[After the opening intro video finishes up, we fade back into the NRG Arena in Houston, Texas which is packed with 8,000 fans in attendance. The crowd is on their feet cheering in anticipation for the night’s bouts. Camera angles pan around from one point to another, catching fans, athletes, and celebrities in attendance. We then transition to meet Dante Reed and Warhead Williams standing cageside.]

DANTE REED
Welcome ladies and gentlemen, we are live on the Battleground Network at the NRG Arena in Houston, Texas and this is UGP #2! We are standing here among 8,000 other fanatics in the building for this action packed event. I am Dante Reed and alongside me is the icon, Warren “Warhead” Williams! Warhead, Tonight we have eight scheduled bouts. We have two quarterfinal bouts in the Junior Heavyweight Championship Tournament and also two quarterfinal bouts in the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. We have two bouts in the Heavyweight Championship Round Robin series and two bouts in the Light Heavyweight Championship Round Robin series.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS
No doubt we have some big match-ups in store tonight. I'd like to start off talking about the round robin fights since we have seen most of these fighters perform already. Our opening bout, we have Aeron Roberts who took a loss to Cristian Bonanno at UGP #1 taking on the debuting Jeremiah Ford. We only saw a glimpse of what Roberts can do, but we know from previous work that she is a tough and extremely strong submission wrestler. Her opponent, "The Bullfrog" is stepping into the octagon for the very first time and it's his first night of competition since his college wrestling days back at Iowa. I'm curious to see how Ford plays this one tonight. His expertise is grappling, but I think Roberts is a much stronger competitor and I think if he wants to win this one tonight, he needs to keep the fight standing and utilize his striking game.

DANTE REED

Our second Light Heavyweight bout tonight is between Cristian Bonanno and Kira Izumi. Bonanno displayed a dominating strategy at UGP #1, knocking Aeron Roberts out early in the second round, while Izumi was forced to tap to Simon Bishop. This one will be interesting as there is a clash of fighting styles; a brawling wrestler against a submission artist. It'll be a matter of who can develop their game plan and keep the pressure on.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS
Our other two Round Robin bouts come in the Heavyweight Division. Our first heavyweight fight of the night is between the veteran Shotgun Koa and Ferdinand Diao. Both of these guys were on opposite ends of the spectrum, with Koa winning with a first round KO, and Diao losing to a first round KO. I'd like to think that Diao has worked on his stand up defense, because the old man Shotgun Koa still has a lot of power left in him.

DANTE REED

And then we also have Derrick La'Bell taking on "Dog Face" Donnie Calabrese. Again, these two were in similar circumstances, with La'Bell winning a first round KO and Calabrese losing in a first round KO. There's no doubt that these Heavyweights that have signed on to this championship series all have knockout power. The big question mark is, who will land that devastating blow?

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

And then moving to our single elimination tournament bouts, we have Kenzi Grey, who won in spectacular fashion in a play-in bout at UGP #1, taking on Annie Zellor. Both of these women come from the world of professional wrestling, but if Kenzi's fight with fellow pro wrestler Kaelan Laughlin is any indication, we will surely see another highly contested fight!

DANTE REED

Then our Headline Fight tonight is between Cruiserweight fighters Lauren Moore and Houston hometown hero Jordan Parker-Kane. This fight here has been talked about a lot leading up to tonight, with the whole incident that went down between JPK and Real Killas MMA Owner Daniel Fisk a few months back. Granted it was downplayed a bit, but the media reporters were still persistent in prodding this event.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I'm not even concerned about what went down between Fisk and JPK. What I'm amazed that no one really touched on was the pressure Jordan must be having fighting in his hometown. If you remember, two weeks ago Donnie Calabrese was heavily favored at UGP #1 which went down in his hometown of Chicago and fell in stunning fashion. Will JPK suffer a similar fate here tonight?

DANTE REED

That's a good point. But speaking of all of that, we will see the highly anticipated return of Daniel Fisk who goes up against a brute of a newcomer, "Mad" Maxine. It's been some time since we've seen Daniel Fisk inside the octagon. But now that he's in a new environment, there seems to be a renewed energy in him and his newly branched out camp. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited to see this one here.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Fisk has been the talk of the town for this match-up, but you cannot deny the capabilities that Maxine implores. Both her and Fisk had to cut about 20 pounds to get to the 225 pound limit, and she's built like a brick shithouse! Stranger things have happened inside the cage!

DANTE REED

No one, anyone has a chance to walk out victorious in the mixed martial arts world. All it takes is one clean shot and it's lights out. But finally, our main event of the evening features an Olympic Boxer going up against an Olympic Wrestler. Two competitors who reached the highest level of amateur competition will meet inside the octagon for a chance to move one step closer to that Junior Heavyweight Championship. "The Last Tsar" Viktor Volkov goes up against Nathan Lucas in a fight we're dubbing, "The Battle on Mount Olympus". It's sure to tear the house down, and without wasting anymore time, lets turn it over to our mouthpiece, Mike Dempsey!

Hailey has a scowling fierce look on her face as she slowly prowls down the aisle. She makes it to cageside where she is checked up by the fight official. Once she’s cleared, she races up the steps and jogs around the cage a couple times before staying out in her corner.]

DANTE REED

Coming down the aisle, making his mixed martial arts debut, Jeremiah Ford is looking primed for battle. He’s a two-time All-American wrestler at the University of Iowa, and is looking to make the next big journey. Leading up to this fight, he didn’t underestimate his opponent tonight, realizing her strength and submission game. He looks ready to go to war!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

The Bullfrog definitely has a great foundation in wrestling, but we’ll have to see where he stacks up in striking. Like you mentioned, Aeron Roberts is fiercely strong, but surprisingly her striking game is subpar. I think it’ll be in Jeremiah’s best interests to keep the fight standing and avoid going to the ground and allow Roberts the chance to do her most damage.

Aeron Roberts is looking to rebound after a tough loss at UGP #1 to Cristina Bonanno. A win here will definitely set her on the right path. The big key to her victory is to try and take Jeremiah to the ground and work her submission game.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

No doubt she’s one of the best in UGP when it comes to submissions, but she’s going to have to be patient. Jeremiah is a lot quicker than her, so she will have to pick her spots and attack head-on when she can.

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, we are live exclusively on the Battleground Network here at the NRG Arena in Houston, Texas for UGP #2! And now, this opening fight is scheduled for three rounds in the UGP Light Heavyweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Wrestler with a record of 0-0. He stands at 5’7” and weighing in at 180 pounds. He is from Oskaloosa, Iowa, he is Jeremiah “Bullfrog” Ford!

[Jeremiah Ford stays put in his corner. He looks calm but knows he has a tough fight coming up.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a wrestler with a record of 0-1. She stands 5’9” and weighing in at 178 pounds. From Wrexham, Wales, she is “The Demon Queen” Aeron Roberts!

[Aeron Roberts shifts back and forth as she raises a fist in the air.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This is sure to be an exciting encounter. Based on our social media polls, 64% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that The Demon Queen walks out victorious.

DANTE REED

The referee for this opening contest is Dusty Whittaker. He checks off with each fighter one last time, and calls for the start of the bout! This fight is underway!

ROUND ONE

[Aeron Roberts and Jeremiah Ford close the gap, touch gloves, and are ready to get this fight started! Both fighters circle around the center of the cage, and Ford shoots in for a single leg, but Roberts sprawls back in defense. Roberts immediately attacks the neck and tries to end this with a RNC! The Bullfrog manages to roll on the ground, break the lock, and get to a side mount. The Demon Queen tried to work the ribs with some hammer punches but Ford is able to block them effectively. Jeremiah’s corner crew are screaming at him to stand up and avoid any chance of Aeron getting another submission attempt.]

DANTE REED

Listen to Jeremiah’s coaches. They are screaming at him to get back to his feet!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I don’t blame them. Roberts is a submission master and she can finish the fight if you mess with her on the ground.

[Aeron Roberts tries to roll to her side and trap Ford in her guard but he keeps good control and remains in full mount. Roberts tries to escape from the full mount but struggles a bit and pushes her opponent maybe a bit anxiously. Aeron tried several times to escape the bottom but Jeremiah holds on strong. After awhile of nothing going on, referee Dusty Whittaker has seen enough and stands the fighters up. The crowd in Houston cheer as both fighters regain their stance.]

[Aeron Roberts tries to bring the fight to the ground and she succeeds. Aeron tries to gain some leverage, but The Bullfrog is able to control her. Roberts moves on the ground and cannot take advantage. Jeremiah Ford looks to close his guard around Roberts, and succeeds! Ford holds Roberts' head against his chin in the closed guard. Jeremiah is visibly breathing heavy as he tries to control his opponent.]

[Suddenly like a bolt of lightning, Ford tries to roll on the ground and gets a reversal! He is now in full mount over Aeron Roberts! The Demon Queen tries to roll to her side and trap Ford in her guard. She gets her hip out and moves to full guard. Ford scoots back in open guard over Roberts and she tries to close her guard around Ford but isn’t able to. The referee again decides to stand up the fighters since there was not much action on the ground.]

DANTE REED

Dusty Whittaker orders both fighters back to their feet and I gotta tell you Warhead, Jeremiah is holding his own on the ground!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I’m surprised he’s been so willing to go to the ground with Aeron. That is her playground, all it takes is one slip up and she could have him trapped.

[Both fighters have climbed to their feet and they continue the fight standing. The crowd in the NRG Arena are cheering them on. Aeron Roberts tries to catch Ford off guard with a bear hug takedown, but he stuffs it. She gets back to her feet and shoots for a double leg, but

Jeremiah sprawls back and manages to stay on his feet. Aeron Roberts, back on her feet, turns away cheekily and rolls for a kneebar on Jeremiah Ford's left leg but he kicks his leg out and avoids any danger while Roberts remains on the ground.]

DANTE REED

Aeron Roberts is firing away at Jeremiah Ford, but she hasn’t been able to follow through with any of it.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

She’s at least keeping him on his toes and staying honest at the moment. Sometimes you take these misfires as a setup for something better later on.

[Ford is standing while Roberts is on the ground on her back. Roberts doesn't want to continue the fight in this position and tries to get back on her feet but is hesitant with Jeremiah’s movements. Jeremiah finally motions to allow Aeron up, and she does. Roberts and Ford dance around for a bit to try and get an edge on the other. Then without warning, The Demon Queen and The Bullfrog engage in a wild exchange of punches! Ford is getting the better of the exchange as he lands a few extra blows. Roberts abandons the back and forth strikes and brings the fight to the ground. Roberts tries a leg lock but Ford is able to break free. The two try to jockey for position for a while before referee Dusty Whittaker stands them up again. Jeremiah Ford attempts a sweep single just as the buzzer goes off, ending this round. Dusty Whittaker separates the fighters and the two shake hands as they head back to their corners.]

DANTE REED

Interesting opening round as we saw a lot more ground game than we probably expected from Jeremiah Ford.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Gotta give him credit for taking it to the mat and not being afraid to go to the ground, but Roberts is the winner of this round in my opinion.

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[The second round begins and the two fighters begin closing the distance. Quick hook by Jeremiah Ford and Aeron Roberts gets stunned. Roberts tries to take the fight to the ground with a single leg takedown but Ford sprawls back. The Bullfrog moves forward looking for some action and surprises Roberts with a double overhooks! Aeron stays focused and catches Ford's far ankle and sweeps him to the mat! The Demon Queen tries to get a full mount but Ford bridges out and rolls out to reverse the positioning. Roberts tries to roll out of the bottom now, but Jeremiah holds her in place. Ford throws some elbows and Aeron is visibly wincing with each shot. Ford keeps control of the situation despite Aeron’s attempts of escaping from the full mount. Eventually, Roberts uses her strength to bridge out and escapes! Both fighters are now standing and the crowd cheers them on.]

DANTE REED

I have to say I’m impressed with Jeremiah’s ground game against the stronger Roberts so far.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

He’s not shying away and has been stuffing the takedowns. If he can get some more offense rolling he’ll be in good shape with the judge’s.

[Ford and Roberts bounce around, looking for angles while catching their breath. Roberts dives for Ford's left leg and turns it into a foot lock attempt, but Jeremiah Ford kicks his leg out of danger while Aeron remains on the ground. Roberts springs back up and the two square off. Roberts shoots in for another bear hug takedown, but Ford once again stifles it. Aeron changes levels and grabs a leg, but Jeremiah stays upright and rocks The Demon Queen with a right hook! Aeron releases the leg and steps back to regain composure and The Bullfrog moves forward and surprises Roberts with a double overhooks! Aeron Roberts quickly catches Ford's far ankle and trips him back down to the mat!]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Slick takedown by Roberts.

[Roberts comes down to the mat in a closed guard, but Ford uses the momentum and quickly reverses it to get a full mount! Roberts tries to escape from the full mount but Ford is not caught off guard and moves to side mount to keep his superior position. The Demon Queen tries to escape from the bottom, but Jeremiah keeps full control over her. She continuously moves around but cannot break free from Ford’s pressure. After awhile, the referee decides to stand up the fighters since there was not much action on the ground. Roberts looks for angles as she throws a few jabs that are countered by Jeremiah Ford's punches, and Roberts is on the receiving end of a great combo by The Bullfrog. Both corners are screaming at their fighters to make some moves, and the two exchange wildly, with Ford connecting with a few more punches. Roberts steps in and is holding Jeremiah Ford's right leg, trying to take him down, but Ford shows great balance while pushing Aeron away. Jeremiah now shoots in for a double leg takedown and brings Roberts to the mat, but before he can execute anymore offense, the buzzer sounds, marking the end of the round. The ref tells the fighters to go to their corner.]

DANTE REED

Another excellent close round here. Who do you got?

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This round is maybe for Jeremiah Ford, but it's close. He showed a bit more control and offense, but this one could go either way. One of them is going to have to finish this fight or take commanding control of this last round in order to win.

[The final round has come, and as the two close the distance, Roberts fakes a punch and shoots a takedown! Bullfrog sprawls and remains on his feet. Roberts misses a step and Jeremiah Ford sees an opportunity to counter her! Ford fakes a punch and launches himself into a Thai clinch. Roberts pushes down Ford and tries to pull guard, but Ford breaks the lock and Roberts falls to the ground! Roberts springs back up before Jeremiah can do anything. Roberts shoots in for a takedown, but Jeremiah stuffs it with a sprawl. Roberts is still holding Jeremiah's left leg, trying to take him down. Jeremiah Ford shows great balance while pushing away Aeron Roberts. The Bullfrog counters with an uppercut! This sets off Aeron, and the two exchange wildly. Roberts tries once again with a bear hug takedown, but like all night, it’s not working.]

[Both fighters circle around the center of the cage. Aeron Roberts tries to bring the fight to the ground, but The Bullfrog won't budge, forcing Roberts to pull guard. Ford is in closed guard over Roberts, cooling the fight off on the ground. Roberts reaches under and rolls for a kneebar, but Ford blocks the attempt and uses the opportunity to seize half guard. Roberts misses a step and Ford sees an opportunity to counter her. Ford looks to posture up and open Aeron Roberts's guard and succeeds. The Bullfrog tries to jump to side mount but Roberts closed her guard around Ford. He tries once again and gets in full mount over Aeron Roberts. She tries to roll on the ground but Jeremiah knows how to keep his advantage on the ground. Roberts clumsily fails here and it's time for Jeremiah Ford to fight back! Aeron tries to roll to her side and trap Jeremiah in her guard but he rolls her over and takes her back! The referee decides to stand up the fighters since there was not much action on the ground.]

DANTE REED

Jeremiah Ford is showing superior control on the ground, something I did not expect.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Aeron Roberts is a submission wizard, but she’s been outworked by Ford tonight at her own game, no doubt.

[Both fighters continue the fight on their feet. You can hear how the people agree with that decision with unanimous cheers. Jeremiah fakes a punch and shoots in to clinch.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Nice move by The Bullfrog who clinches and pushes Roberts against the cage.

[Roberts doesn't want to clinch as she ducks under Ford and tries to move away, but Jeremiah Ford pushes Roberts forward and doesn't allow her to break the clinch. Aeron Roberts tries an outer leg sweep, but he manages to maintain his balance and avoid going down. Referee Dusty Whittaker separates the fighters and tells them to continue fighting back in the center. Aeron shoots for a double leg takedown, and again Jeremiah sprawls and manages to stay on his feet. Roberts looks for angles as she throws a few jabs that are countered by Jeremiah Ford's punches.]

DANTE REED

Roberts is on the receiving end of a great combo by Bullfrog.

[Aeron Roberts tries to bring the fight to the ground, but Ford stands strong and forces her to pull guard. Roberts reaches under and rolls for a kneebar! Ford blocks the attempt and uses the opportunity to seize half guard.]

DANTE REED

Roberts is gassing out. She’s going through the motions and her performance is going downhill from here.

[Aeron Roberts gets an arm and tries to apply an armbar. Ford spins out, but Roberts was ready for that and quickly switches to a triangle choke! Jeremiah is too quick and manages to back out of danger. Roberts gets sloppy and Jeremiah Ford tries to take advantage. The Bullfrog decides to go after his opponent and jumps inside Roberts's guard. Roberts did not see that coming! Jeremiah Ford is in open guard over Roberts now. Roberts reaches under and rolls for a kneebar but Ford blocks the attempt and uses the opportunity to seize half guard. Jeremiah is trying to better his position on the ground and launches a couple of elbows against Roberts' ribs and she winces in pain. The buzzer sounds and the ref stops the action.]

DANTE REED

Another close call. I don't think either fighter got the better of their opponent that round.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This one is going to the judges. Let’s see how they scored it.

[Both fighters struggle to get back to their feet. Once they do, they embrace with a hug and head over to their respective corners to catch their breath. Both fighters are celebrating as if they won the fight, and finally they meet back in the center for the official ruling.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the result of this fight come to a judge’s decision. After three rounds, the judges have scored it 29-28, 29-28, 30-27 for the winner by unanimous decision, Jeremiah “Bullfrog” Ford!

[The crowd cheers as Jeremiah Ford has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters embrace with a handshake and say a few words to each other before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

Roberts had some moments and she contributed to the enjoyment of the people here at the NRG Arena. A highlight reel performance by The Bullfrog from beginning to end! We want this man in all the events! Union Grand Prix management should pay these two extra just for the excitement they provide to the fans in this opening fight!

The Team Brutal representative, Ferdinand Diao, is coming off a tough loss against Derrick La’Bell at UGP #1. If he looks to stay alive in this Heavyweight Round Robin, he’s going to have to score a victory here tonight.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

No doubts about it. Going 0-2 pretty much seals the deal for this one. He’s going to have to keep his chin tucked and avoid the big haymaker from Koa.

Koa has a stone cold stare in his eyes as he makes his way down the ramp. He makes it to cageside where he is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, he climbs up the steps and calmly takes his place in his corner.]

DANTE REED

The Samoan Sledgehammer is coming off an impressive main event victory against one of the biggest names UGP has to offer in Donnie Calabrese. The 44 year old vet stunned the Chicago crowd at UGP #1 with a textbook haymaker KO that sealed the victory. If Koa can win here tonight, it all but solidifies his shot at the Heavyweight Championship.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

The guy is a knockout artist, no doubt. But Diao is a much better conditioned fighter. If Diao can draw the fight out for a round or two, I think that will increase his chances of winning. But all it takes is one solid shot for the Shotgun, and it’s lights out!

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following bout is scheduled for three rounds in the UGP Heavyweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a wrestler and striker with a record of 0-1. He stands at 6’3” and weighing in at 262 pounds. He is from Dakar, Senegal fighting out of Team Brutal, he is “The Lion” Ferdinand Diao!

[Diao steps out from the corner and raises a fist in the air before going back to bouncing in place.]

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a striker with a record of 1-0. He stands at 5’10” and weighing in at 265 pounds. He is from Asau, Samoa fighting out of Perth, Australia, he is “Shotgun” Sakaria Koa!

[Koa steps out from the corner and raises a fist in the air before going back to bouncing in place.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Ferdinand Diao looks calm but knows he has a tough fight coming up. 80% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Shotgun Koa walks out victorious.

DANTE REED

Sakaria Koa is the favored fighter of the crowd here at NRG Arena. The referee of the bout is Roy Rivers. He checks off with each fighter one last time and calls for the fight! And here we go!

Coming off of a tough loss, Kira Izumi is still searching for his first win in this Light Heavyweight Round Robin series. He showed some flashes of great technique, but ultimately got caught in a kimura and tapped to Simon Bishop.

At UGP #1, Kenzi Grey defeated Kaelan Laughlin via submission with just ten seconds left of the fight. Some critics have said she may not have won that fight, given if it had went the distance, but that’s the nature of this sport. Not many have mentioned that Kaelan’s inexperience and not keeping track of the clock cost her that match. In any case, Kenzi persisted and earned that victory to officially enter the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.

Some people wondered what Kenzi and Kaelan would bring to the table, and they surprised pretty much everyone and earned Fight of the Night honors that night. Kenzi is going to have to put up a similar performance here tonight in order to continue on to the semifinals round.

Annie moves forward looking for some action and Kenzi Grey struggles a bit before breaking Annie’s attempt of grappling. A punch from Annie Zellor grazes Grey's left cheek. Annie Zellor is slowing the pace of the fight a bit and circles around her opponent. Zellor tries to take the fight to the ground with a single leg takedown and Grey gets caught with it.]

[Zellor is in open guard over Grey and she tries to pass to half guard. Kenzi Grey's closes her guard to prevent the pass. Annie looks to posture up and open Kenzi Grey's guard, but Grey has a solid guard and keeps her ankles locked. Grey is looking for a triangle from bottom, but Zellor slips out. Grey quickly turns her hips over and switches to the armbar!]

[Annie slips out and backs away to avoid danger. Jordan Ripley halts the fight to stand up Kenzi Grey. The fight resumes with both fighters standing. Both fighters continue the fight on their feet and the crowd cheers them on. Zellor fakes a punch and shoots a takedown but Grey sprawls and remains on her feet. Annie and Kenzie circle around the center of the cage. Zellor shoots for a double leg takedown but again Kenzi sprawls and manages to stay on her feet. Annie is holding Grey's right leg, trying to take her down. Kenzi shows great balance while pushing Annie away.]

[Both fighters are back up standing neutral. Zellor circles around Grey and launches a furious low kick, but Kenzi blocks! Annie fires an unorthodox punch to Grey's torso that goes wide. Kenzi Grey looks to counter with a low kick to maintain her distance. Zellor shoots for a double leg takedown and again Kenzi sprawls and manages to stay on her feet. Looking a bit frustrated, Annie Zellor attempts a sweep single and catches Grey's far ankle and trips her to the mat! Zellor is in closed guard and Grey tries to roll on the ground! Annie uses her leg to keep her position on the ground. Annie shifts to half guard, and Kenzi slides her legs high and tries to apply a triangle! Zellor cuts to the side and manages to pass to side mount! Zellor is trying to better her position on the ground and launches a couple of elbows against Grey's ribs. Grey blocks Annie Zellor's moves and tries to reverse the situation. Jordan Ripley has seen enough passivity on the ground and stands up the fighters.

Both fighters continue the fight on their feet.]

Pretty even opening round thus far. Neither fighter has taken a commanding lead.

They seem to be feeling each other out right now, but clearly Annie needs to setup the takedown a little better. Kenzi has stuffed every attempt.

[Annie Zellor takes a few seconds to catch her breath, then launches a flurry of punches. Grey slips out to avoid anymore danger. A bone shattering straight right hand from Annie Zellor! The buzzer sounds, marking the end of the round. The ref tells the fighters to go to their corner.]

A close opening round here. If I had to pick, I’d say Annie Zellor is the winner of this round.

I’m not so sure. Annie threw more strikes, but Kenzi was able to stuff every takedown attempt and kept Annie at bay. I would have to give this one to Kenzi.

A nice low kick from Annie but Kenzi Grey stops it. Annie attempts to cut off Grey with punches, and Grey reels from the strikes. Annie attempts a sweep single but Kenzi was ready and shrugs off the takedown attempt. The two exchange wildly and Zellor is connecting with a few punches. Annie throws a body kick. Solid shot!]

Good front kick from Zellor! Grey stumbles backwards after that one!

Annie Zellor was playing Kenzi Grey and caught her with a solid kick.

[Annie tries to bring the fight to the ground but Grey won't budge, forcing her to pull guard. Kenzi is in closed guard over Annie. Grey struggles on the ground and tries to break Annie Zellor's guard but Annie doesn't want to free her opponent and Grey continues in closed guard. Annie is cooling the fight on the ground. Deep breaths from Zellor who tries a hammer punch to Grey's ribs. Grey blocks those punches. The referee decides to stand up the fighters since there was not much action on the ground.]

[Both fighters have climbed to their feet and they continue the fight standing. Zellor pushes Kenzi and moves away from her. She seems to be catching her breath. Grey looks for angles as she throws a few jabs that are countered by Zellor's punches. But then Annie is on the receiving end of a great combo by Grey. Kenzi Grey fakes a punch and shows some footwork moving aside. Bone shattering straight left hand from Annie Zellor!]

Grey is going to have a big headache after that blow Zellor is one of those women capable of pounding you into oblivion!

[Annie Zellor throws a punch that finds an opening in the defense of Grey. She launches a hook to the body and Grey stops that one with her ribs! Annie Zellor swings with a haymaker but catches air. Kenzi moves in quick with a sweep single and catches Zellor's far ankle and trips her to the mat! Kenzi Grey is in closed guard and Annie tries to roll on the ground! Nice reversal! She is now in full mount over Kenzi! Both fighters struggle to get full control and after awhile, referee Jordan Ripley stands them up. No sooner as the two get back to their feet, the buzzer sounds and this round is over. Jordan Ripley tells the fighters to go to their corners.]

Yeah she didn’t leave any doubts out there this round. She executed a lot more offense and was able to control the tempo throughout the round.

Zellor launches a kick to Grey's thigh, but she checks that kick! Zellor moves backwards and gestures for Kenzi to stand up, and she does.]

Grey ducks that one. Annie Zellor is measuring Grey with her jab. Grey isn't fazed. Another solid combination from Annie Zellor and Grey continues showing some dodging skills avoiding some throws.]

Calabrese calmly walks down the ramp with a swagger that’s infectious. He doesn’t show much emotion, just bobbing his head to the beat of his music as he makes it to cageside and gets checked by the bout official. Once cleared, he climbs up the steps and heads straight to his corner, flexing for the cameras along the way.]

The deck is stacked against Dog Dace Donnie Calabrese now. After losing in an upset in his hometown Chicago at UGP #1, Calabrese has to win tonight to stay afloat in this Heavyweight Round Robin. Going 0-2 would be a huge hole to climb out of.

It would be a big hole, but not one that’s inescapable. Donnie needs to stay focused in this fight tonight. La’Bell is also a heavy handed striker, so the big key for Calabrese is to stay sharp, keep the chin tucked, and do what he does. He can’t let the past dictate his future.

"Long Island Strong" moves on the ground to a side mount. Dog Face Donnie works on the ground with his fingers over La’Bell’s face. He seems to have encountered the eye! What a classless move! Roy Rivers saw it!Roy Rivers halts the fight to give La’Bell time to recover. La'Bell seems to be ready to fight again. The fight resumes with both fighters standing. You can hear how the people agree with that decision.]

["Long Island Strong" throws a hook that hits its mark. Donnie's left cheek is beginning to swell. That punishing throw by Derrick La'Bell has left Dog Face Donnie staggered! La'Bell should try push forward now and finish this! Dog Face stumbles backwards staggered and Derrick La'Bell launches aggressively over his opponent throwing some wild punches! Dog Face is knocked down after a couple of punches, hitting the mat hard! Is he out? Dog Face seems a bit groggy... his movements are not very coordinated now. "Long Island Strong" is standing while Dog Face is on the ground on his back. Donnie Calabrese doesn't want to continue the fight in this position and tries to get back on his feet, but he can't do it because of Derricks moves.]

[La’Bell continues standing while Dog Face is on the ground on his back. Derrick opts to go after his opponent and jumps inside Dog Face's guard. Dog Face didn't see that coming. La’Bell is in open guard over Dog Face now. Derrick La'Bell storms over Dog Face with a brutal punishment in the form of elbows! "Long Island Strong" doesn't stop and viciously hits again and again Calabrese’s face with his elbows! There is a small laceration on Calabrese's left eye! La’Bell launches a barrage of elbows over Dog Face's face again! Those elbows may finish the fight soon if Dog Face Donnie doesn't fight back! That brutal impact left Donnie laid out on the mat! The referee rams into La’Bell to stop the blows and the crowd is on their feet! Derrick La'Bell's corner rush in to congratulate him!]

Another incredible finish for Derrick La’Bell, who now goes 2-0 in the Heavyweight Round Robin series. This win has pretty much solidified himself a shot at the Heavyweight Championship. She comes out wearing her black and gold walkout fight kit with crew members from her camp following behind. Maxine burrows her head down while slowly marching down the aisle. She makes it to cageside where she is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, she stomps up the steps and calmly takes her place in her corner.]

Stepping into the octagon for the very first time, Mad Maxine is a very intimidating woman! During the media blitz, she deferred to her manager Sydney Grey to answer any questions, and she caused quite a stir with Maxine’s opponent here tonight.

He walks forward toward the octagon slapping a few fives on the way but never turning his attention from the cage. Once he reaches the outside he rolls his neck and bobs up and down a little bit and hugs his entire team before getting checked and entering the cage.]

[He walks to the middle of the cage and stands facing Maxine’s side and rotates his wrists. Barely moves, just only rotating his wrists as if loading them up before backing up to his corner.]

Big matchup coming up for Lauren Moore. Making her Union GP here tonight, she’s going up against the hometown hero Jordan Parker-Kane. She hasn’t said much leading up to the fight, being the “silent assassin” type that she is, but did talk a little about the significance of her opponent and her Real Killas MMA camp at Friday's Press Conference.

She likes to do the talking inside the cage. But she did shoot on JPK's issues with Real Killas MMA owner Daniel Fisk, and about how JPK may be distracted with his other employers. She’s a suffocating wrestler who’s able to control the pace of the fight on top. She has a vicious ground and pound attack which she often finishes her fights from. However, her standing strikes have a lot to be desired. I’m sure she’ll be looking to take the fight to the ground early and often.

And here comes the hometown hero, Jordan Parker-Kane! JPK is making his UGP debut, although he’s got a few MMA fights under his belt. This kid just turned 19 years of age and has already made some headlines in the MMA world. A few months back, he and Real Killas MMA Owner Daniel Fisk got into a spat, which some say was the spark for Fisk to buyout from the Slaughterhouse franchise and develop his own camp and brand. They have since squashed it for about as good as it’s going to get. But tonight none of that matters, as JPK tries to carve his own path here in this Cruiserweight Tournament.

To carve his path, he’s going to have to utilize his strengths here in his first UGP bout. He’s got blazing speed even for the 155 pound division. He can go all night with tremendous conditioning and has so much heart and mental toughness that at times it can be at a fault. Moore is a more powerful fighter, so Jordan will have to keep on his toes and work a good counter game.

Spidey tries to grapple and puts L-Mo in a double underhook! Spidey grapples with Lauren Moore and tries an inner leg sweep and she falls hard on the mat with Jordan Parker-Kane on top. Spidey is in closed guard and L-Mo tries to roll on the ground! Jordan Parker-Kane uses his leg to keep his position on the ground. Jordan Parker-Kane launches a few punches to L-Mo, but she holds Jordan Parker-Kane's arms and blocks the punches! Spidey tries to escape from closed guard. He struggles to free his leg and jumps to half guard! Jordan Parker-Kane tries to pass Lauren Moore's guard and manages to get his leg free and moves to side mount. Lauren Moore takes advantage of her opponent's over commitment and traps him in full guard. Spidey breathes heavily while on the ground. Jordan Parker-Kane launches a few punches to L-Mo.]

[Jordan Parker-Kane tries to finish with a leg lock! That leglock looks tight but L-Mo is able to break the lock. Spidey is in open guard over L-Mo now, he fakes a move and then tries a kneebar! Crippling lock! L-Mo rolls on the ground trying to get free and after a few kicks of hers own she escapes. Jordan Ripley halts the fight to stand up Jordan Parker-Kane. The fight resumes with both fighters standing and the fans are cheering for the fighters. A punch from Jordan Parker-Kane grazes L-Mo's left cheek. Spidey jumps over his opponent and tries to grapple. L-Mo sees what was coming and ducks under her opponent and moves aside. Jordan Parker-Kane fakes a punch and launches himself over L-Mo! Moore is smart enough to avoid the clinch game by Spidey and pushes him away! Spidey misses a step and Moore sees an opportunity to counter him! Moore tries to take the fight to the ground with a single leg takedown and slams him to the mat!]

[L-Mo is in closed guard and Spidey tries to roll on the ground! Nice reversal! He is now in full mount over Lauren Moore! Moore tries to roll to her side and trap Jordan Parker-Kane in her guard, but Jordan Parker-Kane rolls her over and takes her back! Spidey is in rear mount over L-Mo. Jordan Parker-Kane isolates an arm looking for an armbar from the back! That Armbar from Jordan Parker-Kane appears to be unbreakable! L-Mo locks her hands and forces her weight on top of Jordan Parker-Kane until she can pull her arm free! Spidey lost his dominant position. L-Mo positions herself for a round of ground and pound and tries to finish the fight with some precise elbows! Spidey attempts to cover himself and blocks those elbows.]

[Lauren Moore is in closed guard over Spidey now. Jordan Parker-Kane sits up and gets an arm around L-Mo's neck! L-Mo pushes Jordan Parker-Kane back to the ground. Spidey clumsily fails here and it's time for Lauren Moore to fight back! Good looking punches from Lauren Moore on the ground, but it’s deflected by Spidey. Spidey throws his legs up in a triangle attempt! Moore realizes the danger and stands up to avoid the attack. Jordan Ripley halts the fight to stand up Jordan Parker-Kane. The fight resumes with both fighters standing.]

[Parker-Kane tries to take the action to his favorite field as he tries to grapple. Great move by Jordan who pushes his opponent forward with a double underhooks. Moore tries to shrug her way out of the clinch. Spidey is determined to work from the clinch. He pummeled through and managed to retain his position. Both fighters are tied in a clinch. Spidey pushes off of Moore and starts launching a flurry of hooks and body shots! L-Mo stumbles backwards but Parker-Kane chases her and continues the rain of blows! Moore pushes away Spidey trying to keep the fight at striking range. Spidey doesn't want to break the clinch as he still is grappling with Moore.]

[Both fighters are tied in a clinch. Parker-Kane grapples with Moore and tries to hit her with an elbow. Right, left, and right elbow again! Nice combination by Spidey, L-Mo was surely hurt there! Spidey doesn't want to clinch anymore so he ducks under Moore and tries to move away. Nice move from Spidey who put distance between them. L-Mo stumbles backwards and Jordan Parker-Kane circles to get the center of the cage. The buzzer sounds and Jordan Ripley separates the fighters as the round concludes. The fighters shake hands as they head back to their corners.]

I would be surprised if the judges didn't see that round for Spidey.

L-Mo doesn't want to break the clinch as she still is grappling with Parker-Kane. She realizes there’s nothing doing, so L-Mo ducks under Jordan Parker-Kane and tries to move away. Parker-Kane pushes L-Mo forward and doesn't allow her to break the clinch. Spidey pushes off of Moore and starts launching a flurry of hooks and body shots! L-Mo stumbles backwards but Jordan Parker-Kane chases her and continues the rain of blows!]

[The fighters are wrapped up clinching. Parker-Kane pushes away L-Mo, trying to keep the fight at striking range. L-Mo doesn't want to break the clinch as she still is grappling with Jordan Parker-Kane. Spidey clumsily fails here and it's time for Lauren Moore to fight back! L-Mo gets double underhooks and looks for the takedown. L-Mo blocks Jordan Parker-Kane's knee and hits a perfectly executed knee tap! Nice move! Lauren Moore is in closed guard over Spidey. Spidey throws his legs up in a triangle attempt! Moore realizes the danger and stands up to avoid the attack. Lauren Moore is on her feet again. L-Mo moves backwards and gestures for Jordan Parker-Kane to stand up. Back to the beginning! Jordan Parker-Kane is standing now. Spidey looks to be in very good shape. Spidey decides to launch some tentative punches. Parker-Kane takes the best of a brief punching exchange.]

Moore tries to take the action to her favorite field as she tries to grapple. Jordan Parker-Kane swings and L-Mo has to retreat. Jordan Parker-Kane leans forwards and tries to grapple with L-Mo. Spidey shows his clinching skills. Both fighters are clinching now. Spidey gets himself into good position and looks to change levels for the takedown, but Moore doesn't let Parker-Kane get in on her legs. Spidey misses a step and Moore sees an opportunity to counter him! L-Mo fakes a punch and shoots a takedown! Parker-Kane didn't see it coming and has been put on the ground! Lauren Moore is in open guard over Spidey. Parker-Kane is cooling the fight on the ground. L-Mo tries to improve position. Spidey adjusts and closes guard.]

Interesting maneuver. L-Mo pulls her arm out of danger. Spidey tries to roll on the ground! Nice reversal! He is now in full mount over Lauren Moore! Spidey tries to keep his position while looking to maybe begin a GnP session. Parker-Kane controls the situation despite Moore’s efforts for escaping from the full mount. Jordan Parker-Kane sits high on Moore's chest and pulls his leg underneath L-Mo's head.]

[L-Mo tries to roll out. She's too quick for Parker-Kane and manages to slip out! That was a risky move by Spidey and it cost him top position. Moore is in closed guard over Spidey, not a desirable position for him. Moore is well known for her strong and relentless GnP. Moore tries to pass Jordan Parker-Kane's guard. Moore passes momentarily but Parker-Kane regains full guard. The buzzer sounds and the ref stops the action. The round is over.]

L-Mo breaks the lock and launches herself over Jordan Parker-Kane, getting side mount! Spidey’s cornermen are yelling for their man to escape from the ground as L-Mo can finish a fight on the ground with some good pounding if you give her the chance. L-Mo positions herself for a round of ground and pound and tries to finish the fight with some precise elbows! One, two, three! Spidey's being punished here! Moore is in side mount over Jordan Parker-Kane now. BJJ! That is what must be passing through L-Mo's mind right now. Nobody wants to stay long in that position with a submission artist like Spidey. Jordan Parker-Kane launches a few punches to L-Mo's cheek from the guard. Those punches sure are annoying because L-Mo tries to cover her face.]

[L-Mo struggles to free herself. JPK can't lock it up. Moore spins out and gets back to her feet. Both fighters have climbed to their feet and they continue the fight standing. L-Mo fakes a punch and shoots a takedown! Parker-Kane didn't see it coming and has been put on the ground! Good looking punches from Lauren Moore on the ground, but they’re now being deflected by Spidey. L-Mo is trying to better her position on the ground and launches a couple of elbows against Spidey's ribs. Spidey blocks Moore's moves and tries to reverse the situation. Spidey throws his legs up in a triangle attempt! That Triangle Armbar from Parker-Kane appears to be unbreakable! L-Mo struggles to free herself! That Triangle Armbar looks tight! Moore realizes the danger and stands up to avoid the attack. Jordan Ripley halts the fight to stand up Jordan Parker-Kane. The fight resumes with both fighters standing.]

[Spidey tries to grapple and puts L-Mo in a double underhook! Spidey doesn't want to clinch as he ducks under Moore and tries to move away. Moore pushes Spidey forward and doesn't allow him to break the clinch. Spidey clumsily fails here and it's time for Lauren Moore to fight back! L-Mo tries to dirty box while holding Spidey against cage. Spidey is unable to defend himself and receives some punches in the ribs. Spidey pushes off of Lauren Moore and starts launching a flurry of hooks and body shots! L-Mo stumbles backwards but Parker-Kane chases her and continues the rain of blows! L-Mo's Right eye is beginning to swell! Moore pushes away Spidey trying to keep the fight at striking range. Spidey doesn't want to break the clinch as he still is grappling with Lauren Moore. Spidey is throwing a flurry of punches! Moore just can't get away! L-Mo has a small cut in her right cheek. Spidey tries to dirty box while holding L-Mo against cage now. L-Mo is unable to defend herself and receives some punches in the ribs. Hard blow to L-Mo's mid-section, she seems hurt. Parker-Kane tries to shrug his way out of the clinch. Spidey circles out and slips free of Moore's grip. Nice job of getting out of that position. The referee separates the fighters as the buzzer sounds.]

[“Amazing” by Kanye West thumps over the loudspeaker and Nathan Lucas emerges to the stage wearing his black and neon green walkout fight kit with crew members from his camp following behind. Lucas has a stone cold look on his face as he slowly prowls down the aisle. He makes it to cageside where he is checked up by the fight official. Once he’s cleared, he races up the steps and jogs around the cage a couple times before staying put in his corner.]

DANTE REED

Set to make his Union GP debut, Nathan Lucas returns to the octagon after being away for some time. He went into the world of professional wrestling and had a quite successful run. But now he’s back and ready to prove to the world that he still has what it takes!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This guy is an amazing wrestler who can control the pace of the fight with his grappling. He can wear down his opponents on the ground, or he can stick to his excellent counter striking game standing up. His submission defense is pretty suspect and can sometimes get too aggressive, leaving himself open to some dangerous spots.

SGORI BY STVORE BEGINS TO PLAY

[The heavy opening riff of STVORE’s Sgori (Burn) starts up on the sound system and Viktor Volkov steps out from behind the curtain. His eyes fixated on the cage, Volkov slowly begins to roll his shoulders whilst he walks. With his usual stoic expression etched upon his face, Viktor continues walking, completely unphased by the occasion, cracking his knuckles through his gloves and swinging his arms a couple of times before reaching cageside.]

[He calmly removes his Reebok branded tee, handing it off to a team member before bumping the fist of several other team members around him. Eventually his head trainer stops up in front of him, squirting some water in Volkov's mouth before handing him his black mouth guard, adorned with the image of the grim reaper. The big Russian pops it into his mouth before the cutman goes to work, carefully placing vaseline across each brow, then rubbing it into his cheeks, nose and forehead area. The cutman then nods to Volkov, who turns, brushing by him as he makes his way up the steps and into the cage.]

[Viktor takes a quick lap around the cage, breaking into a light jog before he settles back into his corner, intimidatingly beginning to pace back and forth as his music slowly dies down.]

Another big name that Union GP was lucky enough to sign, former 2012 Olympic Boxer Viktor Volkov makes his debut in UGP tonight. He’s a very methodical fighter and someone who doesn’t buy into the trash talk element of this sport most of the time.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Whether that’s due to a language barrier or not is another question though. Volkov is a tremendous striker with scary knockout power. However, he’s not someone who utilized his kicks all too often, leaving him a bit one dimensional at times. He can also get too aggressive, and will walk through an opponent’s offense, eating punches rather than trying to defend himself.

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the main event of the evening! The following bout is scheduled for five rounds in the UGP Junior Heavyweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Wrestler with a record of 0-0. He stands a 6’2” and weighing in at 225 pounds. He is from Chicago, Illinois, fighting out of HILITE Fighting Club, he is Nathan Lucas!

[Lucas steps out from the corner and raises a fist in the air before going back to bouncing in place.]

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Boxer with a record of 0-0. He stands 6’5” and weighing in at 225 pounds. From Saint Petersburg, Russia, fighting out of Volkov Fighting Institute, he is “The Last Tsar” Viktor Volkov!

[Volkov steps out from his corner and raises both arms in the air with an emotionless straight face.]

Listen to this crowd, Dante! I can’t even hear myself think! 71% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Viktor Volkov walks out of here with the win tonight.

[Both fighters close the distance and meet in the center of the octagon. Viktor Volkov and Nathan Lucas touch gloves to get this fight started! Volkov and Lucas bounce around, looking for angles for a bit. Then Lucas rushes in and launches a couples of jabs and then a big hook! The Last Tsar blocks the jabs but the last punch hits hard on Volkov's temple! The Last Tsar stumbles and then crumbles to the mat! Lucas pounces on top and lands three clean hammer fists before Whittaker tackles him off to stop the fight!]

Doctors tend to Volkov for a moment before helping him back up to his feet. After doctors and cutmen finish their work, the two fighters meet in the middle of the octagon for the official call.]
