[The opening montage comes to a close and the feed transitions inside the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Over 16,000 fans pack the building, where many have immersed themselves into the pandemonium and roar out with deafening cheers. With the uncertainty of victory or defeat looming, the aura is both intoxicating and tense.]

[The main stage, where the fighters scheduled tonight dawn their presence, is littered with carnage and destruction. A heavy fog sits stale, scaffolding strung in multiple directions, and the overall structure glowing red with fire, ash, and embers; something no fighter will soon forget.]

[The toll on both fan and fighter is enormous. The stage of a bloody war is set. The conquerors envision nothing but execution towards success, while the meek is flooded with doubt. Down in the trenches, we see a brand new crew on the sticks, Bodie Sullivan and Union GP fighter Zamara Ali standing cageside in attention to officially kick off the night.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Welcome to Boss Fight XIX live exclusively on the Battleground Network here in the Chesapeake Energy Arena, in OKC! I'm Bodie Sullivan and I'll be joined here tonight by Zamara Ali while Kennard Rozier defends his championship belt tonight.

ZAMARA ALI

What's up Bodie? It's nice to be sitting here ringside for these fights tonight. We've got a good line up and I'm expecting some close fights tonight.

BODIE SULLIVAN

That we most definitely do. We start the night off with Dang Tay taking on Kelsi Morrow. This is a good contest to get things rolling here on the main card.

ZAMARA ALI

I love this matchup. Tay brings a lot of excitement to the cage. He can be super dope when it comes to his kicks. He's coming off some losses though and tonight he's got a tough opponent across from him in Kelsi Morrow. The Throne fighter is stout in everything she does. I think she fights at her best when she's counter striking. We'll see whose able to get the advantage though. Will it be Tay with his unpredictability or the counter striking of Kelsi?

BODIE SULLIVAN

Then after that we have Nigel Musgrove taking on the returning Travis Decker. I was a bit lost when I heard Nigel signed on for the fight but hearing that Travis called for this fight Nigel didn't back down from the challenge.

ZAMARA ALI

With his most recent win over Brendan Mccarthy Nigel looks to be in good form right now. He already has that win over Travis so in the back of his mind he knows he can do it again. Travis on the other hand wants to show up and prove that he belongs in Union competing with the best in the world. I'm ready to see how he looks tonight and if he can even the series with Nigel.

BODIE SULLIVAN

In another Middleweight fight Randall Wade takes on Brendan Mccarthy in our next contest on the card.

ZAMARA ALI

This fight intrigues me a lot because here you have two guys that's been up and down. Randall has performed good in his last two fights while Brendan is coming off that lost to Nigel Musgrove. If Randall can win tonight and make it three in a row he could be looking at a contender fight. Brendan on the other hand could put his name back out there in the mix with a win over Randall.

BODIE SULLIVAN

After that we move on to the Co Main Event where Byron McCall looks to get back in the winning column against Erick Costa.

ZAMARA ALI

Last time out Byron McCall was on the receiving end of some vicious knees from Natalie King. One of the best fighters in the Lightweight Division. Tonight he faces a guy on the rise in Erick Costa who bolsters tremendous power behind his strikes. A win over Byron would be huge for him. He can't try and do too much though or Byron will expose him. This is a interesting fight to say the least.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Then to cap off the night here in OKC. The undefeated Kennard Rozier defends the Heavyweight title against Joey Barnes.

ZAMARA ALI

The bombs are gonna be coming heavy in this fight and I can guarantee that. It's like you have strength versus athleticism and you don't know whose gonna get that upper hand. Joey has never been in a fight of this caliber and that could possibly get to him. I'm sure both men are gonna be nervous. The champion though just not as much. This will be his fourth title fight so he knows what it's like out there. I'm telling you this fight has special written all over it.

BODIE SULLIVAN

I'm ready for this action. It's another Union Sunday and it's one of the best days on the planet.

ZAMARA ALI

Right Bodie. We should hashtag Union Sunday. That has a little ring to it.

BODIE SULLIVAN

And when we get back the bell will be ringing for our first matchup of the night as Dang Tay and Kelsi Morrow face off.

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, we are live exclusively on the Battleground Network here at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for Boss Fight XIX! And now, this opening contest is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Bantamweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Savate Striker holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 7-1. She stands 5’7”, and weighing in at 135 pounds. She is from Sacramento, California, fighting out of Throne MMA, she is Kelsi “Gold Star” Morrow!

[Kelsi Morrow looks like he has been waiting for this fight forever.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Kicking off the main card we have Kelsi Morrow who’s coming off a big win against my broadcast partner tonight right here in her return to Union GP. In her first stint, Morrow had a solid streak accumulated, winning her first three fights. But then she ran into the TRT, juiced to the gills, Misty DeMeans and suffered her first loss. After that fight and the subsequent hiatus that Union GP went on, Kelsi moved to Elite FC, where she went 2-0. Now she’s back and looking to continue to pile on the W’s and get that shot at the Bantamweight Title.

ZAMARA ALI

Listen, Kelsi is a pro's pro. She has really been someone we look up to at Throne and I honestly do love her. She brings so much talent to the cage. Kelsi can more than likely do anything out there. Very dangerous and like you said… if it wasn't for the roided up Shitty Demeans Kelsi would be an undefeated fighter and that's hard to do for a while. Anytime anyone steps in the cage with Kelsi you have to respect her game. She's a pillar with her studying.

MIKE DEMPSEY

And her opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Muay Thai Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 2-3. He stands 5’8”, and weighing in at 135 pounds. He is from Phuket, Thailand, fighting out of The Legion MMA, he is “Red Death” Dang Tay!

[Dang Tay looks very relaxed.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Dang Tay had a lot of potential and hype when he first entered the pro circuit of MMA, but has been very spotty lately. Winning his first two fights in Union GP by first round KO’s, he then ventured over to G2 in Japan, where he suffered his first loss. He came back to Union and lost to Lena Lyons, and has been in this state of limbo, trying to get back into the upper echelon of the division. A win here for Tay would certainly catapult him back into serious contention, but he’s got to be on his A-game in order to do that.

ZAMARA ALI

That's the thing about this sport….hype is something that's hard to maintain. Just like confidence. Maybe those losses have made him lose that confidence but being a fighter myself...I hope that's not the case. The task in front him tonight won't be an easy one for anybody… but if he wants to get some of the hype back he can most definitely do it with a win over Kelsi.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Alright ladies and gentlemen, we are all set for this opening bout between two lightning fast strikers. Our referee for this contest is Willie Green and he’s calling for the bell! And here we go!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[We begin the first round with both fighters circling around the center of the cage. Tay sees an opening and shoots for the clinch right off the bat. This is a position Morrow doesn’t want to be in as she tries to shrug her way out of it; but Dang Tay is determined to retain his position. From the clinch Tay jumps forward and lands hard on Morrow’s face with a knee that sends Kelsi Morrow to the mat!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Big knee from Dang Tay inside the clinch and Kelsi Morrow just got rocked!

ZAMARA ALI

Is she good? Already???

[Morrow scrambles on the ground as she looks to get back up quickly, and Tay moves closer to her. She throws some hooks that land hard on Tay! Red Death tries for a low kick that gets checked by Morrow; he then goes for a stiff jab, but Morrow ducks underneath the jab and counters with an uppercut that makes Tay move backwards.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Great recovery from Kelsi Morrow after getting dropped with the knee.

ZAMARA ALI

That was a huge knee too. To recover that quickly is amazing.

[Dang Tay moves back in with some tentative punches, that are countered by some jabs from Morrow; that are quickly answered with a stiff cross from Tay! Great exchange from both fighters!]

ZAMARA ALI

They are trading the shots. Somebody could go down.

[Kelsi Morrow throws a great 1-2 combo towards Tay and it forces the Thailand native to defend. Both fighters are circling around the center of the cage; looking to recover some breath. Morrow throws a kick to the side, but gets caught and Tay is now looking to take her down. In the struggle, Morrow loses her balance and falls to the ground.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Interesting tactic for Tay to take this to the mat. Let’s see how well or how long these two stay on the ground.

ZAMARA ALI

Tay’s corner was yelling for the takedown when he got caught with the uppercut. Kelsi is good on the ground though. This could be a mistake.

[Dang Tay is in side mount over Kelsi Morrow; he takes some moments to breathe. The clock says 3:00 in the 1st round. Kelsi Morrow attempts to trap Tay in her guard; she’s quick with it and catches Tay out of position and manages to switch to full guard.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Kelsi Morrow is showing great control on the ground.

ZAMARA ALI

It's going to be tough to find those nice shots against Kelsi on the ground. She does a good job of defending. I think Tay is winning this round though and could be just cooling it down a bit.

[Tay is in open guard over Morrow but seems to be breathing heavily, so he doesn’t do much. He struggles and manages to get into half guard once more. He’s trying to free his leg; and manages to do so moving quickly to side mount! Morrow attempts to trap Tay in her guard once more and manages to switch back into half guard.]

ZAMARA ALI

I wouldn't be surprised if they get stood up if this continues.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Willie Green will typically let the fight go as long as there is some action. But if this back and forth position change continues, I agree Zamara, Willie Green could go stand them up.

[Both fighters are struggling on the ground, trying to improve their position as the clock hits 4:05 of the 1st round. Morrow uses some of the moments she has to breathe. Willie Green has seen enough and stands the fighters up due to a lack of activity.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Sixty seconds left in the opening round and Willie Green stands them back up.

ZAMARA ALI

Kelsi can still win this round with the time that's left. Dang should try and get her back in the clinch.

[Dang Tay launches some solid jabs at Morrow and pushes her away looking to recover his breath. Tay and Morrow study each other looking for a hole in their defense. The clock says 4:55 of the 1st round and Morrow lands a crisp uppercut followed by a hard jab that makes Tay fall to the mat as the referee stands between the fighters to end the round.]

ZAMARA ALI

Ewwww!!! That's gonna make this round even closer. I think Tay edges it though on the sole purpose of that takedown.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Close round for the most part, a bit of a feeling out round, but for me I think Kelsi’s push at the end there might give her the edge. Let’s see how these two adjust for round two.

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[We begin the second round with Tay feeling a sense of urgency as he fires a low kick that gets checked by Morrow. Morrow then counters with a beautiful high kick that makes Tay stumble to the side! As Tay tries to find some balance Morrow fires a looping overhand; just as Tay tries a straight right. Red Death seems to be staggered and Morrow sees her opportunity as she capitalizes with a bunch of jabs, crosses and hooks that puts Tay against the cage.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And Kelsi Morrow comes firing out of the gate to start the second!

ZAMARA ALI

Let's go Kelsi!!!

[Dang Tay finally managed to move to the side and is working wonders with his feet avoiding engagement with Morrow who’s on fire right now. Morrow points at her opponent and asks him if he came to dance or to fight and the crowd went wild for that!]

ZAMARA ALI

That's right. Take the fight to him this round. If Kelsi can take control of the pace she could wear Tay down. He put a lot into that first round.

[Tay has finally shaken off the initial barrage from Morrow as he gets close to her and lands a thunderous low kick; but Morrow doesn’t even flinch as she launches a crane kick that gets barely dodged by Dang Tay. But as he was getting back up, Morrow used the motion to land a beautiful roundhouse left kick! That stunned Red Death!]

ZAMARA ALI

Ouch!! Another one of those and Tay is gonna be drooling in the cage.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Dang Tay looks stunned here and could be in some serious trouble!

[Both fighters size each other up and it’s Tay who launches himself to grapple. Morrow tries to maintain her distance and moves out of the way. She uses her new angle to launch a beautiful hook that stuns Tay again! Morrow is now looking to grapple with Tay, trying to bring the fight to the ground on her terms. Dang Tay struggles but manages to fend off Morrow for the time being.]

ZAMARA ALI

This round is being dominated by Kelsi. I wonder if that first round has really taken a lot out of Tay. He was gassed when the round was over. So far right now he hasn't looked the same.

BODIE SULLIVAN

It’s been all Kelsi Morrow this round. She’s setting the pace and teeing off on Tay and he doesn’t seem to have any answers for it.

[The clock says 2:15 of the 2nd round and Morrow keeps looking for angles as she throws a few hooks and jabs that are countered by Dang Tay’s punches. Great combo from Tay that ends with a crushing blow to Morrow’s body and she seems to be hurt by that one!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

We’re seeing some signs of life now out of Dang Tay with some incredible combinations.

ZAMARA ALI

That's very pretty I must say.

[The tide seems to be turning as it is now Tay who’s on the offensive as he keeps the pressure with solid punches to both the head and the body of Morrow, who tries to counter with jabs and hooks that are answered by a furious left hand cross from Tay! Great exchange from both fighters who are now back in the center of the cage looking for a new opening.]

ZAMARA ALI

Tay has woken up. He's all over Kelsi right now.

[Red Death moves back in and tries for a hook to the body, but Morrow’s too quick and blocks it. Morrow capitalizes throwing a hook to the body followed by an uppercut that gets blocked by Tay! That block was all Dang Tay needed to grab Morrow and put her in a thai clinch!]

ZAMARA ALI

He could be devastating in this position. We saw what happened as soon as the bell rung man. Kelsi move.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Tay is certainly looking to utilize his strengths here. Morrow needs to slip out of the clinch and keep her range.

[Tay clinches Morrow against the cage and lands a solid knee to Morrow’s face! Then another one to Morrow’s abdomen! She’s holding her stomach in pain right now; but garners some strength and tries to push Tay away from her. Dang Tay’s hold on Morrow is too strong as he grapples with Morrow trying to keep the clinch on. Morrow continues to push and struggle looking to get away from Tay and she finally does! Great job by Morrow of getting out of that position!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Kelsi Morrow finally slips free, but it looks like Dang Tay has done a significant amount of damage.

ZAMARA ALI

Red Death's corner has to like what they've seen from him in the clinch.

[But the motion was too much for Morrow who gets hit clean by a straight punch to the body that landed hard on Morrow’s ribs. Dang Tay moves in, closing the distance between himself and his opponent and throws a low kick that hits Kelsi’s ankle. While her attention is on her ankle, Tay landed a solid uppercut followed by a spinning back kick that landed really hard on Morrow’s ribs!]

ZAMARA ALI

What a turn of events. Tay has zapped the energy from Kelsi and has come back to win this round if you ask me.

BODIE SULLIVAN

He’s definitely woke up and started unloading. Kelsi needs to reset and gets her wits together to survive this round.

[Kelsi Morrow stumbles against the cage from the pain as the clock hits 4:30 of the 2nd round. Tay moves forward and grabs Morrow with a double overhook! Tay is once again in control of the clinch and glances Morrow’s abdomen with a knee to the body! Kelsi doesn’t want any part of the clinch as she tries to push Tay away looking to keep the fight at a striking distance. Morrow struggles, but Tay continues landing knees to her body, one, two, three… the knees keep coming!]

ZAMARA ALI

Willie's going to stop it...

[Morrow seems to be in trouble as a devastating knee hits her right on the chin! The pop from that one was heard around the whole arena and the crowd erupts! Kelsi Morrow’s chin has been cut wide open! Both fighters keep struggling until the buzzer sounds and Willie Green steps in to stop the fight!]

ZAMARA ALI

Tay’s resilience that round was incredible. Kelsi was smothering him but that one counter punch to the body changed this round. From there Tay dominated and for a minute I thought it was over. Kelsi's gonna have to go all out for the win… but can she after all those licks she took this round?

BODIE SULLIVAN

What started off as total domination from Kelsi Morrow quickly turned the tide into Dang Tay’s favor. You have to give this round to Tay. Scorecards could be razor thin at this point. Best way to guarantee that victory? Finish the fight! Morrow has to keep that distance and pick Tay apart, while Tay needs to suffocate Morrow with the clinch. And here we go with the final round!

=========================================

ROUND THREE

=========================================

[We begin the third round where we left the second one as Dang Tay launches himself over Morrow and puts her right back into a thai clinch! After the first round onslaught, Dang Tay has managed to turn this fight around with some heavy clinches, as he now lands hard punches to Kelsi Morrow’s ribs! She winces as Tay continues working the ribs! Kelsi Morrow looks to be in a bad position here as she tries to shrug out of there!]

ZAMARA ALI

I don't think she can last much longer in Tay’s clinch.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Those shots to the body are really taking a toll on her. She’s gotta protect herself or this one won’t see the final bell.

[Dang Tay tries an outer leg sweep and he pulls it off throwing Morrow back on the mat and is now in side mount over Kelsi Morrow. Tay tries and successfully moves into full mount! Tay tries to keep his position, as Morrow struggles to shove him off. Tay keeps control, he’s looking for some ground and pound! Morrow tries to roll to her side, looking to get into half guard; but Tay keeps control and rolls Morrow to her stomach and takes her back!]

ZAMARA ALI

Bad position for Kelsi.

BODIE SULLIVAN

We all expected this to be a standup fight, but I’m very impressed by Dang Tay’s ground game in this fight. We haven’t seen it from him, but he’s definitely surprising us all here tonight.

[Tay throws a few punches from the back, but they have little effect as Morrow manages to defend well against them. He then tries for a hook; and Morrow doesn’t seem able to defend against it. Morrow struggles as Tay manages to get both hooks in and the end may be close for Morrow here! Kelsi Morrow tries to defend herself but Tay moves to sink a rear naked choke and finish the fight! Morrow defends, but she seems to be resting herself a bit here. The clock says 2:00 of the 3rd round. Morrow’s rest seemed to have backfired as Tay is ready to clutch in the rear naked choke!]

ZAMARA ALI

Tay’s been all over her and the end could be near.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Morrow needs to get Tay off her back.

[Morrow struggles and tries to use her skills to escape from this position! At least she manages to get Tay’s hands away and now he has to work back into the position he was. Dang Tay throws a couple of weak punches, that aimed at softening Morrow’s defenses and they succeeded in that as he managed to get his hands close once again.]

[Dang Tay is close, but not close enough to the choke; so he decides to better his position launching a couple of elbows against Morrow’s hammered ribs! Morrow’s face shows the pain that causes; yet she keeps fighting, looking to fend off her opponent. She can’t move from this position due to Tray’s skills, but she keeps him busy, not able to land the choke hold.]

ZAMARA ALI

Good defense from Kelsi but she must look for something right now. She's down 3 rounds.

[Tay keeps moving on the ground, looking for the rear naked choke! Morrow doesn’t allow him the space to do so and… Dang Tay headbutts Morrow on the back of the head! Willie Green saw that! The referee halts the fight allowing Morrow time to recover!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Oooh! Nasty headbutt here from Tay. Referee Willie Green stops the fight here to give Kelsi Morrow time to recover.

ZAMARA ALI

I'm pretty sure that wasn't intentional.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Doesn’t appear so as Green is just giving Tay a warning.

[Morrow takes a couple of deep breaths as Willie Green approaches her asking if she can continue the fight! She says yes and the fight resumes on the feet! Tay initiates movement for a low kick… but he switches targets and lands a sidekick to Morrow’s ribs! Morrow drops to the mat and before Tay can rush in, Willie Green pulls Tay away and waves Morrow off! She seems confused by the decision, but her ribs don’t look good as she crumbles right after Green grabbed her!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And this one is all over! Willie Green waves off the fight! Kelsi Morrow wasn’t defending herself sufficiently and was enough to stop this one late in the final round.

ZAMARA ALI

What a win for Dang Tay. He really just bounced back in a big way. I feel bad for my teammate right now. Tay really went to work and got it done. Very good performance.

[The crowd explodes into cheers and Dang Tay is swarmed by his corner crew in celebration. Doctors tend to Morrow for a while before finally helping her back to her feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work on both fighters, they meet back in the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Willie Green has called for a stop in this fight at four minutes twenty-three seconds in the third and final round, for your winner by technical knockout, “Red Death” Dang Tay!

[The crowd cheers once again as Tay has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

[The camera cuts to earlier in the day, showing Savannah Skye sitting down with newly returned middleweight fighter Travis Decker.]

SAVANNAH SKYE

First off Travis welcome back, you’ve taken some time off since your last fight but its good to see you back in action on Boss Fight XIX.

[Travis smiles and gives a nod, the man as well spoken as he has always been.]

TRAVIS DECKER

Thank you Savannah, but I have a slight correction to make. While I may have withdrawn from the active roster of fighters for a little while, I was far from taking some time off. My last fight against Nigel Musgrove was an eye opener for me. He is an incredible fighter and earned that win completely, but it showed me that the path I was on as a fighter was not working. It played to a strength but went against my instincts, and while it only put me off ever so slightly in each fight, in an ultra competitive division like our middleweight division is, its a death sentence. I knew I needed to step back, break it down, and rebuild, and to do that I needed time. I was not where I wanted to be but now I feel like I am.

SAVANNAH SKYE

Of course, I didn’t mean to suggest you were having a holiday, I know that isn’t your style. Speaking of your last fight, your first fight back is against that very same man. Are you happy to have this as your first fight back?

TRAVIS DECKER

Of course I am. I requested it. Yes there is the logistical reason of wanting to get my win back, especially considering he is currently ranked #5 in the division, but it's more than that. Nigel was the last man who beat me as I was before, if I wanted to prove that what I am now is better, then there was no one better than him. Also he is just a great guy and our fight was fun so why wouldn’t I wanna run it back?

However, there is something else I want to address. I have heard people question Nigel’s decision to take this fight, questioning why it’s happening as if doubting its legitimacy. Sure, if all you look at are results and stats and numbers this fight probably doesn’t make sense to you, but this business, this sport, is about far more than that. We are modern gladiators, we compete for money, for glory, and for respect. Nigel had the respect to offer me a chance to run it back sometime down the line, and I had the respect to want to test myself against him on my return. If him and his team had turned it down I would have completely understood, but they didn’t. And because they didn’t, everyone is once again going to get a great fight. So instead of focusing on the fact that “it shouldn’t be happening,” I suggest focusing on what it can be. What it WILL be.

SAVANNAH SKYE

Spoken like a man who knows what he’s about, i’d expect nothing less from you Travis. Now for my final question, and it’s a predictable one: What do you think your chances are in this fight? Since you requested it I assume you have a plan in mind for this going another way?

[Travis lets out a laugh before he sits forward.]

TRAVIS DECKER

Yeah, that’s the idea. Like I said, I stripped my style back completely. You all are seeing a new Travis Decker, one that no one has seen fight before. So while my preparation can still be on point, everything Nigel thought he knew about me as a fighter he has to throw it in the bin, because he has no idea what he is stepping into the cage with. I respect the hell out of Nigel as I have said about 20 times, but make no mistake. I didn’t completely rebuild myself as a fighter or decide to make my return now just to lose.

SAVANNAH SKYE

Of that I have no doubt. In any case I look forward to watching your fight, and good luck!

TRAVIS DECKER

Thank you Savannah.

[With that the camera cuts away.]

BF19_Musgrove-vs-Decker.png

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Middleweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 4-6. He stands 6’2”, and weighing in at 185 pounds. He is from Chicago, Illinois, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, he is “Ripcord” Travis Decker!

[Travis Decker looks like he has been waiting for this fight forever as he stares daggers into his opponent across the octagon.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Tonight we see the return of Travis Decker in competition. Decker took some time off after suffering a unanimous decision loss to his opponent tonight, Nigel Musgrove, and taking the skid to three losses in a row. Decker was heard saying, during the lead up of this fight, that he wanted to take some time off and refocus on his training and get back to what he knows best. He specifically asked for this fight for his return and wanted to prove that he’s made the necessary adjustments to get back into the win column and start building back up towards title contention.

ZAMARA ALI

You would have to think Travis wants to prove a point after his haitus. He was always a good counter fighter but besides that his offense would stall and he wouldn't do much. I think that was the only thing he needed to work on. Finding constant offense and not being so much on the defensive. With him training at Real Killas I'm pretty sure he's been putting in that work to improve himself

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Grappler holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 2-0. He stands 5’11”, and weighing in at 185 pounds. He is from Birmingham, England, he is Nigel “The Magic Man” Musgrove!

[Nigel Musgrove is beating himself up in the corner before the fight begins, smacking himself in the face, body and legs to get ready for his scrap.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Nigel Musgrove is sitting with an unblemished record in his short tenure in Union Grand Prix and shows no signs of changing that fact. What’s been most impressive is the fact that he’s already beaten Travis Decker once, and has also defeated Brendan McCarthy by unanimous decisions. Those are two prominent fighters with a ton of potential to become top tier contenders, and Musgrove has bested them both! I know he was a bit confused as to why Decker felt the need to run it back so soon, but by taking this matchup, it shows that Musgrove just wants to fight. Doesn’t matter who or where, just tell him the location!

ZAMARA ALI

Nigel is clearly on the up, but we've seen fighters have those untouched records until they face someone with a high caliber of talent. Nigel's already proven that he can beat guys who are very talented. This is the second fight with Travis...and I think Nigel is confident that he can pull it off again and stay undefeated in his young carees r.

BODIE SULLIVAN

And now both fighters are set in their corners. Our referee for this Middleweight contest is Jordan Ripley and he’s quickly calling for the bell!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[The round begins and both fighters touch gloves as they circle around each other. Decker decides to launch some tentative punches that are answered by a couple of jabs from Musgrove. Decker counters with a stiff cross! Great opening exchange from both fighters here.]

ZAMARA ALI

Travis has always been a good counter fighter.

BODIE SULLIVAN

It’s something he’s wanted to get back to doing more during his time off. He felt like he drifted away from his striking and went more wrestling heavy and lost his way. Looking good so far here.

[Musgrove moves backwards as Decker pushes the pace and continues raining punches on him. Musgrove seems to be in trouble early. Ripcord spins around and lands a beautiful spinning back kick that lands hard on Musgrove’s ribs! Musgrove wrenches from the pain and Decker lands a solid head kick! Musgrove’s forehead is starting to bruise after that early onslaught from Travis Decker!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Boom! Nice head kick by Travis Decker!

ZAMARA ALI

It's good to see an aggressive Travis. He looks different out there.

[Travis Decker launches a high kick that lands! Ripcord continues the barrage of punches over the Magic Man as things keep getting worse and worse for the English man. From desperation, Musgrove tries a high kick that fails to hit the mark. Travis Decker rocks Musgrove with a wicked overhand punch that sends the English fighter backwards.]

ZAMARA ALI

This has been an early onslaught from Travis.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Decker slips the kick then counters with a big left hand.

[The clock says 2:10 of the 1st round; as Musgrove throws a body kick that gets blocked by Decker; but in the motion Musgrove tries for the clinch, but Decker avoids it. After an early onslaught, Decker backs away from his opponent, he might be looking to cool down a bit.]

ZAMARA ALI

Travis was controlling the pace. I don't know why he would let up.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Decker doesn’t want to get tangled up. Get some distance and reset yourself. Not a bad strategy.

[Now it is Musgrove who moves forward and puts Decker in a double overhook! Decker struggles to shrug his way out of the clinch, and finally manages to do so. Decker counters with a brilliant 1-2 combo that forces Musgrove to try and defend better.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Decker with a beautiful one-two combo coming right out of the clinch.

ZAMARA ALI

Travis had been on the money so far this round.

[The clock says 3:10 of the 1st round and it’s been all Travis Decker to this point. He looks for angles as he throws a few jabs at Musgrove, who throws some wild punches, looking to counter; but he’s on the receiving end of a great combo by Decker. Smelling blood, Decker throws a brutal looking crane kick at Musgrove and the impact of the kick almost sent the Magic Man to the magic kingdom!]

ZAMARA ALI

Jesus Christ...no way Nigel's still on his feet.. That crane kick was brutal.

BODIE SULLIVAN

It looks like Decker has been training with Guilliman with those kicks over at Real Killas!

[Travis Decker throws a looping right hand that lands on Musgrove’s chin and things are looking bleak for Musgrove. The man from the UK doesn’t look to be in the fight at all to this point. Musgrove tries a looping over hand, but Decker jumps back and jabs. Musgrove seems to be lost and Ripcord looks to capitalize with a bunch of jabs, crosses and uppercuts.]

ZAMARA ALI

Man a lot of guys would be down from these devastating blows from Travis. Give it up for Nigel right now he's still standing strong and in this fight.

BODIE SULLIVAN

We mentioned earlier about Musgrove’s wins over Decker and McCarthy. That grittiness is showing through right now, but he’s got to protect himself better or he won’t see the end of this fight.

[Nigel Musgrove tries to put a stop to the barrage from Decker with a low kick, but gets stopped by Ripcord who fights back with a question mark kick that hits right on Musgrove’s left cheek! The clock says 4:10 of the 1st round and the two fighters are engaged in a wild exchange of blows; but it is Decker who unquestionably lands the hardest. Decker hits Musgrove’s ribs hard with a hook to the body and continues the barrage with a roundhouse punch that hits Musgrove clean in the face, provoking a cut over Musgrove’s right eye!]

ZAMARA ALI

He's taking a beating. I don't even know if he can last another round if this happens.

[Decker pushes forward landing great body shots on Musgrove followed by a middle kick that clearly hurt Musgrove! The ref steps in and the round is over!]

ZAMARA ALI

Travis is on a fucking mission... excuse the language. He just went to town on Nigel.

BODIE SULLIVAN

No question this round goes to Decker. Might even be a 10-8 round in some people’s eyes. Travis Decker looks like a completely different fighter out there. He’s clearly gone away from the grappling and solely focusing on his striking, particularly the kicks, and it’s worked wonders. It’ll be interesting to see how Musgrove can calibrate his strategy here in the second.

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[The second round begins where it ended, as Musgrove throws a great right hook that Decker avoided and lands an incredible high kick. Musgrove’s corner seems worried as both fighters circle around each other. Decker spins around and tries for a spinning back kick that gets blocked by Musgrove.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Decker leads with a head kick and tries following it up with a spinning back kick. First one lands, but Musgrove blocks the second one.

ZAMARA ALI

That's what Nigel needs.

[Nigel Musgrove tries a Superman punch that Travis Decker managed to avoid and landed a counter uppercut; Musgrove’s right cheek is beginning to swell! Ripcord launches a kick that lands on Musgrove’s thigh and Musgrove winces in pain.]

ZAMARA ALI

These Kicks have been coming from everywhere.

[Limping, Musgrove looks for angles as he throws a few tentative punches that get countered by Decker. The Magic Man seems to be looking for an opening as he throws wild punches that get countered perfectly by Travis Decker. The combination ends with a swift leg kick from Decker that makes a loud pop upon connecting on Musgrove’s leg!]

ZAMARA ALI

Nigel can't get anything going. Travis has kept him at bay all night.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Travis Decker has been on point thus far, slipping any sort of strike thrown his way and countered with brutal shots from all angles. This is a completely different fighter out there than what we have seen in his last three fights.

[Musgrove is visibly in pain as he limps out of the way, as Decker continues pushing the pace as he fakes and throws a beautiful left hook that lands clean on Musgrove’s face. Decker is outboxing Musgrove all the way and doesn’t seem to be letting the pace slow down for a second.]

ZAMARA ALI

Medical staff is going to take a hard look at that leg. It looks bad Bodie.

BODIE SULLIVAN

There’s some visible swelling and redness from the leg. Hopefully it’s nothing serious like a muscle or ligament tear, but he’s clearly hurting out there.

[The clock says 2:30 of the 2nd round and it has been all Decker as he continues to punish Musgrove with a leg kick that makes Musgrove stumble backwards and grab his leg in pain! Again, going for the finish, Decker throws himself against Musgrove with a Superman punch of his own that lands on Musgrove’s chin! Nothing Musgrove has been doing has helped him in this fight and Decker is just moments away from a victory.]

ZAMARA ALI

Just brilliant. That's all. Travis has been just that.

[Great timing by Decker as he blasts Nigel Musgrove with a right hand cross and follows it up with a great hook that finally knocks Musgrove down to the mat. Decker stands as Musgrove is on his back; a smile from the more seasoned fighter as he throws a kick that lands on the same thigh that has been taking all the punishment to this point; and again; and again! Three straight kicks to Musgrove’s thigh and the man seems to be in real trouble here.]

ZAMARA ALI

The way that leg looks Nigel could be out for some months.

BODIE SULLIVAN

It’s not looking good. It’s bad. It’s real bad.

[The clock says 3:20 of the 2nd round and Decker motions for Musgrove to stand up. Nigel seems to be looking for something to keep his balance, but is back on his feet as Decker throws a side kick that knocks Musgrove backwards. A middle kick from Decker gets blocked with Musgrove’s arm! That didn’t sound good at all!]

ZAMARA ALI

I wouldn risk my arm with all the snap Travis has put on those Kicks.

BODIE SULLIVAN

He protected his body, but you can’t tell me his arm isn’t stinging right now.

[Decker continues punishing Musgrove, throwing a high kick! Musgrove stumbles grabbing his arm in the process, referee Jordan Ripley has seen enough and jumps between the fighters.]

ZAMARA ALI

About time. I would've been called this one. I don't think I've seen someone get this pummeled since Rob vs Asher one. Travis looks new and fresh. He's really improved and honestly...he looks like a problem.

BODIE SULLIVAN

No question. This stoppage was a matter of time. Jordan Ripley is a referee that will try to allow fighters every opportunity to continue, but at this point, no one was seeing any way of Musgrove improving his chances and Ripley decided to stop this one to prevent any further damage. Big rebound win for Travis Decker!

[The crowd explodes into cheers and Travis Decker is swarmed by his corner crew in celebration. Doctors tend to Nigel Musgrove for a while before helping him to his feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Jordan Ripley has called for a stop in this fight at four minutes three seconds in the second round, for your winner by technical knockout, “Ripcord” Travis Decker!

[The crowd cheers once again as Decker has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

[The 9th World gym is bubbling with cameras as things comes to fruition. Bullet Barrera has Hagen Lector up against the cage in the clinch before trainer Tilly Jean Wade steps in and breaks up the two. In a further distance Kennard Rozier sat with Dylan Carter observing the sparring of his Everest campmates. He's nodding his head in agreement  with something as Dylan begins the interview.]

DYLAN CARTER

We'll as you can see I'm here in Kansas city sitting with the Union Heavyweight Champion Kennard Rozier. Thanks for having me Pluggz.

[Still not paying much attention Kennard stares off at the continued sparring.]

KENNARD ROZIER

Fasho D. Anytime my girl.

DYLAN CARTER

You seem very interested in what's going on over there.

KENNARD ROZIER

Most definitely. With coach Ray going through some personal things I've stepped up and tried to do my best to help get the fam prepared. Along with Tilly and Haesus our cardio coach we've really been doing more and I think Tilly is one of the better trainers in the world.

[His eyes dart back to the action just for a moment.]

DYLAN CARTER

Last time we spoke you were coming off the heels of becoming the Heavyweight Champion. Now you're two defenses in making history in Union.

[The champion couldn't help but smile.]

KENNARD ROZIER

That's all I ever set out to do. I remember being doubted by these folk. They never thought I would become the champion. People were too stuck around the hype of Derrick Labell and Donnie at the time. They where like the big dogs in the division when I got here. Oh, Brock was legit too. But the hype was around them. I knew I would eventually become the champ and be the first to defend it twice. Now I'm looking forward to making it three.

[Asher Jrue makes a cameo, waving as he walks by.]

DYLAN CARTER

Correct, OKC, You versus Joey Barnes. How you feeling about it?

KENNARD ROZIER

I don't think I've ever been more excited for a fight honestly. Hold on…

[He tries to recollect if he just told a lie or if his statement was Mondo Facts.]

KENNARD ROZIER

Mondo...yeah, never been more excited. Why? Cos like I've been saying man the Heavyweight Division has the most talent in it than it ever has...and you're seeing us guys come up at a rocket pace. Joey's a contender now. L.A. is looking good right now. Tweeds looks impressive. Miklos...see what I'm saying...I'm the big homie though and I like what I'm seeing going forward.

[He pauses momentarily to look back at the sparring cage.]

KENNARD ROZIER

This is the first Heavyweight title fight without a Labell or Donnie in a while. The guards been changing. Joey though, that boy is a killer. I can't flex. No cap. He could knock my head off straight. I look to do the same thing though… and on top of that who can really touch me? I'll wait.

[He looks down at the Frank Mulller watch on his wrist before flashing it to the camera.]

KENNARD ROZIER

Imma major hitter in Union. I think I'm the best fighter in Union. Since I've been blessing that cage nobody has been more dominant than me. I hear the noise of people thinking their the greatest of all time but I'm shutting all that shit down. In OKC when I deliver yet another Knock Out for these folk I just make my case even stronger.

DYLAN CARTER

There's been talks of you possibly competing in the Openweight division. Any of the rumors true?

[Pluggz shakes his head.]

KENNARD ROZIER

Not right now. My sole purpose is to keep defending my strap right now and possibly have a champ versus champion fight. There is still more for me to do in my division. Down the line though, possibly. I could become the Openweight Champion no doubt.

DYLAN CARTER

Any last thing you wanna say to the viewers?

KENNARD ROZIER

Free my mom's.

[With that the cameras fade to Bellamy DeSilva signaling the belt around his waist as some of the other 9th World competitors hype him on.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Middleweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Wrestler holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 2-2. He stands 5’11””, and weighing in at 185 pounds. He is from Bangor, Northern Ireland, fighting out of The ScrapYard MMA, he is Brendan “The Hammer” McCarthy!

[Brendan McCarthy doesn't look concerned about anything his opponent brings to the table as he rolls his neck back and forth with a slightly disturbing grin.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Brendan McCarthy has been up and down thus far in his Union GP tenure. Sitting .500 and going back and forth on wins and losses, it’s important to note his losses come at the hands of the future hall of famer Byron McCall and Nigel Musgrove. His last win was against the very man he faced tonight. To me this is a fight where he has more to lose than to gain.

ZAMARA ALI

Here's a guy with a lot of potential. If he can become more consistent he'll be one of the best in Union for sure.  He had that tough going against Nigel last outing, but The Hammer is a tough dude and won't let that lost hold him back at all. He's going up against another tough opponent in Randall Wade who can be a serious problem.

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 3-2. He stands 6’ even, and weighing in at 185 pounds. He is from Needville, Texas, he is Randall Wade!

[Randall Wade looks like he has been waiting for this fight forever as he looks laser focused on his opponent.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

The Texas native is coming in with a two fight win streak, making this a big fight for him. If he can avenge a loss from McCarthy, he could punch his ticket into title contention. The Middleweight Division right now is wide open and to be quite honest, Randall Wade isn’t getting any younger. Big point in his MMA career.

ZAMARA ALI

With his two fight win streak Randall has to feel super good coming into this fight. His stock is rising and a win tonight could see him catapult up the ranks.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Absolutely, Zamara. A big performance could make a new contender. And now we are all set and ready to go with our second 185 pound bout. The referee for this contest is the senior veteran Herschel Warden and he calls for the bell!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[The fight gets underway as the bell makes this one official. Both fighters close the distance and off the bat McCarthy looks for angles while throwing a few jabs that are countered by Randall Wade's punches. McCarthy is on the receiving end of a great combo by Wade to start this one off. Some nice counter shots from Brendan McCarthy stun Wade a bit, who now has a small cut on his chin. After the brief trade, both fighters size each other up back in the center of the cage.]

ZAMARA ALI

We knew this fight would be like this. Could get bloody out there.

BODIE SULLIVAN

We know Randall Wade will stand and trade. Even though McCarthy has that wrestling background, he’s not afraid to brawl.

[Both men circle around for a moment, looking for angles and catching their breath before they step into each other and engage in a wild exchange of punches! Wade is getting the best of the exchange as he lands a few solid blows. McCarthy swings hard with a hook and connects clean to Wade's face! Wade stumbles back, looking a bit stunned, and McCarthy shoots in at the hips and tries to take the fight to the mat. Wade is able to kick his hips back and break up the takedown attempt to keep this fight standing.]

ZAMARA ALI

Solid takedown defense but he needs to do a better job at covering up after they exchange blows.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Couldn’t agree more. Brendan might be using his striking to set up the takedown. Wade May need to keep an eye on that.

[Brendan McCarthy goes with a looping right hand while Randall Wade jumps back and jabs. Wade seems a bit staggered and McCarthy runs in to capitalize with a bunch of jabs and crosses! Some nice shots from Brendan McCarthy are landing uncontested that keeps Wade guessing. McCarthy throws a low leg kick to finish it off, but Wade is able to check it and circle out.]

ZAMARA ALI

Brendan is putting the pressure on early.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Incredible pace, but can he hold that tempo through three rounds?

[As Wade moves backwards, McCarthy is antagonizing him, asking him if he came today for fighting or running. McCarthy tries to take the fight to the ground with a single leg takedown but Randall Wade jumps sprawls back and frees his leg. Wade is trying to lock in a clinch but McCarthy doesn't want anything to do with it and moves backwards. As Brendan starts to move back, Randall Wade comes in with a bone shattering straight right! McCarthy ducks under and counters with a single leg takedown and Wade lands awkwardly on his arm, possibly hyper-extending it.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Great awareness from The Hammer. Evading that monster right and taking the fight to his realm.

ZAMARA ALI

This is where McCarthy wants to be. Randall needs to scramble his way back to his feet.

[Brendan McCarthy lands in side mount over Randall Wade and looks to be on the move. He slides his knee across and achieves the full mount position! Tough spot for Randall Wade. Some big heavy breaths are visibly noticeable from Wade, who tries to throw a hammer punch to McCarthy’s ribs. The Hammer blocks them, but it gives Wade enough of an opening to roll to his side and move to full guard. Wade continues to work on the ground from here and rolls to get a reversal and now he’s in closed guard over McCarthy!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Randall Wade is showing some drive on the ground.

ZAMARA ALI

It could get real ugly if The Hammer starts utilizing his ground and pound. Herschel could be calling this one early.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Wade has got to be smart.

[McCarthy winds back and fires off some big punches to the ribs, leaving hitches in Wade’s side. Wade is now focused on protecting his side, and this gives McCarthy the opportunity to roll and reverse the situation! Brendan McCarthy is now in full mount over Randall Wade! McCarthy begins launching a barrage of elbows over Wade's face! Those elbows may finish the fight soon if Wade doesn't fight back! McCarthy is looking to end this fight continuing with strikes while Wade is barely covering up! McCarthy switches up to the body, and hammers away and Wade looks lost right now. Wade tries to roll out and escape but McCarthy is able to control his position. After regaining control, McCarthy goes back to some ground and pound.]

ZAMARA ALI

Just burying him right now. Lethal ground and pound.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Wade is not in a good spot right now. If he doesn’t start defending himself better, the referee may be calling this one off.

[Randall Wade tries to roll to his side and trap Brendan McCarthy in his guard but McCarthy rolls him over and takes his back! McCarthy is in rear mount over Wade now and he tries to open up Wade's defense with a few punches. He is aggressively and repeatedly punching Wade in the side of the head as the referee looks on intently, ready to stop this fight at any moment. Wade tries to find an opening, and shows off some excellent ground skills by managing to escape and climb back to his feet! Both fighters have climbed to their feet and they continue the fight standing as the crowd goes into a frenzy.]

ZAMARA ALI

Good job by getting back to his feet but he took a lot of damage on the ground.

BODIE SULLIVAN

No doubt, Zamara. I would say this is where Wade can turn it around, but honestly McCarthy looked pretty good on his feet.

[Both fighters circle around as the crowd noise slowly dies down, and before you know it, McCarthy grabs his opponent by the waist and takes the fight back to the ground. Brendan McCarthy is in open guard over Wade with just thirty seconds remaining in the round. Wade launches a few weak punches from the bottom but McCarthy blocks them effectively and counters with a flurry of punches of his own. Brendan McCarthy tries to pass to half guard now and Randall Wade can't do anything to prevent it and McCarthy looks to work from half guard now. Wade tries to move on the ground and shows Brendan McCarthy a crack in his guard which he uses for a big elbow! Wade's forehead gets smashed with a sharp elbow that rocks his head against the mat! Herschel Warden knows he may be calling off the fight soon! The buzzer finally sounds and the referee separates the fighters and tells him to head to their corners.]

ZAMARA ALI

Saved by the bell. Herschel was seconds away from ending this one. Clear cut round for Brendan.

BODIE SULLIVAN

One down, two to go. Brendan McCarthy unquestionably takes this round and Randall Wade whatever it was in the first, he needs to completely rework his game plan. He looked completely lost out there.

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[The second round opens up and the fighters close the distance. A nice punch from Wade nearly tags McCarthy, but only hits air. McCarthy counters with a jab that misses and Wade evades but whiffs with a counter of his own. Brendan changes levels and shoots a single leg, which takes Wade by surprise as he gets taken down to the mat. The Hammer is in side mount and Wade tries to stand up quickly but McCarthy doesn’t allow it and keeps control in side mount.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Back to the mat, another textbook takedown by McCarthy.

ZAMARA ALI

This is not the place Wade wants to be right now. He was mauled on the mat in the first round.

[McCarthy gets a good position on the ground and unloads an incredible flurry! He's just wailing away at Randall Wade! The referee is saying he's going to stop it if Randall Wade doesn't defend himself! Wade finally covers up and McCarthy slides his knee across and gets to full mount. Wade tries to escape but McCarthy leans back and drops a brutal elbow that stops Wade dead in his tracks! Randall Wade tries to roll to his side and trap McCarthy in his guard but once again, McCarthy rolls him over and takes his back! McCarthy tries to get a hook in and after a brief struggle, McCarthy has one hook in and keeps working!]

ZAMARA ALI

We are seeing what having good wrestling and ground skills can do. Wade's been out of the fight because he's a striker and you can't go to work if you're on the ground.

[McCarthy has one hook in and is trying to get the second one! If he succeeds things are going to get very bad for Wade.McCarthy now has two hooks in! The end may be near! McCarthy tentatively looks for a way to finish his opponent, this is a nightmare for Wade! Wade adopts the turtle defense and McCarthy is ready to make his way to the victory with a round of punches! Wade tries to move on the ground and shows McCarthy a crack in his guard which he uses for a big elbow! McCarthy gets both hooks back in and he continues working on a desperate Wade, who tries to defend himself and escape from this position. McCarthy moves to keep control and is looking to sink a rear naked choke and finish this! Wade is able to slip protect his neck, and McCarthy goes back to wailing away on Wade with a round of punches.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Randall Wade is in survival mode at this point. The Hammer is imposing his will on him.

ZAMARA ALI

Can it get even uglier?

[Wade tries to move on the ground and shows Brendan McCarthy a crack in his guard which he uses for another big elbow and then goes back with a round of punches. Wade seems to be losing focus here and McCarthy can sense it! The Hammer opens Wade up enough and starts raining down elbows! McCarthy doesn't stop and viciously connects again and again! The referee has seen enough and pulls off Brendan McCarthy and ends the punishment here! Wade seems confused and a bit dazed as the referee tends to him.]

ZAMARA ALI

That was brutal. McCarthy kept Wade on the mat and showed why he's called the hammer.

BODIE SULLIVAN

It’s definitely not an ironic nickname, like a fat guy named tiny or slim. Brendan McCarthy brings the heat and it showed once again against Randall Wade.

[The crowd explodes into cheers and Brendan McCarthy is swarmed by his corner crew in celebration. Doctors tend to Wade for a while before helping him to his feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Herschel Warden has called for a stop in this fight at three minutes twenty-five seconds in the second round, for your winner by technical knockout, Brendan “The Hammer” McCarthy!

[The crowd cheers once again as McCarthy has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the Co-Main Event of the evening! The following contest is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Lightweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 2-0. He stands 5’7”, and weighing in at 155 pounds. He is from San Juan, Puerto Rico, fighting out of Lion's Den FC Las Vegas, he is Erick Costa!

[Erick Costa looks a bit uneasy. Hopefully this doesn't affect his performance.]

ZAMARA ALI

You normally don't see someone with only two professional fights fighting someone like Byron McCall but Erick Costa will be doing that tonight. He's one of those strong strikers who likes to let the hands go. He can do a good at it too. It'll be interesting to see if he decides to throw bombs early...or let the fight to come to him. You have to be very smart out there against Byron. Very very smart.

BODIE SULLIVAN

It’s a big opportunity for Costa, no question about it. He’s riding on a two-fight win streak with zero blemishes. The way that the Lightweight Division looks right now, a win for Erick Costa against a legend like Byron McCall would absolutely catapult him up the rankings.

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 20-10. He stands 6’1”, and weighing in at 155 pounds. He is from Boston, Massachusetts, fighting out of the 36th Street MMA, he is “The Last” Byron McCall!

[Byron McCall doesn't look concerned about anything his opponent brings to the table.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Byron McCall is making his second appearance at 155 pounds tonight. He seems determined to make this move down and become a title contender in the ever competitive division. We all remember his last trip to 155, a brutal loss to Natalie King. It doesn’t seem to have swayed his focus and continue to strive for Union gold.

ZAMARA ALI

Byron is one of the better fighters in the world and should be recognized as so. He's always been scary good. Very gamed opponent. Byron has been a true contender for a while now. He never seems to fade. I think tonight we could see more of a wrestling Byron McCall. Try and avoid Erick's power and neutralize him by keeping him on the mat. You never know with Byron though.

BODIE SULLIVAN

We wait no longer to see which McCall we get. The referee for this Co-Main Event bout is Dusty Whittaker. He checks off with each man one last time and calls for the bell! And this fight is underway!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[Byron McCall and Erick Costa touch gloves in the center to get this fight started! Byron McCall is slowing the pace of the fight a bit and circles around Costa. He unleashes a kick that misses. Byron McCall fakes a punch and shows some footwork moving aside. A bunch of leg kicks from Erick Costa are blocked by McCall. Erick Costa gets sloppy and Byron McCall tries to take advantage. A bad move from Erick Costa allows McCall to land a solid head kick.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Solid footwork from McCall to set up that nasty head kick.

ZAMARA ALI

That kick was on the money. Look for some more of those this round.

[Byron McCall paws at Costa. Costa swings ineffectively. McCall seems hesitant as if he would give the initiative to Costa before he fakes a move and launches a nice uppercut that lands on Costa's chin. Costa has a small cut on his Chin now. Byron McCall fakes another punch and shows some footwork moving aside.]

ZAMARA ALI

Playing it smart. Not trying to do too much. Letting the fight come to you.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Picking his spots. Throw some strikes and then move out. Great strategy so far for McCall.

[Erick Costa jabs at McCall hitting his chest. Hard blow to McCall's mid-section, he seems hurt before the two exchange wildly and both fighters are missing terribly until McCall connects with a few punches. McCall fakes another punch and launches himself over Costa! Nice move by McCall who clinches and pushes Costa against the cage.]

ZAMARA ALI

You don't wanna be in the clinch with Byron. He can really end a fight from here.

[Both fighters are tied in a clinch after measuring the distance McCall jump forward with a flying knee. Byron McCall's knee landed perfectly on Costa's chest, from the look of his face that must have really hurt. McCall pushes off of Erick Costa and starts launching a flurry of hooks and body shots! Costa stumbles backwards but Byron McCall chases him and continues the rain of blows! Costa doesn't want to clinch as he ducks under Byron McCall and tries to move away but Byron McCall pushes Costa forward and doesn't allow him to break the clinch.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Perfectly timed knee to the body and that just deflated Erick Costa.

ZAMARA ALI

That knee was gruesome. Costa needs to find a way to get out of the clinch as fast as he can.

[McCall pushes off of Erick Costa and starts launching a flurry of hooks and body shots! Costa stumbles backwards but Byron McCall chases him and continues the rain of blows! Byron McCall pushes Costa forward and doesn't allow him to break the clinch. Erick Costa gets sloppy and Byron McCall tries to take advantage...Byron McCall pushes away Costa trying to keep the fight at striking range. Costa stumbles backwards and Byron McCall circles to get the center of the cage.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Byron McCall is on point right now. There’s nothing Erick Costa can do to stop the momentum.

ZAMARA ALI

Byron has found a groove. Erick needs to bring the action to Byron to get him out that groove.

[McCall moves backwards and Erick Costa is asking him if he came today for fighting or running. McCall is holding Erick Costa's left leg... He's trying to take him down. Erick Costa loses balance and goes to the ground. Costa's left arm is got wrenched, it appears to be injured.]

ZAMARA ALI

That didn’t look too good. Did it snap? I hope not.

[Byron McCall is in side mount over Erick just cooling the fight on the ground. Byron McCall hovers above Costa and sends some Good punches to Costa's body. Deep breaths from Erick Costa who tries a hammer punch to McCall's ribs. McCall blocks those punches. McCall gets a good position on the ground and what an incredible flurry! He's just wailing away at Erick Costa! The referee is saying he's going to stop it if Erick Costa doesn't defend himself!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Byron McCall could finish this right now!

ZAMARA ALI

Byron has been doing what he wants to do. Clearly taking this round in the bag.

[Byron McCall looks to pass to mount. He slides his knee across and achieves the mount position! Tough spot for Erick Costa.Costa tries to stand up! McCall doesn't allow him..Byron McCall is not caught off guard and moves to side mount to keep his superior position. Erick Costa doesn't want to continue the fight in this position and tries to get back on his feet. He can't do it because of McCall's moves.]

ZAMARA ALI

He's gonna work a little harder than that if he wanna gets back to his feet.

[Erick Costa attempts to trap Byron McCall in his guard. Byron McCall keeps control and remains in side mount. Byron McCall slides his knee across and gets to full mount right as Jordan Ripley intervenes and separates the fighters as the buzzer sounds. Byron McCall has to be confident that he won that round.]

ZAMARA ALI

Byron clearly won that round hands down. Lions Den needs to come up with a different plan this round.

BODIE SULLIVAN

No question about it. We are seeing the different levels of experience in full force. Costa is staying alive, but has shown no signs of offense against the blazing Byron McCall. Hopefully he can adjust and make this one a little more competitive.

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[The fighters circle to start the round off. A furious flurry of punches from Byron McCall puts Costa in a world of hurt before Both fighters circle around the center of the cage.]

ZAMARA ALI

McCall isn't  playing any games tonight. He's on fire out there.

[Byron McCall steps forward and fires a high kick! Vicious high kick, I can't believe that landed! There is a small laceration on Erick Costa's Left cheek. A right hand from Byron McCall surprises Costa! McCall spins around and tries a spinning back kick! Byron McCall lands hard on Costa’s ribs with that one! Costa just snaps like a branch.]

ZAMARA ALI

Costa can't take much more of this.

BODIE SULLIVAN

No, he’s either gonna get knocked out or the ref is gonna stop this one.

[McCall looks for angles as he throws a few jabs that are countered by Erick Costa's punches. Costa is on the receiving end of a great combo by McCall. Costa ribs are getting hammered, they look bad! McCall wants to close the range and tries to grapple. Nice move. He shoves himself over Costa and secures a single collar tie. Costa however shows a small sign of life, pushing McCall away trying to keep the fight at striking range. McCall stumbles backwards and Costa circles to get the center of the cage.]

ZAMARA ALI

Costa can still win this round if he can wake up similar to what Dang Tay did in the second round against Kelsi. He needs to find something. Get a rhythm flowing.

[High kick from Byron McCall crushes Costa and Costa seems to be done as he drops to the mat like a rag doll. Dusty Whittaker has seen enough! The fight is over! He jumps in before Byron can get anymore punches in. He knows Costa is down for the count.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And this one is all over! Byron McCall with the head kick to end this one in under two minutes of the second round!

ZAMARA ALI

Wow man. Byron was on it out there. That's how you come back from those losses.

[The crowd explodes into cheers and McCall is swarmed by his corner crew in celebration. Doctors tend to Costa for a while before helping him to his feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Dusty Whittaker has called for a stop in this fight at one minute forty-six seconds in the second round, for your winner by technical knockout, “The Last” Byron McCall!

[The crowd cheers once again as McCall has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

Let's keep it real. Who better than Kennard Rozier? Who better than Pluggz The Great?

[He continues to look at the fights projecting from the projector.]

I've welcomed the best contender everytime I've laced up to defend my honor. Tonight it's no different.

Kennard Rozier vs Joseph Barnes Up Next

BF19_Rozier-vs-Byrne.png

I WON’T DENY IT, I’M A STRAIGHT RIDAH

YOU DON’T WANNA FUCK WITH ME

GOT THE POLICE BUSTIN' AT ME

BUT THEY CAN’T DO NOTHING TO A G

[The beat of “Ambitionz Az A Ridah” by 2Pac bumps over the PA system as the piano tones can be heard through the bass. Soon, the big Brit “One Punch” Joseph Byrne emerges onto the main stage with a brilliant white spotlight shining straight down on him as red and blue lasers scan throughout the building on either side of him. Byrne begins to make the walk to the octagon with his ScrapYard corner crew following behind him, and he looks focused on the task at at.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Making his way to the octagon now is the terrifying Joseph Byrne. Joey has been on an absolute tear as of late, winning his last four fights in astonishing fashion. The biggest take away for me about Byrne, is the fact that he’s finished his last three fights in a minute and forty-eight seconds COMBINED! His last three fights have lasted less than two minutes COMBINED! There is no way this fight sees past the first round… no chance.

ZAMARA ALI

This guy has been a monster since his lone Union defeat. He's literally been living up to the  'One Punch' moniker and has punched his way into the biggest fight of his career. He looks ready to as he should be with all the talent at ScrapYard…he's going to have to make the champ feel that power early but that's been a hard thing for anyone to do. If he can do that then we could be looking at the next Union Heavyweight Champion.

[Byrne finally reaches cageside, where he strips down to his gear and gets checked on by the fight official. Once he has been cleared, he turns around to give a quick fist bump to everyone of his corner mates, then stomps up the steps. Byrne enters the cage and roars with an enormous battle cry while flexing every muscle fiber in his body and the crowd roars back with emphatic cheers.]

LAME NIGGAS EVERYWHERE DO YOU SEE IT?

I FEEL LIKE RIPLEY'S DOG CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?

[As "Juice" by Peirre Bourne plays Kennard Rozier enter view behind a custom mask over his face. He's wearing a black and tan robe that says Pluggz The Great on the back. He slowly makes his way to the cage.]

C'NOTES EVERYWHERE I DONE SEEN SHIT!

C'NOTES EVERYWHERE I DONE SEEN SHIT!

BODIE SULLIVAN

And now for the final walkout of the night, the undefeated Heavyweight Champion, Kennard Rozier! It is without question, we are seeing the greatest heavyweight of all-time in Union Grand Prix. He’s a perfect 7-0 and has taken down all but one former Heavyweight Champ. When Rozier first came on the scenes, he was absolutely impressive, but not many people paid him much attention due to him not facing the elites. However, once the 2019 Championship Grand Prix rolled along, and we all watched as he brutalized the likes of Ferdinand Diao and Donnie Calabrese en route to winning the strap, and then besting the two-time champ Derrick La’Bell, it is quite clear we were seeing a different level of fighter.

ZAMARA ALI

The champ. The greatest Union Heavyweight and one of the elite fighters in combat sports. This guy is really a terror. He's right up there in the pound for pound rankings and has held his own during this mass growth in the Heavyweight Division...but he's never faced a striker like Joey. Sure, he's fought strong guys but they lean more toward the wrestling side of things. Joey wants to bang it out just like the champ...and that power is nothing to play with.

[Kennard stares at the cage while his coach Ray Delhomme's takes off his robe giving him some last notes. Kennard turns around and hugs everyone in his corner before stepping up the steps toward the cage. He turns around and takes off the mask he was wearing and throws it in the crowd. Turning around Kennard crouches telling himself a few things before stepping in the cage.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the Main Event of the evening! Sanctioned by the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission, our three judges scoring this contest at cageside are Miranda Franco, Max Carver, and Ozzie Sebastian, and when the action begins, our referee in charge in the octagon is Willie Green. AND NOW, this is the moment you’ve all been waiting for! The following contest is scheduled for five rounds and it’s for the Union Grand Prix Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 4-1. He stands 6’4”, and weighing in at 265 pounds. He is from Tottenham, London, England, fighting out of The ScrapYard MMA, he is “One Punch” Joseph Byrne!

[Joseph Byrne is beating himself up in the corner before the fight begins, smacking himself in the face, body and legs to get ready for his fight.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 7-0. He stands 6’5”, and weighing in at 235 pounds. He is from Kansas City, Missouri, fighting out of the 9th World Performance Institute, he is the reigning, defending, undefeated, undisputed Union Grand Prix Heavyweight Champion of the World, “Pluggz” Kennard Rozier!

[Kennard Rozier looks like he has been waiting for this fight forever as he shadow boxes in his corner and never loses focus.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And here it is, ladies and gentlemen. The final fight of the night with the title on the line. Two dangerous knockout artists are locked inside the cage and are ready to drop bombs! Willie Green is honored to call this fight as he checks off with each man one last time. And here we go!

OG_RD1.png

[Rozier and Byrne move forward as the bell signals the beginning of the fight. The two touch gloves in the center of the octagon to get this one officially started. Kennard Rozier throws some tentative punches to find his range that sets off Joseph Byrne. The ScrapYard prospect rushes in with a couple of jabs that are countered with a stiff cross from Rozier! Joey Byrne eats the shot but continues throwing those heavy hands and clips Rozier right on the button! Rozier gets stunned for a moment as he backpedals out of danger and the bridge of his nose is already beginning to swell and showing a small cut. Solid exchange here!]

ZAMARA ALI

Woooaaahh!!! That's the first time we may have ever seen Kennard take a shot like that. Byrne’s power is unreal at times. The champ nose is leaking.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Big shot right out of the gate! Joey Byrne isn’t sitting around waiting for his opponent to make a move.

[Byrne circles in to cut off his opponent and launches a wild head kick that falls just short of its mark. Before Joey can get his feet set, Rozier counters with a surprise roundhouse punch that rocks Byrne! Joey stumbles on his feet to stay upright after getting rocked and Kennard Rozier comes in hard with a brutal combination! Joseph Byrne is trying to defend himself, but his legs are looking wobbly!]

ZAMARA ALI

He's doing the chicken dance. Normally guys don't last much longer when they're like this against the champ. Joey's recovered from those shots but he's in deep waters.

BODIE SULLIVAN

These are H-Bombs being dropped here, Zamara. Absolutely incredible power behind those hands.

[Joseph Byrne shows off a small cut on his chin from the fast combo as he continues running on his bike. Byrne throws a lazy kick to try and knock Rozier off his tracks, but the champ ducks under it and comes firing back with an uppercut that almost puts Byrne into orbit! Kennard Rozier doesn’t let off with the attack and continues to rain punches and Byrne could be in some serious trouble!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Pluggz is showing off that incredible speed, especially for a heavyweight. Joey needs to slow this one down to regroup or this is gonna get ugly.

ZAMARA ALI

The movement's, the accuracy. This is one of the things I think sets Kennard apart from most. He's a dead on striker who doesn't miss much. He smells the end right now and maybe it is.

[Through the firestorm of punches, Joey Byrne fires back and lands a stinging combo and now Rozier staggers backwards! Byrne wants to finish this and continues launching bombs! Joey tries to finish it off with a powerful overhand right, but at the last second, it gets deflected by Rozier and he circles away to regroup and catch his breath.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And a quick turn of the tide back to Joseph Byrne! Both of these guys are rocked, it’s a matter of who can land that final crushing blow.

ZAMARA ALI

Kennard's never been in this position. He's been such a dominant fighter… and tonight Joey is putting his chin to the test. He's catching the champ when he's letting off with combos. Smart, because now Kennard can't reset and get his hands up quick enough.

[The crowd is in a frenzy after watching these two behemoths trade blows back and forth and already both fighters have taken a ton of damage. Rozier soon begins to circle in and look for angles on his opponent. He throws a few jabs to find his range again but he gets quickly countered by a flurry of punches from Joseph Byrne.]

ZAMARA ALI

The champ is hurt. Joey has landed some heavy blows and has done a good job of not letting Kennard find his rhythm.

BODIE SULLIVAN

Could we be seeing an upset right here? Joey Byrne has got Rozier right where he wants him!

[Kennard Rozier circles around Byrne some more to keep some distance before showing off his boxing skills with a one-two combo with some heat and those punches land clean on Byrne's face. Byrne gets his lip split and seems dazed! He stumbles backwards and he's now an easy target for Kennard Rozier! Pluggz rushes in with a stinging jab and follows it up with a furious hook that smashes Byrne's chin like a wrecking ball! Byrne loses balance and goes to the mat! Referee Willie Green is asking Byrne to defend himself but doesn’t get a definitive response. Green jumps in between the fighters and stops the punishment for Byrne!]

ZAMARA ALI

And just like that the champ retains. Man… he faced adversity for the first time in his eight fights and this crowd was loving these guys going back and forth. I wish we could see more.

BODIE SULLIVAN

What a wild ride! This fight switched momentum several times in just minutes and it looked like this could go either way. What an absolute incredible display of power from both of these guys, but in the end, it’s Rozier to retains once more.

ZAMARA ALI

Ask me and I'm gonna tell you that Joey has been Kennard's toughest opponent. He got a lot of clean shots… and for a minute Joey was winning the round, but as said earlier… Kennard is one of the most lethal finishers in the world and when he caught Joey he sensed the end was coming. Congratulations to him and Ninth World.

[The crowd explodes into cheers and Rozier is swarmed by his corner crew in celebration. Doctors tend to Byrne for a while before helping him to his feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Willie Green has called for a stop in this fight at two minutes thirty-three seconds in the very first round, for your winner by technical knockout, AND STILL the undisputed Union Grand Prix Heavyweight Champion of the World, “Pluggz” Kennard Rozier!

[The crowd cheers once again as Rozier has his hand raised in victory and the title wrapped around his waist. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]
