BOARDWALK HALL

ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY

OCTOBER 27, 2018

[After the opening intro video finishes up, we fade into the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey which is packed with 10,750 fans in attendance. The crowd is on their feet cheering in anticipation for the night’s bouts. Camera angles pan around from one point to another, catching fans, athletes, and celebrities in attendance. We then transition to meet Dante Reed, Warhead Williams, and Toussaint Harper standing cageside.]

DANTE REED
Welcome ladies and gentlemen, we are live on the Battleground Network at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City and this is UGP #4! I am Dante Reed and alongside me is MMA icon Warren "Warhead" Williams and also the mastermind of MMA, Toussaint Harper!  Harpy is with us tonight as this will be my last broadcast for Union GP. I feel that the job as President of this company deserves my upmost attention, and I wanted to pass the torch to someone who was more than qualified, and also someone who wouldn't deactivate their social media.

TOUSSAINT HARPER
It's a big honor to be standing with you guys here tonight, I won't let you down, boss!

DANTE REED

Tonight is a very special night as we finally crown the very first champions of our company. Four monumental fights scheduled with either competitors who have done through hell and back to get to this point.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS
Not only that but we have three undercard fights scheduled with some very promising fighters who may be looking at these titles very soon!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

In the undercard, we have Lauren Moore versus Amedea Rao, Edan McLeod versus Aeron Roberts, and Kenzi Grey versus Hailey McIntyre. I'm hyped to see these three fights alone, but that's just a little sampler!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

After those fights, we move onto the title fights. Our first title fight is between Jordan Parker-Kane and Hanako Takeuchi for the Lightweight Championship. An aggressive offensive striker versus a methodical defensive grappler; it's a clash of styles and I'm looking forward to it!

DANTE REED

After that is the fight for the Cruiserweight Championship as Daniel Fisk takes on Seth Daniels! This has been one of the most talked about fights leading up to this night, and with good reason, Daniel Fisk has come home to Jersey and his in the biggest fight he's had in 428 days!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

And then our Headliner is a rematch between Jeremiah Ford and Cristian Bonanno for the Middleweight Championship. Bonanno has been on an absolute destructive path to get to this point, which includes Ford! Big question in this one is how will Jeremiah hold up this go round?

TOUSSAINT HARPER

And then our Main Event of the evening, the Heavyweight Championship Title fight rematch between Derrick La'Bell and Ferdinand Diao. This is a similar story to Bonanno/Ford in that La'Bell has defeated Diao once already and has been completely dominant to get to this fight. Can Diao avenge his loss or will La'Bell hoist the title above his head at the end of the night at 4-0?

DANTE REED

And that's what we got lined up for you all tonight, folks. So without further ado, let's kickoff UGP #4!

UGP4_Moore-vs-Rao.png

MY LIFE TRAPPED IN BETWEEN

A WHISPER AND A SCREAM

A SUICIDE MACHINE OF MY OWN MAKING

["Painless" by Fozzy shreds over the loudspeaker and Amedea Rao emerges to the stage wearing her red and white walkout fight kit with crew members from her camp following behind. Rao burrows her head down while slowly walking down the aisle. She makes it to cageside where she is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, she climbs up the steps and calmly takes her place in her corner.]

DANTE REED

Coming to the cage now to kick this night into gear is “ShatterStar” Amedea Rao. Rao debuted at Boss Fight #1 with a loss to Hailey McIntyre. In that fight, Rao showed some promising things but fell victim to Hailey’s elite submission skills.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

She got caught with a kneebar deep in the final round. She showed that she can handle going the distance, she just needs to better protect herself on the ground.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

And it’s a big test for her tonight in that regard. Lauren Moore is an exceptional wrestler who works very well on the ground. If Rao plans to win this fight tonight, she needs to keep persistent in her attacks. She cannot allow Moore to work any sort of offense, especially on the ground.

CALIFORNIA LOVE!

["California Love" by Tupac ft. Dr. Dre bumps over the loudspeaker and Lauren Moore emerges to the stage wearing her pink and black walkout fight kit with crew members from her camp following behind. Moore can’t help but flash her signature smile as she slowly trots down the aisle. She makes it to cageside where she is checked up by the fight official. Once she’s cleared, she races up the steps and jogs around the cage a couple times before staying put in her corner.]

DANTE REED

And now the Real Killas MMA product, “L-Mo” makes her way to the octagon. Like Rao, Moore lost in her UGP debut against Jordan Parker-Kane, who happens to be fighting for the Lightweight Championship tonight. Moore went the distance with JPK, but unfortunately lost via a split decision.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Tough break for the Cali girl. There were some criticisms on the judging of that fight, but any fighter will tell you to not leave it in the judge’s hands. She’s had some time since then to focus in her training camp and continue to improve her skills all around.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

And she’s going to need to keep that in the back of her mind. Her opponent, Amedea Rao, is a solid all-round fighter. She doesn’t necessarily excel at any one particular aspect, but she can more than hold her own on any level of the fight. In order for Moore to win, I think she needs to take what Rao is giving her and try to keep her in control.

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, we are live exclusively on the Battleground Network here at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey for UGP #4! And now, this opening fight is scheduled for three rounds in the UGP Lightweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a wrestler and Muay Thai Kickboxer with a record of 0-1. [Amedea Rao glares at her opponent from the opposite corner as she paces back and forth in her corner while raising a fist in the air to the cheering crowd.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And her opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Wrestler and disciplined BJJ artist with a record of 0-1. She stands at 5’7” and weighing in at 135 pounds. She is from Irvine, California, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, she is “L-Mo” Lauren Moore!

[Lauren Moore shifts back and forth then steps out from the corner and raises a fist in the air before going back to bouncing in place. She is calm in her corner. She looks confident of her abilities.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Listen to the crowd here tonight! They are ready for this night to finally get rolling! 71% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Lauren Moore walks out victorious.

DANTE REED

It should certainly be an exciting opening bout. The referee for this bout is Jordan Ripley and he’s calling for the fight, and this one is underway!

Good work by Rao freeing that leg and moving to a better position.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

You can hear the excitement from the crowd. Lauren Moore can end the fight with her stellar ground and pound.

[Moore continues the attack on Rao’s ribs, leaving Rao unable to work any offense on top. Moore now showcases her wrestling skills and tries to escape, but Amedea pushes her back down. Moore tries again, but gets denied once more. Rao now sees an opening and isolates Moore's arm and neck, looking for an arm triangle. Moore is able to relieve the pressure on her neck and slips out of the hold.]

[Rao misses a step and Moore sees an opportunity to counter her! Lauren unleashed a flurry of punches on Amedea’s ribs, and she looks to be in serious pain. Amedea Rao is still in full mount but doesn't want to continue the fight in this position and gets back on her feet. Jordan Ripley halts the fight to stand up Lauren Moore. The fight resumes with both fighters standing.]

[Lauren Moore fakes a punch and launches over Rao and wraps her opponent under a troublesome thai clinch. Lauren Moore shuffles around with Amedea Rao and then hits an outer leg sweep! Nice takedown,  Lauren Moore comes down in side mount over Amedea Rao. Moore moves to better her position on the ground. Lauren Moore viciously and suddenly drops hammer fists to Rao's face!]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Lauren Moore looks like she wants to finish her opponent on the ground!

[Moore drills Rao's face with a huge right hand! What an impact! Rao's Nose is beginning to swell and there is a small cut across the bridge. Moore winds back and delivers another huge right hand! Moore delivers a few accurate elbows! Rao is being pummeled and tries to escape! She has to give her back! Jordan Ripley is asking Rao to defend herself! Lauren Moore is mercilessly dropping bombs left and right and Rao looks in serious trouble! Jordan Ripley jumps in between the fighters and stops the punishment for Rao!]

DANTE REED

That’s it! This one’s over!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Lauren Moore finishes this fight in spectacular fashion with a flurry of brutal elbows!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Moore looked like a woman possessed out there! No stopping her tonight!

[The crowd explodes as Moore celebrates with her corner. Doctors tend to Rao for a moment before helping her back up to her feet. After doctors and cutmen finish their work, the two fighters meet in the middle of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

A great performance by Lauren Moore tonight. She read the fight well and wasn't afraid of engaging.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Just the fight the people at Boardwalk Hall want to see here to kick things off! The crowd is loving it!

DANTE REED

I’d have to say Amedea Rao had a nightmare here tonight. This one is going to sting.

IN THE CROWD

[We get crowd shots of one of the upper tiers in Boardwalk Hall. Many of the fans are Japanese, but these aren't the ones who picked up after themselves during the last World Cup. They're definitely not the traditional ones who sit in silence at puroresu shows. There's a good number of leather jackets and a few mohawks. We can see the noticeable black and red striped scarves hung on some of their necks. It's the infamous K-Squad Punks – Kansai region punk rockers who've caused hell in Death Trip Wrestling, Iron Japan, KAMIKAZE Pro Evolution, Maximum Japan, and Rose City Wrestling.

This crew loves a good banner and they brought some of their usual ones: “K-SQUAD PUNKS,” “FROM KANSAI TO CANCUN – MARCH 2018,” and “KSP TIJUANA PUB CRAWL 2018.” There's a new one for their Atlantic City trip: “DOWN ON THE BOARDWALK THEY'RE GETTIN' READY FOR A FIGHT – OCTOBER 2018,” referencing a Bruce Springsteen song. Biggie Smalls is referenced in “KICK IN THE DOOR WAVING THE 44” - a banner for Daniel Fisk. Of course, the mostly Osaka contingent has one for their hometown hero – a black banner that simply reads “HANAKO” with “HANA” in white and “KO” in yellow, all in the colors of Kansai's beloved Hanshin Tigers baseball team.

Among the merry band of hard-drinking yobs is someone who grew up in their wild scene before becoming famous. It's the man of Punk Rock Ultraviolence, Masatake Kawamata...]

DANTE REED

It's always great to see some of the biggest names here in our events. Looking here, we see the infamous K-Punk Squad! And right there we see Masatake Kawamate who is the current Independent Deathmatch World Heavyweight Champion, Union Battleground Battalion Champion, and three-time tournament winner. They are big supporters of Real Killas MMA and they don't shy away about it.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

These guys are like a rugby scrum filled with barbed wire and thumbtacks! Great to see them out here!

IRIDIUM BY THE SIDH

BEGINS TO PLAY

["Iridium" by The Sidh blasts through the arena. The Scottish fighter comes out from the back with his corner following behind him. Edan bounces in place with his blue and gold fight kit on. Edan has a cool and calm swagger in his step. His collected face doesn't break as he makes his way to the cage.]

[Edan takes his tracksuit off and hands it to his coach. He hugs each member of the camp, then turns to the official. He closes his eyes as he gets checked. He opens his mouth to show his mouth guard. The official gives him the go-ahead and Edan darts up the steps. He turns to the crowd and flexes for them. Edan keeps flexing as he circles the canvas. He stops in his corner, does some fancy footwork and throws some loose strikes. He then begins to pace from side to side until the fight begins.]

DANTE REED

Coming out now is a man that had one helluva debut win at Boss Fight #1, the Scottish born Edan McLeod! McLeod completely destroyed his opponent en route to a second round victory, and the fans have been clambering to see more of McLeod.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

They don’t call him “The Natural” for nothing. Edan looked like he was effortlessly throwing bombs left and right uncontested in that fight and it earned him a Performance of the Night bonus as a result. I think we can expect to see a similar high powered offense from McLeod tonight. This guy’s cardio is off the charts!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

It seems like he never gets tired, and It’d be wise for Edan, who’s opponent tonight has shown to be a suffocating ground fighter, to keep that high intensity wide open. If he can keep the fight standing up, he’s got a damn good chance to walking away 2-0!

ON TO BATTLE

HERE WE ARE THE HUNTERS

RED AS FIRE

CRIMSON BOW AND ARROW

["Crimson Bow And Arrow" by Epica blasts over the loudspeaker and “The Demon Queen” Aeron Roberts emerges to the stage wearing her ice blue and white walkout fight kit with crew members from her camp following behind. Roberts burrows her head down while slowly walking down the ramp. She makes it to cageside where she is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, she climbs up the steps and calmly takes her place in her corner.]

DANTE REED

And now coming to the octagon is a tough fighter who’s been down on their luck. I’m sure Aeron Roberts would have liked to see things go differently in the Middleweight Round Robin series, but she came up short a few too many times.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Roberts is a lot better fighter than her record indicates. If you look at her fights throughout the round robin, two fights went to a judge’s decision, and her in against Kira Izumi went deep in the final round. She has shown she has tremendous resilience and toughness, but being just 19 years of age, there’s still a lot of learning to do.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

No doubt this round robin has been a torturous event, but I’m sure she has taken a lot away from it. Tonight it’s her time to try and climb back up the ranks. Her biggest keys to victory tonight is to keep out of Edan’s striking range. Stay close and work the takedowns and ground game. If she can manage that, she has a real good chance of coming out of this one victorious.

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for three rounds in the UGP Middleweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Boxer with a record of 1-0. He stands at 6’1” and weighing in at 185 pounds. He is from Froghall, Aberdeen, Scotland, fighting out of The Factory, he is “The Natural” Edan McLeod!

[Edan raises an arm to the cheering crowd, then goes back to shadow boxing. He looks calm but knows he has a tough fight coming up.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a wrestler with a record of 1-3. She stands at 5’9” and weighing in at 178 pounds. She is from Wrexham, Wales, she is “The Demon Queen" Aeron Roberts!

[Aeron Roberts looks calm but knows she has a tough fight coming up. She steps out from the corner and raises a fist in the air before going back to bouncing in place. A ferocious staredown by Roberts while Dusty Whittaker recites the rules.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

In this bout, one fighter has an exuberant amount of potential ahead of him, while the other one is at a crossroads. 61% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Edan McLeod walks out victorious.

DANTE REED

He’s certainly been a hot topic after his big debut win, we’ll have to see in a few moments if he continues that trend. The referee of the bout is Dusty Whittaker. He checks off with each fighter one last time and calls for the fight! And here we go!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

[Edan McLeod and Aeron Roberts touch gloves in the center to get this fight started! Roberts fakes a punch and quickly shoots a takedown! After a while of nothing doing, Dusty Whittaker stands the fighters up due to a lack of activity. Both fighters continue the fight on their feet. You can hear how the people agree with that decision.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Surprised to see McLeod work in some submissions on the ground here.

DANTE REED

I think his ground game gets overlooked by his phenomenal stand up game. He can roll with the best of them, make no mistake.

[Roberts decides to launch some tentative punches and McLeod takes the best of a brief punching exchange. McLeod fires back and throws a one-two combo then fakes a move to fire a big right hand on the chin! The strikes hit home! Roberts reveals a small cut in her chin. Roberts backs away from further danger while studying her opponent, looking for a hole in his defense. Finally, Aeron charges in with a single leg and takes McLeod down to the mat! Roberts lost her dominant position and now McLeod is in open guard over Roberts. Roberts switches to high guard just before trying to sink a triangle! McLeod struggles and his head turns red from the choke, but he manages to slip his head of the lock!]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Roberts nearly had him with that triangle choke. Edan McLeod is looking to counter now!

[McLeod moves on the ground and gets a half guard. Roberts tries to roll to improve her positioning but McLeod denies her any chance. Roberts then sees an opening and reaches under and rolls for a kneebar! McLeod quickly slips out and uses the opportunity to seize half guard. The Demon Queen fires back in with a single leg, but McLeod sprawls back and keeps his footing. McLeod is trying to counter now! Roberts tries to keep the pressure on with a bunch of leg kicks, but McLeod easily defends them. Roberts feints a move and shoots in with a battering single leg and takes Edan to the mat!]

[Aeron Roberts is in side mount over Edan McLeod and Roberts goes for an Americana! McLeod rolls into it and breaks free. Roberts keeps the pressure on and isolates McLeod's arm and neck looking for an arm triangle. Edan McLeod stays calm and is able to relieve the pressure on his neck and slip out of the hold and manages to switch Roberts to a closed guard. McLeod tries to roll on the ground! Nice reversal! He is now in full mount over Aeron Roberts!]

[Roberts tries to move on the ground and escape from the full mount but McLeod doesn't want to lose his position and he struggles to maintain the full mount. McLeod fakes a few punches and after a brief struggle he catches Roberts' arm and tries an armbar! Roberts hold her own hand and breaks McLeod's lock. She rolls over herself and launches over Edan McLeod, quickly getting to her feet! Roberts steps backwards and lowers her arms while breathing heavily. Just as Edan gets to his feet, the referee separates the fighters as the buzzer sounds.]

DANTE REED

Pretty interesting opening round there! Who you got Harpy?

TOUSSAINT HARPER

I think Roberts controlled the fight really well. I think she did enough to earn the points, but she looks pretty gassed and McLeod looks like he’s just getting started.

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[After the first round break, both fighters creep towards the center of the octagon. Aeron Roberts fires in with a combo but McLeod ducks under and catches her with a counter straight! Roberts swings again, only to get countered once more! Roberts is looking bad here! McLeod looks for angles as he throws a few jabs that are countered by Roberts' punches. Roberts is on the receiving end of a great combo by McLeod. Roberts switching gears and shoots in with another single leg and takes McLeod down to the mat hard! Roberts tries to jump to side mount. Edan McLeod jumps and show some wrestling skills as he positions himself for continuing the fight in side control. Aeron Roberts slides her legs high and tries to apply a triangle! McLeod cuts to the side and manages to pass to side mount! McLeod tries to escape from closed guard while struggling to free his leg and jumps to half guard!]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Props to Aeron Roberts coming out firing away and getting the takedown! But now McLeod looks to have taken control.

[Edan McLeod is in half guard over Roberts, and Roberts attempts a triangle from bottom! Edan McLeod slips out. Roberts quickly turns her hips over and switches to the armbar! She’s throwing everything at him. Edan slips out and backs away to avoid danger. Dusty Whittaker halts the fight to stand up Aeron Roberts. The fight resumes with both fighters standing and the crowd cheers them on.]

[As the fighters get closer, Roberts jumps over her opponent and tries to close a flying triangle! McLeod sprawls and leaps forward, launching his opponent against the mat. Roberts springs back to her feet and jumps and scissors Edan McLeod's left leg in a flying heel hook attempt! Edan McLeod's heel hook defense is spot on and avoids the audacious attempt. He stands up while Aeron Roberts remains on the ground. Roberts tries to get back on her feet but McLeod keeps the pressure on her. After a while, Edan McLeod decides to step back and allow Roberts to get back to her feet. Edan doesn’t even let Roberts to fully compose herself on her feet as a throws a surprise spinning back fist and it looks like Roberts was hit by a bus! Roberts stumbles back before quickly shooting in for a takedown, but McLeod is on top of it with a textbook sprawl.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Aeron Roberts is throwing the book at Edan McLeod on the highly skilled submissions, but Edan has been able to narrowly evade them. Great work by Roberts, keeping McLeod on his toes!

[Both fighters circle around, and Roberts goes with a looping right hand while McLeod jumps back and jabs. Roberts looks staggered and McLeod runs to capitalize with a bunch of jabs and crosses. Roberts tries to bear hug McLeod but he shuffles his way out. Edan comes firing in with a pulverizing punch to Roberts’ head! McLeod launches a kick to Roberts' thigh and the impact echoes throughout the building! McLeod fires again, and again! He looks like he’s toying with Roberts now!]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Edan McLeod was tooling Aeron Roberts for the whole fight. I don't know if it's because Aeron Roberts lack of fighting spirit or just of skill.

[McLeod continues with the kicks and Roberts looks lost out there! Finally, McLeod steps back and allows Roberts to get back to her feet. As the fighters dance around the octagon, McLeod fires off an incredible haymaker! You can see Roberts' head being snapped backwards! WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This round is for McLeod, who walks back to his corner with a certain swagger now.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Roberts started off guns blazing in the second round, but McLeod quickly turned the tides and made Roberts look completely lost in this fight.

DANTE REED

McLeod’s cardio is amazing out there. He still looks fresh while Roberts looked very sloppy towards the end of the round. I think she’s going to have to pull some desperation moves in this final round if she wants to win this one.

=========================================

ROUND THREE

=========================================

[The fighters close the distance as the final round commences, and Roberts looks drained. As they get within striking distance, Aeron fires off another takedown but McLeod is easily able to stuff it. Roberts tries to throw a combo, but McLeod ducks under and catches her with a counter straight! Roberts swings again, only to get countered once more! Roberts is looking bad here!]

Roberts seems a bit groggy and her movements are not very coordinated now. McLeod fires off another leg kick and at this point looks to pity Roberts as he backs off and allows her to get back to her feet.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Roberts' face is covered in blood. She may be having problems seeing as she wipes the blood out of her eyes.

[Aeron Roberts takes a few seconds to recover her breath. McLeod shows off his boxing skills with a beautiful one-two combo and those punches are landing clean. Roberts seems hurt! She stumbles backwards and she's an easy target for Edan McLeod now! Edan McLeod comes barrelling in with a flurry of punches and Roberts is in a world of hurt! Roberts stumbles back but Edan doesn’t let off, continuing to fire off uncontested strikes! McLeod has Roberts backed up into the fence and continues to rain down devastating strikes! And it’s all over! Edan McLeod finishes this one off with a brutalizing combination of strikes and Aeron Roberts was eating every one of them!

Another impressive finish for The Natural! This guy is a striking machine, there’s no letting up with him!

DANTE REED

Another brilliant performance by Edan McLeod. This guy is surely showing off his skills!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

He’s definitely made his case in his first two fights that he intends to contend for a title in the Middleweight Division. I think it may happen sooner than we think if he keeps it up.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

No doubt he showed superb  technique and knowledge in there. If he keeps this up, he could be called up to the title discussion. This crowd here loves the guy!

IN THE CROWD

[As we await for the next fight to begin, the cameras pan through to crowd and spot wrestling star James Raven.]

DANTE REED

Looks like we have another MMA gym owner in the house tonight, HILITE Fighting Club's own James Raven!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

You know, he kinda looks a little bit like Seth Daniels...

DANTE REED

You think? I don't see it.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Yeah, maybe you're right. Great guy though!

UGP4_Grey-vs-McIntyre.png

REVENGE!

I’M SCREAMING REVENGE AGAIN

WRONG!

I’VE BEEN WRONG FOR FAR TOO LONG

[“Mouth for War” by Pantera blares over the loudspeaker and Hailey McIntyre emerges to the stage wearing her black and gray walkout fight kit with crew members from her camp following behind. Hailey has a scowling fierce look on her face as she slowly prowls down the aisle. She makes it to cageside where she is checked up by the fight official. Once she’s cleared, she races up the steps and jogs around the cage a couple times before staying out in her corner.]

DANTE REED

Walking to the octagon now is Hailey McIntyre, who is coming off an impressive victory back at Boss Fight #1. She defeated the debuting Amedea Rao by an armbar submission with just fifteen seconds left in the fight and really helped keeping her name high in contention.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Looking back at that fight, she was up on points and that submission was just an added bonus. Tonight, however, she faces a much tougher opponent in Kenzi Grey. Both fighters are looking for a win here tonight.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

In that fight Hailey showed a lot of discipline and determination to her strategy. She was able to use her strengths to capitalize in certain situations, and I think she’ll need to do the same here tonight.

“GIMME YOUR APPLAUSE”

BEGINS TO PLAY

[As “Gimme Your Applause” by Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, & Christina Aguilera plays throughout the arena, Kenzi Grey slowly makes her way out while bouncing to keep warm in her black and gold walkout fight kit. Just behind her, guards and her corner crew follow her lead towards the octagon. Grey doesn’t show much emotion as she makes it to cageside and gets checked by the bout official. Once cleared, she races up the steps and heads straight to her corner, bobbing and weaving along the way.]

DANTE REED

And now Kenzi Grey makes her way out, and she’s coming off a tough loss to Annie Zellor in the Lightweight Championship Tournament.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Kenzi scored a debut victory over the fan favorite Kaelan Laughlin in their tournament play-in bout with a kneebar submission with just seconds left in the fight and completely shocked the world. However her second fight against Annie Zellor saw her fall short in a unanimous decision. She’s looking to get back in the win column here tonight.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Both fighters sit on the .500 mark at 1-1 but come in tonight through different journeys. Sometimes it’s all about momentum when you go into a evenly paired fight like this.

MIKE DEMPSEY

McIntyre is a savvy submission specialist. It's an honor just to watch her work on the ground. She’s so methodical in her approach, staying calm in the most tense situations.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

A lot of ground work from both fighters here. Neither has taken full control but have shown some great technique.

DANTE REED

That round was a toss up. Saw a lot of things but nothing to take a commanding lead on.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

I liked Hailey’s aggressiveness to work a lot of submissions in on the ground. She definitely looked comfortable there.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I think Kenzi’s best bet is to try and keep this fight standing up. She looks faster than McIntyre out there and was able to dodge and block any strikes while working a good counter attack.

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[The second round begins and you can hear the excitement from the crowd. As the fighters meet in the center, Hailey delivers a brilliant combination of strikes yet Kenzi Grey shows some perfect dodging skills,  avoiding the strikes. Kenzi then changes levels and shoots in for a takedown and puts Hailey to the mat and gets to full mount. Kenzi sits high on McIntyre's chest looking for some kind of submission. McIntyre rolls and Kenzi loses her balance.]

That was a risky move and Grey loses the mount. Hailey McIntyre gains top control.

DANTE REED

Another solid round for both fighters. This round is maybe for Hailey McIntyre, I think, but it's close.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

She definitely stayed aggressive, but to me Kenzi landed more shots and I think she took control of the fight by this point.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

I can’t say one way or the other right now. All I know is that you don’t want it to go to the judges when it’s this close. Finish the fight and leave no doubts about it!

You’re welcome.

[Hailey circles around Grey then fakes a move and launches a nice uppercut, but again Grey blocks that and made it look easy! Low kick by Hailey McIntyre to maintain her distance. McIntyre fails here and it's time for Kenzi to fight back! Grey is not showing a great technique with that low kick. That one finds McIntyre's thigh. Hailey then fires back with a nice jab that nearly tags Grey. The referee separates the fighters as the buzzer sounds.]

DANTE REED

And that’s the fight! I think this one goes to Kenzi. What do you guys think?

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Kenzi was able to counter any striking attempts from Hailey, especially in the second and third rounds. Hailey came out looking good in the first, but to me she waned as the fight went on.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I agree with you Harpy. There were several moments that started early in the second round that we saw Hailey gasping for air, and I think her performance suffered from it. Kenzi definitely looked to be in a better shape for this one

[After both fighters compose themselves in there corners for a few moments, they head back towards the middle of the octagon for the final decision.]

Wow, they gave this fight to Hailey!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

What?! What fight were they watching? Look at the stats right here. Kenzi completely dominated the striking and takedown categories and if you watched this fight, she left McIntyre hitting nothing but air!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Controversial decision here, no doubt. This one is gonna have those hardcore fans explode on social media! Looking at the stats provided here, I don’t see how they could have scored it any other way except for Kenzi. She got robbed here, but as I said earlier, you should never leave it to the judges, and this is why!

DANTE REED

Coming out first in this title fight is Houston’s own Jordan Parker-Kane. Jordan has been a stellar defensive fighter in this tournament that has led him here tonight.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Big wins over Lauren Moore and Annie Zellor using his technical ground game. He’ll need that and more tonight.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Parker-Kane has been a methodical defensive fighter, using his opponent’s momentum against them. This is without a doubt his biggest obstacle he has faced so far, but it comes with the ultimate prize at stake!

DANTE REED

And now the knockout artist known as The Black Rose, Hanako Takeuchi is looking to continue her warpath onto a title victory.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

She has been on fire as of late, not just in Union GP, but in the professional wrestling realm as well. Some have criticized her scheduling lately, but with two powerful knockout victories, who really has a leg to stand on to judge her?

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Her aggressiveness is what got her here, and she’s going to need to keep that pace up. But she needs to be careful because JPK feeds off of that. If she can keep the fight standing up and in her striking range to work her reach advantage to her favor, she’ll be in good shape.

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following is scheduled for five rounds for the Union GP Lightweight Championship! [Hanako Takeuchi is beating herself up in the corner before the fight begins, smacking herself in the face, body and legs to get ready for his scrap, She looks ready for war.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

This is a perfect matchup of cat and mouse. Hanako has been making headlines with her knockout finishes leading up to this title fight. JPK has been a stellar defensive fighter who works best with his counter strikes. Can Hanako land another devastating blow to capture the title, or will JPK bait her in and trap her at her own game? 59% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Hanako Takeuchi walks out victorious.

DANTE REED

And she’s got the support of the K-Punk Squad in attendance! Alright ladies and gentlemen, the referee of this championship bout is Jordan Ripley. He checks off with each fighter one last time and calls for the fight! And here we go!

DANTE REED

Great counter from Hanako to take a top side mount over Jordan!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

We’re finally getting to see some more of Hanako besides her devastating knockout power in this one.

DANTE REED

Spectacular first round for this championship fight! What did you guys see?

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I liked the fact that Jordan didn’t allow Hanako to utilize her strikes in this one. He kept the pressure on her and stayed close and was able to clinch and work in some of his ground game.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

I think Hanako did exceptionally well on the ground. We really hadn’t seen her in that situation yet, and she was able to hold her own. This round was a toss up but I liked what I saw from both fighters.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I’m at a loss for words here guys. I knew coming in that these two were going to leave it all out there, and they didn’t disappoint one bit!

DANTE REED

Big congratulations to Jordan Parker-Kane for becoming the first Union GP Lightweight Champion. This guy was on his A-game tonight and really kept Hanako guessing.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

You gotta feel for Hanako here right now. After her two dominating KO performances to get here, she comes up short. You could see she did not want to give up and would have rather break her arm than tap out. Gotta give credit to Jordan Ripley who made the right call to stop it and avoid any serious damage.

IN THE CROWD

[As we await for the next fight to begin, the cameras pan through to crowd and spot wrestling icon Kimitsu Zombie.]

DANTE REED

Great to see Kimitsu Zombie in attendance tonight. I've had the pleasure to call all of her matches in Union Battleground. Definitely a workhorse who commands the best from her opposition.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

She's definitely been a focal point in Union Battleground, and in just a few days she will be defending her 4CW North American Championship against Elijah Carlson at 4CW's Fright Night!

DANTE REED

Big match-up there and could potentially steal the show. Those two athletes are definitely in the elite class of the biggest wrestling promotion today!

UGP4_Fisk-vs-Daniels.png

LIGHTS OUT

YOU’RE TALKING TOO LOUD

SO JUST SHUT YOUR MOUTH

WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU NOW

[“Lights Out” by Hollywood Undead blares over the loudspeaker and Seth Daniels pops out of the curtain and onto the stage wearing his green and black walkout fight kit with his crew following behind. As Daniels walks down the ramp, his villainous behavior is gone, only showing a stern and focused look.]

DANTE REED

We’ve spoke before about the fact Seth Daniels has been a silent assassin in this tournament. He has declined interviews and kept relatively quiet over social media, but this fight has been a little different.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

What started out as friendly, almost even respectful acknowledgement between these two, quickly turned sour as Daniels and Fisk went to verbal blows over social media. All of that is in the past now and it’s time to find out who the better man is tonight!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

No doubt this fight has received a lot of attention. Daniels defeated Real Killas MMA fighter Roscoe Robinson in the semifinals to get here, and I don’t think that sat too well with Real Killas Owner Daniel Fisk. Not just that, but the way Daniels brushed them off and downplayed them. We’ll see if the mind games plays any role in this one.

WORD UP, LET ME JUST FUCK WITH YOUR MIND, PLEASE

HEY! HEY YO YO YO, YO! LET ME FUCK UP YOUR MIND

ON TIME, SHOWING, YOU THE, RHYTHM

AS I GET WRECK AND GET RAW

YEAH I BE THE MAN, COMING OFF, THAT BE RAW

IT’S BUSTA RHYMES GIVING YOU MUCH MORE

SO

[House lights dim to black and the spotlights throughout all the arena are blue as voice intro beginning of "Everything Remains Raw" by Busta Rhymes begins to play. The camera cuts to a spotlighted Daniel Fisk grill-facing the camera with a half smirk his mouth guard already set in his mouth with focus in his eyes. He walks forward toward the octagon slapping a few fives on the way but never turning his attention from the cage.]

[Once he reaches the outside he rolls his neck and bobs up and down a little bit and hugs his entire team before getting checked and entering the cage. He walks to the middle of the cage and stands facing his opponent’s side and rotates his wrists. Barely moves, just only rotating his wrists as if loading them up before backing up to his corner.]

DANTE REED

Yesterday at the press conference, Daniel Fisk talked about about his journey through life and how it led him to mixed martial arts. He believes he was destined to do this and says this is all he knows. When you have someone that pours every bit of energy and attention into something like that, you get an icon to the industry.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

It’d be hard to argue that Daniel Fisk isn’t one of, if not, the most recognizable names in this sport. The man has done so much, from fighting, to promoting, to building a camp and spreading his knowledge. He’s a once in a generation type of competitor, and quite frankly it baffles me that this is just his second shot at a championship.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

428 days… That's a number that has been burned in his memory tonight as that was the last time he was in a title fight. Things didn’t go in his favor that night, and now he finally has a chance to redeem himself with a new camp and a new promotion, but with the same determination and intensity!

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following is scheduled for five rounds for the Union GP Cruiserweight Championship! Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Kickboxer with a record of 2-0. He stands 6’2” and weighing in at 225 pounds. From Phoenix, Arizona fighting out of Throne MMA, he is “Your Drug of Choice” Seth Daniels!

[Seth Daniels paces back and forth with a stern focus upon his face. He looks confident of his abilities as he raises a fist in the air to a mixed reaction from the crowd.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Wrestler and Boxer with a record of 2-0. He stands 6’5” and weighing in at 225 pounds. From Long Beach, California by way of Newark, New Jersey, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, he is “.44” Daniel Fisk!

[Fisk steps out from his corner and raises both arms in the air as the crowd cheers him on. He looks at the ground while he does his breathing exercises. He looks like he has been waiting for this fight forever.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

It’s here, it’s finally happening. Daniel Fisk versus Seth Daniels For the Union Grand Prix Cruiserweight Championship! I think there’s little doubt that these to deserve to be here, and now we will find out who will walk out of here as the first champion in this division! 82% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Daniel Fisk walks out victorious with the Cruiserweight Championship in hand!

DANTE REED

No doubt the fans are behind this guy who’s been an icon to this sport. Listen to the crowd here tonight and this is no doubt the house of Daniel Fisk. And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for, it’s time to get this fight started! The referee for this contest is Roy Rivers. He checks off with each fighter one last time and he calls for the bell! And here we go!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

What a fight! I love my job! A superb display of technique and knowledge by Daniel Fisk. This man can sell the PPV all on his own.

DANTE REED

Tough loss for Seth Daniels here tonight. He looked like he was caught off guard a bit and never could get anything going. I’m sure this is just a minor setback for him and he’ll be back in the gym ready to go to work.

UGP4_ITC_PERRY-WALLACE.png

IN THE CROWD

[As we await for the next fight to begin, the cameras pan through to crowd and spot 4CW Owner Perry Wallace.]

DANTE REED

Looks like we have wrestling royalty here tonight. 4CW Owner Perry Wallace is in the house and hopefully enjoying some fights before his big pay-per-view event Fright Night.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

As we mentioned earlier, he's built a world class company that's on it's own level. Fright Night is a big event for the company which has a monumental Warzone of Horros Main event with six of the best competitors going!

DANTE REED

Fans here and at home can catch that event October 31! Don't miss it!

UGP4_Bonanno-vs-Ford.png

THIS IS THE YEAR WHERE HOPE FAILS YOU

THE TEST SUBJECTS RUN THE EXPERIMENTS

AND THE BASTARDS YOU KNOW, IS THE HERO YOU HATE

BUT COHESING IS POSSIBLE IF WE STRIVE

[“Pulse of the Maggots” by Slipknot blasts over the loudspeaker and Jeremiah Ford emerges to the stage wearing his black and yellow walkout fight kit with crew members from her camp following behind. Hailey has a scowling fierce look on her face as she slowly prowls down the aisle. She makes it to cageside where she is checked up by the fight official. Once she’s cleared, she races up the steps and jogs around the cage a couple times before staying out in her corner.]

DANTE REED

Jeremiah Ford is coming out here now and he looks laser focused! This is something he has dreamed about since he began training six years ago!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

We all know he was a two-time All-American at Iowa in his college days, and he’s proven that his grappling and ground work has been at the elite level. However, his one and only loss during this Middleweight round robin has been against the man he faces again tonight.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

We’ll have to see if he changed his strategy up at all with Bonanno. Ford has shown to be a great grappler and ground fighter, but Bonanno is as well and he’s in a class all of his own. I’m not really sure how Ford plans to take this one, if I’m being honest.

WHEN THE LINE FROZE, WHAT DID I SEE

A BAD MOTHERFUCKER STANDING NEXT TO ME

WITH HIS EYES CLOSE, TOLD HE CAN’T SEE

TRYNA FOLLOWS ORDERS, JUST GONE AND BE FREE

[As the opening guitar riff to "Bad Motherfucker" by Machine Gun Kelly rips over the speakers, Cristian Bonanno walks towards the ring with purpose blowing by extended hands reaching out for high fives. Dressed in his black and red walkout fight kit, he matches down to cageside with his corner crew behind. Once he makes it to the cage, the referee checks him to ensure he is fit to fight. Once he’s cleared, Bonanno races up the steps and shadow boxes while he heads to his corner.]

DANTE REED

And now, the killer, Cristian “Uccisore” Bonanno makes his way to the octagon and he looks like a man possessed! He’s another guy who has been quiet in the media, allowing his work to do the talking.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

And it’s said enough! Bonanno has completely dismantled his opposition time and again. I just see if any other way here tonight either.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

No disrespect to Ford, but I agree with you there. Bonanno has finished every fight he’s been in by KO or TKO. However, Jeremiah did go the longest distance with him back at UGP #3, but it was a massacre. Jeremiah was just trying to survive that fight.

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following Headline bout is scheduled for five rounds and its for the Union GP Middleweight Championship! Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Wrestler with a record of 3-1. He stands at 5’7” and weighing in at 180 pounds. He is from Oskaloosa, Iowa, he is Jeremiah “Bullfrog” Ford!

[Jeremiah Ford stays put in his corner. He looks calm but knows he has a tough fight coming up.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a wrestler with a record of 4-0. He stands 6’1” and weighing in at 185 pounds. From Brooklyn, New York fighting out of Throne MMA, he is Cristian “Uccisore” Bonanno!

[Cristian Bonanno looks at the ground while he does his calming exercises. He knows he can not fail this night.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This is it! The rematch! It’s time to see if Jeremiah Ford cannot avenge his lone defeat or if Cristian Bonanno continues his dominating streak and becomes the first Middleweight Champion! 55% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Cristian Bonanno walks out victorious with the strap in hand!

DANTE REED

Cristian Bonanno has been the most dominant fighter we’ve seen in here, in my opinion. 4-0 and shows no signs of slowing down now! And now it’s time to get things started, the referee of the bout is Dusty Whittaker. He checks off with each fighter one last time and calls for the fight! And here we go!

Ford feints a move up high and changes levels to deliver a textbook double leg and Bonanno hits the mat. Bonanno quickly retaliates with a few punches to Ford's cheek from the guard. Those punches sure are annoying because Ford tries to cover his face.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Smart move from Bonanno right here. He gets caught off guard with the takedown but he immediately throws some punches to keep Ford from combo’ing from there.

[Bonanno tries to show some ground skills to move out from the bottom but Ford uses his strength to keep him at a disadvantage. Ford is moving on the ground and Bonanno tries to counter Ford's moves now. Jeremiah Ford looks for a full mount and slides his knee across and gets to it. Jeremiah Ford is in full mount now but Cristian Bonanno tries to roll to his side and trap Jeremiah Ford in his guard. Jeremiah Ford rolls him over and takes his back!]

[Ford is in rear mount and he works on the ground with his fingers over Bonanno's face. He seems to have encountered the eye! What a classless move but Dusty Whittaker didn't see the foul! Bonanno has given his back to Ford who is now trying to get a hook in and eventually succeeds! Cristian Bonanno launches a few punches to Ford's cheek from the guard to keep Jeremiah at bay. Ford keeps one hook in and is trying to get the second one! If he succeed things are going to get very bad for Bonanno. Nicely done! Ford now has two hooks in! The end may be near!]

[Ford tentatively looks for a way to finish his opponent! This is a nightmare for Bonanno!

Ford has one of his arms over Cristian Bonanno's shoulder and is ready for a RNC! The buzzer sounds and Dusty Whittaker separates the fighters as the round concludes. The fighters shake hands as they head back to their corners.]

DANTE REED

Great opening round here and I think Jeremiah Ford may have won this one.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

He definitely won the ground control in my opinion, but Bonanno landed far more strikes and wore Jeremiah out. Definitely a very competitive first round!

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[The second round begins and both fighters close the distance. Some nice shots are thrown by Cristian Bonanno that stun Ford. Ford launches a flurry of counter punches but only manages to land glancing blows. Bonanno goes with a looping right hand while Jeremiah Ford jumps back and jabs. Bonanno only hits air and the subsequent exchange is fruitless. Bonanno fakes a punch and shoots a takedown! Jeremiah Ford didn't see it coming and has been put on the ground!]

[Cristian Bonanno is in open guard and tries to move to full mount. Bonanno succeeds! Ford is using some of his ground skills to escape from this. He pushes Bonanno's knee away and tries to roll! Props are due to Cristian Bonanno, but now you have to wonder where Jeremiah Ford goes from here. He’s lost twice now to Cristian Bonanno, it may be awhile before he can get back into title contention for as long as Bonanno holds that title. Does he stay in the Middleweight Division or does he try to move back down to the Lightweight Division where he initially signed his contract with? YOUR REIGN ON THE TOP WAS SHORT LIKE LEPRECHAUNS

AS I CRUSH SO-CALLED WILLIES, THUGS, AND RAPPER-DONS

GET IN THAT ASS, QUICK FAST, LIKE RAMADAN

IT’S THAT RAP PHENOMENON DON-DADDA

DANTE REED

And now here come Ferdinand Diao. This big and intimidating brute is one of the most humble and quiet guys you’ll ever meet. He always keeps a level head and stays focused at the task at hand.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

That’s a big benefit to have a mind like a steel trap like that. No matter the circumstances or situations, you’re not gonna shake his confidence.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

We’ve seen that to be true since his debut loss to Derrick La’Bell. He went on to knockout the rest of the field to get back to this position for a rematch. I’m excited to finally see this one.

DANTE REED

And now here comes out arguably one of the most dominating fighters in these tournaments and round robins, Derrick La’Bell. This guy has finished every one of his fights in under two minutes by either a KO or TKO.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Tonight it’s a big challenge for him to face a guy he went up against just over a month ago with everything at stake now. I’m sure Diao has studied and improved his game, so we’ll see what he’s got up his sleeve.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

The thing that got Derrick La’Bell here was his patience and deadly accuracy. The guy has sledgehammers for fists and have left zero doubt about the kind of power he packs. He needs to do the same here tonight, stay patient and focused, and once you see an opening, pick it apart until it’s over!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

What an unbelievable finish to an unbelievable night! Ferdinand Diao capped off an incredible victory to earn himself the right to be the very first Heavyweight Champion!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

I’m not gonna press you on it right now Boss, but you have to wonder if there will be an immediate rematch between these two. Both guys are now 1-1 against each other and are clearly at the top of their game.

DANTE REED

They’re not only at the top of their game, but at the top of the division as well. Listen, Derrick La’Bell started his 3-0 streak with Ferdinand Diao at UGP #1 and continued to KO everyone who stepped in front of him. Not a single Heavyweight fight went past the 2 minute mark until tonight. Now both of these guys are 3-1 with a 1-1 split between them, I think it’s obvious that there’s an immediate rematch for the trilogy! I don’t think there’s another heavyweight contender that’s more deserving than La’Bell right now!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Well there you have have it folks! Looks like we will see the trilogy at some point between Diao and La’Bell. But for right now, let Diao enjoy this moment he’s worked so hard to get to. Big congrats to the big man for pulling off a huge upset win.
