a hug before racing up the steps and darting straight to her corner.]

I’LL TAKE YOU TO THE CANDY SHOP

I’LL LET YOU LICK THE LOLLIPOP

GO ‘HEAD GIRL DON’T YOU STOP

KEEP GOING ‘TIL YOU HIT THE SPOT, WHOA

["Candy Shop" by The Baseballs plays over the loudspeaker and Saffron Harris emerges to the stage wearing her purple and white walkout fight kit with crew members from her camp following behind. Harris looks calm and focused, almost cracking a slight grin as she heads down to the cage.]

PATRICK CARSON

Listen to the crowd here tonight, and it’s clear to see that everyone loves Saffron Harris. Win or lose, she continuously has the respect of fans and fighters pretty much everywhere. Tonight is her first step in getting back on track and inch closer to championship gold.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

She’s a consummate professional, never really one to talk badly about anyone. But tonight she’s coming in on a two fight losing skid, her last being that shocking loss to the debuting Tilly-Jean Wade, and you know she’s hungry to get back in the win column.

[Harris makes it to cageside where she is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, she climbs up the steps and jogs her way over to her corner.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following bout is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Bantamweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Judo Grappler with a professional mixed martial arts record of 1-2. She stands 5’3” and weighing in at 105 pounds. She is from Can Tho, Vietnam, by way of Huntington Beach, California, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, she is “The Jewel” Julia Tran!

[Tran looks like she has been waiting for this fight forever.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And her opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Grappler with a professional mixed martial arts record of 3-4. She stands 5’5” and weighing in at 130 pounds. She is from Fayetteville, Arkansas, fighting out of Throne MMA Las Vegas, she is Saffron Harris!

[Saffron Harris looks like she's feeling the pressure a bit as she stays focused and makes no acknowledgment of the crowd’s applause.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

We are just a few moments away to getting this Bantamweight fight kicked off and both women look rearing to go. Saffron comes in as the slight favorite,  it like we mentioned earlier, you can never count Julia Tran out.

PATRICK CARSON

It’s a battle of wills, and a battle of technical prowess. Now, our referee of the bout is Jordan Ripley. He checks off with each woman one last time and calls for the bell! And this fight in underway!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[Harris and Tran move forward as the bell signals the beginning of the fight! The fighters size each other up in the center of the cage. Harris launches a flurry of punches but only manages to land glancing blows. As the fight continues it seems that Saffron Harris is taking the best of the fight. Saffron Harris fakes a punch and shows some footwork moving aside and gets the clinch. Saffron Harris holds Julia Tran against the fence with her fingers all over Tran's face and gets some shots in. Tran looks uncomfortable and struggles to get off the cage. Harris takes advantage of it and lands some big punches to the ribs. Harris takes a break to breathe while holding Tran and Jordan Ripley separates the fighters and tells them to continue fighting in the center.]

PATRICK CARSON

Good strategy controlling the tempo by Saffron Harris with the clinch.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

She landed some solid body shots there which takes a bigger toll than what some folks may realize.

[Tran moves aside and launches a furious low kick that hits Harris’ thigh. Tran grabs a hold of Harris’ leg but she shows great balance and pushes Tran off. Harris fires an unorthodox punch to Tran's torso that hits its mark. Tran gets a body shot right back and a right hand from Harris makes Tran stumble back! Harris chases after her but Tran lunges forward and gets the clinch. Tran gets double underhooks and looks for the takedown. Harris pummels back into position but Tran grabs her opponent by the waist and gets a great takedown.]

[Julia Tran is in open guard over Harris. Harris tries to close her guard but Tran goes for a Leg Lock trying to finish, but Harris is able to break the lock.]

PATRICK CARSON

Solid takedown by Julia Tran and she immediately goes for a submission.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

She isn’t going to let her opponent take any breaks and will continually keep the pressure on.

[Tran moves to side mount and Harris hits some hammer blows to her ribs. Tran tags her with a flurry of punches. A lot of those punches hit Harris’ face. Tran tries to get the full mount but she overcommits and Saffron Harris takes advantage of this and traps Tran in her full guard.]

[Harris tries to hit some more hammer blows to Tran’s side and face but Tran returns these with punches to the face. Tran is able to get into side mount and goes for a Kimura. Harris is able to break the lock and Tran goes for some more punches. Harris covers up sneaking in some hammer punches. The buzzer sounds and the ref stops the action, ending the round.]

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[The second round opens up and Harris lands a bone shattering straight right hand. Tran ducks under a left and lands a hard low kick to Harris’ left leg and tries for the clinch. Harris tries to push her away but Tran gets double underhooks. Tran goes for a takedown but Harris sprawls and remains on her feet. Tran gets a hold of Saffron Harris' right leg and Harris loses balance and goes to the ground.]

PATRICK CARSON

Another solid takedown for Julia Tran and she’s looking to take control with her high level judo and ground game.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Tran needs to try and capitalize on it. Saffron has been able to work in some solid strikes and keep Julia in some awkward positions.

[Tran quickly moves from side mount to full mount over Harris denying all of Harris’ efforts to escape from the position. Tran goes for some punches but Harris is able to push Tran’s knee away and rolls to get half guard. Saffron then pushes Tran’s leg down and gets to full mount! Tran is in trouble now!]

PATRICK CARSON

And now Saffron Harris looks to take control on the ground with some exceptional movement to get to full mount!

[Harris sits high on Tran's chest and pulls her leg underneath Tran's head. There's the triangle attempt! Tran tries to roll out and uses her quickness to slip out! That was a risky move by Harris and it cost her top position. Tran gets into Harris’ closed guard. Tran tries to get into a better position and Harris gets an arm and tries to apply an armbar. Tran spins out, but Saffron Harris was ready for it and quickly switches to a triangle choke! Tran quickly gets out of this and they jostle for position. After a few moments Jordan Ripley halts the fight to stand up Saffron Harris. The fight resumes with both fighters standing.]

PATRICK CARSON

Wow, Saffron Harris was putting the pressure in Tran with a lot of submission looks.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Tran was able to escape, but boy oh boy she needs to be careful and not underestimate Harris’ Jiu-Jitsu skills.

[Both fighters circle around the center of the cage without engaging but showing each other a ton of respect. Tran tries a middle kick that Harris blocks with her arm! Wow, that was loud! Tran gets a leg and a takedown. Tran moves to side mount and lands some pity pat punches that bother Harris but don’t seem to hurt her much. Harris lands some hits to Tran’s ribs and Tran blocks those punches. The buzzer sounds and Jordan Ripley tells the fighters to go to their corners as the round is over.]

=========================================

ROUND THREE

=========================================

[Harris starts the third round hot and lands some tremendous punches! Tran gets a cut on her cheek from the blows. Tran wants nothing from that exchange and she attempts a sweep single. Tran catches Harris’ far ankle and trips her to the mat! Slick takedown by Tran. She lands a crushing shot to Harris' body! Harris holds her side but manages to close her guard on Tran but Tran postures up, opening the guard to transition from side mount into full mount with some slick movement on the ground.]

PATRICK CARSON

Tran is cut which makes you wonder if it’ll affect her vision at all.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Harris has worked in the strikes superbly, but Tran shuts it down and brings the fight back to the ground.

[Harris goes for some hammer punches to Trans ribs but Tran blocks them this time. Tran lands some punches of her own now, leaving some bruises on Harris. Harris tries to roll to her side and trap Tran in her guard and she gets her hip out and moves to closed guard. They continue to exchange punches while trying to look for an opening and improve their positions. Harris suddenly reaches under and rolls for a kneebar but Tran blocks the attempt and uses the opportunity to seize half guard. Tran fakes a few punches and then slips one leg to get the half guard. Harris launches a few weak punches that Tran is able to block. The referee decides to stand up the fighters since there was not much action on the ground.]

PATRICK CARSON

Once again Julia Tran fails to capitalize once taking the fight to the mat, and referee Jordan Ripley brings both fighters back to their feet.

[Both fighters have climbed to their feet and they continue the fight standing until Tran dashes forward and gets the clinch. Harris tries to duck under and move away but she is unable to. Tran shows some wrestling skills as she puts her opponent in double overhooks! Tran pushes her opponent against the fence and launches a furious kick to the ribs!]

PATRICK CARSON

Great kick that lands and now Julia is looking to continue to pour it on Saffron.

[Harris throws a flurry of punches but Tran ducks under and circles out. The fighters size each other up in the center of the cage. Tran fakes a punch and shows some footwork moving aside. Tran steps forward, Harris feints, but before anything else can happen Jordan Ripley steps in between them and separates the fighters as the round concludes. The fighters shake hands as they head back to their corners.]

PATRICK CARSON

And that’s the fight folks. Pretty close overall if you ask me.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

No doubt it was a chess match out there tonight. Let’s now turn this over to the judges for the official decision

[The crowd cheers for both fighters as they embrace each other with a hug as a gesture of mutual respect. Doctors tend to each woman for a while and after they finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, after three rounds, we go to the judges’ cards. Judge Miranda Franco scores it 29-28 Harris, Judge Max Carver scores it 29-28 Tran, and Judge Ozzie Sebastian scores it 29-28 for the winner by Split Decision, Saffron Harris!

[The crowd cheers once again as Saffron Harris has her hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

[Lake Reese and Kennard Rozier are standing with with Savannah Skye. Getting the cue that everything is ready Savannah starts.]

SAVANNAH SKYE

As you know by now I'm standing here with Lake Reese and Kennard Rozier. Both members of 9th World. Kennard... There were words said between you and Amani. Some very strong ones. How much did that go into what you did tonight?

KENNARD ROZIER

Everything my gurl. When this Nigga mentioned ma dukes it became personal. He really became a oop and you know Pluggz ain't fucking with no oops G. Amani was doing his best to get in my head but I'm cool. The game plan was set and I'm happy to add another W to the resume.

SAVANNAH SKYE

Lake you're in the Main Event tonight. How are you feeling about tonight?

LAKE REESE

I'm feeling good about it. Can't be nervous or anything like that or I'm gonna shit the bed. Jakko's a good fighter with experience and a Killa at that so I know he's ready to go. Win or lose I'm just happy to be able to fight tonight.

[Kennard's heard saying win or lose my boy you winning.]

SAVANNAH SKYE

Well thanks guys and the best of luck.

BF12_LONDON-VS-HUNT.png

ATTENTION PLEASE, ATTENTION PLEASE

THIS SHIT HERE FEELS LIKE A WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD COLLAPSED

MOTHERFUCKER!

[“Ante Up” by M.O.P. ft. Busta Rhymes, Teflon, and Remy Martin  thumps over the loudspeaker and Mike Hunt emerges to the main stage wearing his walkout fight kit with crew members from his camp following behind. Hunt has a stone cold look on his face as he never breaks stride and slowly prowls down the aisle.]

PATRICK CARSON

Quite possibly the biggest man in the Heavyweight Division in terms of natural walking weight, Mike Hunt is a straight up beast! The man made his MMA debut defeating Hanako Takeuchi for the IJPW Shoot Crown Championship, and won his debut fight in Union Grand Prix in convincing fashion.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

He showed off a high volume of strikes in his debut, which was impressive in any weight class. But for a guy his size to go hard like that, it’s just scary to think what he’s capable of. I’m looking forward to see what he brings to the table tonight.

[Hunt makes it to cageside where he is checked by the fight official. Once he’s cleared, he races up the steps and jogs around the cage a couple times before staying put in his corner.]

SO YOU’RE JUST SOME CUNT

A FUCKING DUMB CUNT

YOU FUCK WITH ME AND I’LL LEAVE YOU ON THE RUN CUNT

[Bobbi London makes her way through the entrance with the Australian flag draped over her. The heavyset fighter bounces around on her feet nimbly, despite her size as she plays to the camera. She begins to walk towards the octagon and waves the flag around as she leads a loud chant for the fans;]

“AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE, Oi Oi Oi!”

PATRICK CARSON

Bobbi London has become a solid fixture in the heavyweight division, and one that has been on the cusp of title contention. This fight is huge for her and Hunt, as the winner goes on to the semifinals of the Grand Prix tournament to face the newly crowned Heavyweight Champion Donnie Calabrese!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

London has faced Dog Face once before in a losing effort, so I think that’s in the back of her mind. If she can get past Mike Hunt here tonight, she earns a shot at redemption with the title on the line. Big stakes!

[London finally makes it to cageside, where she gets checked on by the fight official. Once she’s been cleared, she bolts up the steps and takes one last lap around the cage then settles into her corner, posting her flag there as she prepares to fight.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following bout is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Heavyweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Boxer with a professional mixed martial arts record of 2-0. He stands at 6’1” and weighing in at 265 pounds. He is from Queens, New York, he is “Bam Bam Jigglow” Mike Hunt!

[Mike Hunt is calm in his corner. He looks confident in his abilities.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Boxer with a professional mixed martial arts record of 2-3. She stands 5’7” and weighing in at 265 pounds. She is from Queensland, Australia, fighting out of Xpress Fighting Systems, she is “Big Beautiful” Bobbi London!

[A ferocious staredown by London shoots daggers at her opponent while Herschel Warden recites the rules.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This is the first time these two meet inside the cage and I gotta say, it's hard to say who will win this fight. The experts and chatters on social media doesn't have a favorite either.

PATRICK CARSON

Two brawlers set to square off. Anything can happen and we’re about to see some sparks fly! The referee of the bout is Herschel Warden and he calls for the bell!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[London and Hunt move forward as the bell signals the beginning of the fight! The two exchange wildly throwing punches in bunches. Hunt is connecting with a few punches making London back off. London moves forward into a clinch but Mike Hunt struggles a bit before breaking London's attempt of grappling then he opens up on London raining down combinations as London's corner goes mad.]

[London throws a wild kick but Hunt grabs a hold of her left leg. He's trying to take her down. London loses balance and goes to the ground. Hunt wrenches London’s left leg awkwardly to do so and it appears to be injured.]

PATRICK CARSON

And like we said, these waste little time trading blows before Hunt decides to take this one to the mat.

[Mike Hunt is in side mount over Bobbi London and looks to end the fight with some ground and pound. He reaches back and unloads some heavy lefts on London as the crowd goes wild. London covers up and Hunt takes his chance to move his knee over and gets the full mount.]

[London measures the resilience of Hunt's ribs with a couple of big punches from guard. Those hits are leaving hitches in Hunt's side. Hunt tries to keep his position while looking to maybe begin som GnP. Hunt controls the situation despite London’s efforts to escape from the full mount.]

PATRICK CARSON

Hunt is controlling the tempo very well on the ground here. London looks to be in a bad spot.

[Bobbi London still fights from guard and launches a few punches to Hunt's cheek. Those punches sure are annoying because Hunt tries to cover his face. Hunt recovers and launches a barrage of elbows on London’s face Bobbi London blocks the elbows and tries to cool down the fight.]

[Bobbi London tries to roll to her side and trap Mike Hunt in her guard but Mike Hunt rolls her over and takes her back to get the rear mount. London tries to roll and find an escape however her technique is poorly executed and Hunt viciously slams hammer blows to London's head!]

[London regains her composure and finally showing some ground skills, London manages to escape from that position and climb to her feet along with Hunt, much to the delight of the audience. You can hear how  people agree with London’s decision.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Bobbi escapes and brings the fight back on the feet.

[Mike Hunt doesn’t agree and he immediately gets London in the clinch. They jostle for position and London takes a breather. After a period of inactivity, Herschel Warden separates the fighters.]

[Bobbi London delivers some nice punches and Hunt staggers backwards. London wants to finish this and continues launching bombs! Hunt decides to launch some tentative punches. London launches a couple of jabs that are answered by Hunt with a stiff cross!]

PATRICK CARSON

Solid exchange here!

[Bobbi London throws a combo but Mike Hunt ducks under and catches her with a counter straight! London swings again, only to get countered once more. London is looking bad here. London pushes Mike Hunt and moves away from him. She seems to be recovering his breath.]

[Bobbi London tries a hook to the body but Hunt manages to dodge it and tries to take advantage of the sloppy strike to get into the clinch. Hunt shows some wrestling skills as he put his opponent in a double overhook!]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Bobbi London looks gassed early here. Hunt should try to put the pressure on her now.

[London comes alive and she is able to throw a flurry of punches! Mike Hunt just can't get away! Hunt has a small cut on his right cheek. London pushes off of Hunt and starts launching a flurry of hooks and body shots! Hunt stumbles backward but London chases him and continues the rain of blows! Hunt is being hit hard here!]

PATRICK CARSON

And now it’s London who is just unloading on Hunt!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This one could be over soon!

[London grabs a hold of Hunt to clinch but Hunt pushes away. Hunt tries to keep the fight at striking range but London doesn't want to break the clinch as she is still grappling. London takes a break to breathe while holding Mike. The referee intervenes to break the clinch. When they come together they get in a wild exchange of punches. London has some bruises on her face as both fighters are connecting and this could be ending soon if either lands a lucky punch.]

[London looks for angles as she throws a few jabs that are countered by Hunt's punches. London measures the resilience of Hunt's chin with an uppercut while Hunt lands some great crosses. The buzzer sounds, marking the end of the round. The ref tells the fighters to go to their corner.]

PATRICK CARSON

Incredible first round by both fighters here! Neither one was looking to give any leeway and it resulted in a knockdown, drag out brawl!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Just what the fans wanted to see here tonight. London looked pretty tired there towards the end of the round, let’s see if she can regroup and keep the tempo up.

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[London wastes no time and starts swinging for the fences! Hunt backpedals and creates space. London motions for Hunt to engage and asks him if he wants to fight. London throws some more hard punches but misses. Hunt tries to take advantage and he launches a few perfect strikes. London ducks backward and avoids them. London fires back and they exchange with some strikes. They are both connecting with hard punches but they are losing steam.]

PATRICK CARSON

Both of these fighters are starting to get sloppy. They need to be careful, one slip up could be disastrous.

[London connects with a hook to the body that hits right on Hunt’s ribs. Hunt looks hurt but he is able to dodge a flurry of punches from Bobbi London. Hunt tries to counter now but London jumps backwards to avoid them as well. London leans forward and tries to grapple with Hunt, but Hunt steps to the side to avoid the clinch. Hunt counters by feigning and moving forward with a big hook. Hunt lands with a crushing shot and cuts London on the chin.]

PATRICK CARSON

Big hook from Mike Hunt!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Bobbi is split open now. Mike Hunt smells blood in the water!

[Hunt looks for angles as he throws a few jabs but they are countered. Hunt measures the resilience of London's chin with an uppercut while London lands some great crosses. London lands a brilliant combination that puts Hunt on the defense. Hunt tries to look for an opening and lands a stiff jab. London steps back and swipes at his eye but Herschel Warden lets the fight continue.]

[Mike Hunt tries to take the fight to the ground with a single leg takedown but London jumps backward and frees her leg. Hunt keeps going forward looking for that takedown and he gets it! London goes down.]

PATRICK CARSON

Another solid takedown from Hunt.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I don’t think there’s anything left in the tank for London. Hunt was able to take her down pretty effortlessly there.

[Mike Hunt moves from half guard over London and after a few probing punches he moves into full guard. London hits some punches to Hunt’s ribs and moves Hunt into half guard again. Hunt makes her pay by viciously slamming hammer blows onto London!]

[London tries to aim for Hunt’s face from the half guard but Hunt covers up so London peppers his ribs with some quick punches. Mike Hunt storms over London with a biblical punishment in the form of elbows! Hunt doesn't stop and viciously lands again‌ ‌and‌ ‌again! London attempts to get up but Hunt stuffs the attempt and hooks London's right leg and sits back for a kneebar! Bobbi London manages to kick Hunt away and scrambles on top!]

PATRICK CARSON

Costly submission attempt there for Hunt as London was able to break free and scramble on top.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I tell ya, just when you think she’s done, she bursts with some nice offense to keep Hunt honest.

[Bobbi London is now on top and Hunt wraps his legs around him to get London in his closed guard. Hunt tries to roll on the ground and gets a slick reversal getting the full mount over London! Hunt lies on top of London and he seems gassed. Hunt still manages to control the situation despite Bobbi London’s efforts to escape from the full mount.]

[Hunt delivers a few accurate elbows that opens up London’s forehead. London tries to get out of this position but unfortunately gives up her back. She tries to cover up as Hunt continues to throw down some punishing elbows. He's tearing up London's face with those brutal elbows! London needs to do something! The referee is threatening to stop it! Herschel Warden has seen enough! The fight is over! London was not intelligently defending herself!]

PATRICK CARSON

And it’s all over! Mike Hunt delivers some incredible elbows to finish this one off!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Bobbi London showed a lot of heart out there, but she had nothing left and the referee called it off before she got seriously hurt. Good call for the ref.

[The crowd explodes into cheers and Mike Hunt is swarmed by his corner crew in celebration. Doctors tend to London for a while before helping her to her feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Herschel Warden has called for a stop in this fight at 4 minutes 31 seconds in the second round, for your winner by technical knockout, “Bam Bam Jigglow” Mike Hunt!

[The crowd cheers once again as Hunt has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

THE SUN

THE MOON

AND THE STARS

THEY COULD NEVER BE BIGGER

ANY BIGGER THAN YOU ARE

[As "Point of View" by Twelve Foot Ninja begins to play over the PA system, Dallas Meechan makes his way to the main stage in grand fashion. Donning his gray fight kit trimmed in blue, Meechan hypes himself up by beating his chest while the crowd grows with cheers. He begins to make his way down the aisleway, soaking in the energy in the arena, while several coaches from his camp follow closely behind.]

PATRICK CARSON

It’s time now for the Scottish slugger, Dallas Meechan. The Playboy delivered an impeccable debut win to earn his official bid in the Bantamweight Tournament, but tonight he faces the top seeded fighter, Zari Aliyah.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

You’re right, Meechan did look good in his debut fight, and yes you’re right, Zari is the biggest challenger in this bracket. One thing that benefits Dallas is that there isn’t a lot of tape on the guy, so we don’t really know what to expect from him. He’s been training at ScrapYard MMA in Ireland with the likes of Delaney Donovan and our colleague, the iconic Carrick Price, so I can only assume that he’s come prepared to go to war here tonight.

[Meechan finally makes it to cageside, where he undresses down to his tights before getting inspected by the fight official. Once he's been cleared, Meechan races up the steps and throws his arms out like an explosion upon entering the cage. He jogs over to his corner, shadow boxing along the way and playing up to the crowd.]

TOAST, YEAH

SAY WE A COME IN WID A FORCE (YEAH)

BLESSINGS WE A REAP PON WE COURSE INA HAND FULL

[As “Toast” by Koffee plays throughout the arena, Zari Aliyah slowly makes her way out while shadow boxing with her corner crew following close behind. Aliyah doesn’t show much emotion as she continues her walk, but occasionally tags a few stretched out hands from the crowd.]

PATRICK CARSON

And now, the dual citizen, the dual fighter, Zari Aliyah. The Real Killas prospect has been on a tear as of late not just here in Union Grand Prix, but all across the combat sports landscape. Tonight is her first step towards the shot at becoming the first Bantamweight Champion, and by the looks of it, she’s focused on the task at hand.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Similar to her camp-mate Hanako Takeuchi, Zari has branched out in other MMA companies, and even stepped into the world of professional wrestling. Some wonder if she is stretching herself too thin, but like you said Pat, judging by the looks of her, she’s ready to throw down!

[Zari makes it to cageside and gets checked by the bout official. Once cleared, she races up the steps and heads straight to her corner, bobbing and weaving along the way. When Aliyah enters the cage the arena is about to explode! She knows for sure that the fans are with her tonight.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the Co-Main Event of the evening! The following bout is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Bantamweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Muay Thai Kickboxer with a professional mixed martial arts record of 1-0. He stands at 5’10” and weighing in at 135 pounds. He is from Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland, fighting out of The ScrapYard MMA, he is “Playboy” Dallas Meechan!

[Dallas Meechan is calm in his corner as he sways back and forth on the balls of his feet. He looks confident in his abilities here tonight.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Muay Thai Kickboxer with a professional mixed martial arts record of 4-1. She stands 5’7” and weighing in at 130 pounds. She is from Swetes, Antigue and Barbuda, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, she is “Zealous” Zari Aliyah!

[Zari Aliyah glares at her opponent from the opposite corner as the crowd roars with cheers.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

And now we are all squared away for this Co-Main Event bout. Zari is coming in as the heavy favorite in the betting lines, and now she needs to go out there and prove it. Two Muay Thai strikers ready to leave it all out there, this is what it’s all about!

PATRICK CARSON

No doubt the fans here are going absolutely crazy right now. The referee of the Co-Main Event bout is Dusty Whittaker. He checks off with each fighter one last time and calls for the bell!

RG_round1.png

[The bell announces the first round and the two bantamweight fighters look to engage quickly. Zari Aliyah tries a middle kick but Meechan blocks and steps away. Stepping right back in, Meechan fires a quick hook that glances off Aliyah's arms. Half a second later Meechan rocks Aliyah with a wicked punch, and soon follows up with a crisp uppercut and then a hard jab but Aliyah deflects the blows. Zari jumps over her opponent and tries to grapple but Meechan sees what’s coming and ducks under his opponent and moves aside. The two circle the center of the cage as the action dies down for a moment as the two fighters take a moment to catch their breath after the early exchanges.]

PATRICK CARSON

Right out of the gate these two fighters are putting on a clinic with the striking game.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

We knew this was going to be a great match-up on paper, and these competitors are erasing any doubts early.

[In a flash the momentary pause in action is broken by an Incredible high kick from Dallas Meechan, but Aliyah deflects and side steps. The two exchange wildly, missing terribly before circling for a moment again. When they engage again another wild exchange follows, this time with Aliyah connecting with a few punches. Meechan counters and launches a solid middle kick that wrenches Aliyah! It’s followed up with a furious low kick that Zari Aliyah blocks. She responds with a solid kick to the leg of her own that visibly pains Meechan. He responds, however, with a good front kick that causes Zari to stumble backward. Dallas Meechan launches another low kick but this one gets blocked quickly. Meechan then fakes a punch and launches himself over Zari Aliyah. It’s a great move by Meechan who pushes his opponent under a troublesome thai clinch.]

PATRICK CARSON

A lot of back and forth here with some kicks to open things up, and now Meechan looks to control the tempo with the clinch.

[Zari smartly  tries to shrug her way out of the clinch but Meechan is determined to work from it. He pummels through and manages to retain his position. Aliyah launches a knee! Zari Aliyah hits Meechan's hard just below the ribs! Dallas Meechan suddenly is the one who wants nothing to do with the clinch and tries to shrug his way out. But now Aliyah is determined to work from the clinch now and she pummels through and manages to retain her position. Thinking quickly, Meechan tries to take Zari Aliyah to the ground from the clinch but Zari shows her sprawl skills and remains on her feet. The referee intervenes to break the clinch and the fighters size each other up in the center of the cage.]

PATRICK CARSON

This has looked very competitive and very even so far. Neither one has been able to take a commanding lead on points.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

They started off fast, but now I think they're trying to figure out each other's timing and range.

[Meechan avoids a dangerous strike from Aliyah and counters with a solid straight! Meechan just won't stop and continues to rain punches. Aliyah may be in trouble! Here comes Dallas Meechan with a vicious middle kick but Zari on instinct alone dodges it and moves backwards. Shifting her weight, Zari Aliyah leans forward and tries to grapple with Meechan, but he wants to maintain the distance and ducks under. Meechan tries to get some advantage after his opponent put herself out of position. Meechan fakes a move and launches a liver kick but Aliyah blocks and pushes her opponent. Crisp uppercut by Meechan followed by a hard jab but Aliyah deflects the blows. Those punches only serve as a distraction, however, as Meechan quickly fires low kicks punishing Aliyah's legs repeatedly.]

[Zari Aliyah moves forward looking for some grappling action and Aliyah has her opponent in a text book double collar thai clinch! Meechan and Zari Aliyah are cliched up against the cage. Dallas steps for a throw but Aliyah stays on her feet and tries to counter now! Zari Aliyah fakes a few punches and tries a quick knee. Meechan got hit in the abdomen, and clutches his stomach in pain just as the buzzer sounds, marking the end of the round.]

PATRICK CARSON

Zari Aliyah strung together some solid offense there at the end of the round, but I think this one goes to Meechan.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I agree with you there, Patrick. But it wasn't a landslide and Zari still looks to be in great shape out there. Let's see how she responds here in the second.

RG_round2.png

[The  second round opens up and Dallas moves swiftly to the center of the cage where he fakes a move and launches a nice uppercut that lands on Aliyah's chin. Meechan grabs his opponent by the waist and tries to take the fight to the ground. Zari struggles and Dallas is unable to take her down. The two break and a right hand from Dallas Meechan makes Aliyah stumble back! She responds by faking a punch and shows some footwork moving aside. She then fakes another move and launches a nice uppercut that catches Meechan flush but isn’t able to capitalize and instead takes a step back, studying Dallas and looking for a hole in his defense.]

PATRICK CARSON

Zari coming on strong to open the second round. I think she's starting to find a rhythm to keep Meechan honest.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I'm impressed by how well Meechan has done in this fight so far. He hasn't shown any nerves or fear going against a top contender like Aliyah, but he needs to play it smart and not get too cocky.

[Aliyah launches a hook to the body and Meechan moves aside looking for a counter. Lightning fast low kick from Meechan that connects with a loud pop! I'm sure that hurts! And they’re back to exchanging kicks. Solid kick to the leg from Zari Aliyah that visibly pains Meechan. Aliyah launches another solid middle kick that wrenches Meechan! Meechan fires back, going to the body. He punishes Aliyah's ribs with a couple of hooks. Aliyah answers with a looping right hand. That one hits but Meechan seems unaffected, countering with a few punches of his own. Great exchange here.]

PATRICK CARSON

This is what high level Muay Thai looks, ladies and gentlemen.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

What you're all seeing is textbook technique from both fighters. This is still anyone's fight right now.

[Meechan moves forward looking for some action and he surprises Aliyah with double overhooks! Zari Aliyah and Meechan engage in a wild exchange of punches! Both fighters are connecting and this could be ending soon if either lands a lucky punch. But both fighters are now missing terribly. Meechan throws a looping left hand and finally one lands, halting Zari’s progression in its tracks.  Meechan looks for angles as he throws a few jabs that are countered by Zari Aliyah's punches. Aliyah is on the receiving end of a great combo by Meechan. Meechan launches a hook to the body and bang! Aliyah stops that one with her ribs! It’s followed up on with a brutal-looking high kick from Dallas Meechan! You could hear the impact from the back seats and Aliyah's right eye is beginning to swell and a small laceration begins to trickle blood from underneath her eye as well.]

PATRICK CARSON

Big kick from Dallas Meechan and Zari Aliyah is opened up!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Looks like it's below her eye so it shouldn't affect her vision too much.

[Aliyah launches a furious low kick in response but Dallas Meechan blocks. Meechan jumps in the air and tries a flying knee! Aliyah blocks with her arms and moves laterally looking for a counter. I'M LOOKING FOR THE FIGHT, FROM THE START TO END,

I'M LOOKING THROUGH THE LIGHT THROUGH THE GOOD AND MY SINS.

I KNOW I HAVE TO WIN TO BE PRINCE TO A KING

["Young King" by K Huncho blares over the loudspeaker and Lake Reese emerges to the main stage wearing his gray walkout fight kit trimmed in blue with his 9th World crew following behind. Reese looks calm yet focused, making no stops for showboating and continues to make his way down to the cage.]

PATRICK CARSON

And now the 9th World product Lake Reese makes his way to the octagon. He comes in tonight unbeaten in two fights, finishing one off with a submission and one off by TKO. In those fights, he has shown to be very versatile and able to not only hold his own, but thrive in all phases of the fight game.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Don’t let his stature fool you, this guy has some serious power in his strikes, and he will use his long limbs to pressure his opponent into making mistakes to setup submissions. This is no doubt the biggest test he has faced to date, and if he can continue to build on what’s already been laid out, this guy will be a star in no time.

[Reese makes it to cageside and he strips down to his fight gear and hands off his warmups to the nearest coach. He steps forward to get checked out by the fight official to ensure he’s fit to fight. Once he’s been cleared, Reese crawls up the steps and into the cage, where he then jogs a few laps around before stationing in his corner.]

CAN’T YOU SEE I’M EASILY BOTHERED BY PERSISTENCE

ONE STEP FROM LASHING OUT AT YOU

YOU WANT IN TO GET UNDER MY SKIN

AND CALL YOURSELF A FRIEND

I’VE GOT MORE FRIENDS LIKE YOU

WHAT DO I DO?

[“Walk” by Pantera shreds over the loudspeaker and “The Reaver” Jakko Wirman emerges to the stage wearing his blue and black walkout fight kit with crew members from his camp following behind. Wirman has a focused stare in his eyes as he begins to make his way down the aisle.]

PATRICK CARSON

And the final walkout of the night goes to the Real Killas product, the Finnish phenom Jakko Wirman. Wirman comes in tonight off of an impressive rebound victory over Chris Santiago at Boss Fight X, and right now he passes the ocular test of fitness.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

The dude is a straight up monster, someone who could easily be competing in the Heavyweight Division. As you mentioned, his last fight was a resounding victory after suffering two consecutive losses. Jakko has had some ups and downs, but he’s always in the fight to the end, and getting better each and every time. I’m anxious to see how much he’s improved since the short company layoff.

[Wirman makes it to cageside where he is inspected by the fight official to ensure he is fit to fight and legal for action. Once cleared, he climbs up the steps and calmly takes his place in his corner.]

PATRICK CARSON

This is the first time these two meet inside the cage and we’re sure to see some sparks fly. The referee for this main event bout is Willie Green. He checks off with each man one last time and then calls for the bell. And here we go!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I'm totally giving this round to Wirman right now...but Reese can turn things around right now.

PATRICK CARSON

I don't know. Jakko looks like the better fighter out there and Lake hasn't gotten anything going yet.

[These two fighters are showing each other a ton of respect. Lake Reese tries a hook to the body and hits Wirman's ribs hard.Wirman throws a low kick. And this one is all over! Big win for Jakko Wirman here tonight!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Crazy that these last three main events we've had has ended like this. Really wanted to see a slobber knocker in this one.

PATRICK CARSON

Can't help the seasoned Jakko came in very prepared tonight. Guess it's back to the drawing board for Lake.

No doubt the rook will bounce back. I'm excited to see Jakko Wirman going forward though.
