PATRICK CARSON

Welcome ladies and gentlemen, we are live on the Battleground Network at the Sudduth Coliseum in Lake Charles, Louisiana and this is Boss Fight IV! I am Patrick Carson and alongside me is the beautiful Nora Bauer! Tonight we have another big lineup in store with debuts and contenders! But before we kick the night into gear, let’s run down the card for the night real quick.

NORA BAUER

Our opening fight we will see the debut of Saffron Harris as she takes on Amedea Rao. Harris is still a rookie in this sport, but definitely has a big following. Rao has had a rough start to her Union GP career, but a winhere tonight will certainly steerher back in the right direction.

PATRICK CARSON

Then we have another debut fighter as Delaney Donovan makes his professional fighting debut against the very tough Lauren Moore. This is a big test for both competitors with a bit of a clash of styles.

NORA BAUER

Then we have two literally big debuts as Amani Crawford and Brock Quarry square off in a Heavyweight fight. Both of these guys are hungry to make a big first impression to begin their climb up the ranks.

PATRICK CARSON

Then we have a Cruiserweight bout between Viktor Volkov and Mad Maxine. Volkov has been very vocal recently, something out of the norm for the Russian Boxer, begging for a fight. His last fight was way back at Boss Fight II, and he made it clear he’s ready for action!

NORA BAUER

And then we have another debut in the Lightweight Division as Zari Aliyah takes on Kenzi Grey. Zari is fighting out of the world renowned Real Killas MMA camp bit has a big test as she faces a top five fighter who is coming off a very controversial loss.

PATRICK CARSON

Then the return of current #1 Lightweight contender Hanako Takeuchi. This is her first fight since her championship loss to Jordan Parker-Kane, so it’s easy to say she’s ready to roll some heads! Her opponent Ellis Belrose matches up well with her, being a striker that relies on her legs, so this one has big potential for a knockout, dragout fight!

NORA BAUER

Then our Headline Fight of the Night, two dominating Middleweights square off with the winner gaining a shot at the title. The Primarch vs The Natural is sure to steal the show!

PATRICK CARSON

And finally our main event tonight is a Cruiserweight bout puttong two men who lost in the semifinals of the championship tournament. Roscoe Robinson and Nathan Lucas square off also with a title shot on he line! It’s a big night ahead of us so without further ado, let’s get this show on the road!

MY LIFE TRAPPED IN BETWEEN

A WHISPER AND A SCREAM

A SUICIDE MACHINE OF MY OWN MAKING

["Painless" by Fozzy shreds over the loudspeaker and Amedea Rao emerges to the stage wearing her red and white walkout fight kit with crew members from her camp following behind. Rao burrows her head down while slowly walking down the aisle. She makes it to cageside where she is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, she climbs up the steps and calmly takes her place in her corner.]

PATRICK CARSON

“The ShatterStar” Amedea Rao has had a tough start to her Union Grand Prix career. She has suffered three straight losses and continues to fight for her first win.

NORA BAUER

She’s been highly competitive in all of her fights, but hasn’t been able to string it all together. Maybe tonight is her night?!

I’LL TAKE YOU TO THE CANDY SHOP

I’LL LET YOU LICK THE LOLLIPOP

GO ‘HEAD GIRL DON’T YOU STOP

KEEP GOING ‘TIL YOU HIT THE SPOT, WHOA

["Candy Shop" by The Baseballs plays over the loudspeaker and Saffron Harris emerges to the stage wearing her purple and white walkout fight kit with crew members from her camp following behind. Harris looks calm and focused, almost cracking a slight grin as she heads down to the cage. She makes it to cageside where she is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, she climbs up the steps and jogs her way over to her corner.]

PATRICK CARSON

And now we are moments away from the debut of Throne MMA fighter Saffron Harris! Harris is still in her rookie tenure as a mixed martial artist, but has certainly gained a following.

NORA BAUER

I’d say her biggest fan is the highly touted professional wrestler and former mixed martial artist Cosmo Cooper! The two of them are great friends who met in CGFC and have established a great working relationship. It never hurts to have this kind of caliber competitor in your corner!

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, we are live exclusively on the Battleground Network here at the Sudduth Coliseum in Lake Charles, Louisiana for Boss Fight #4! And now, this opening fight is scheduled for three rounds in the UGP Lightweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner,  a Wrestler with a Union GP record of 0-3. She stands at 5’7” and weighing in at 130 pounds. She is from Denver, Colorado, she is “ShatterStar” Amedea Rao!

[Amedea Rao glares at her opponent from the opposite corner as she paces back and forth in her corner while raising a fist in the air to the cheering crowd.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And her opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Boxer and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Grappler with a Union GP record of 0-0. She stands at 5’5” and weighing in at 130 pounds. She is from Fayetteville, Arkansas, fighting out of Throne MMA, she is Saffron Harris!

[Saffron Harris looks like she has been waiting for this fight forever. She looks at the ground while she does her breathing exercises.]

NORA BAUER

This is put up or shut up time for Amedea Rao. Three straight losses to begin her tenure here, if she adds another one, I’m not sure she’ll have a job! But our fans here tonight and those watching at home believe she’s going to have to wait for another day. 77% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Saffron Harris walks out with her first win tonight!

PATRICK CARSON

The crowd certainly is behind her here in Louisiana! And now it’s time to get things into gear. The referee for this bout is Herschel Warden and he’s calling for the bell! This fight is underway!

PATRICK CARSON

Saffron Harris is on fire in this opening round! Keeping heavy pressure on her opponent and not giving her much time to strategize!

NORA BAUER

Good offensive strategy to capitalize and keep rolling while her opponent is in a guessing game. Rao better be careful or this could be an early night for her!

[Rao suddenly changes levels and shoots in for a takedown, and Harris loses her balance and gets taken to the mat with Rao in side mount. PATRICK CARSON

That was a pretty even round for the most part. Saffron came out guns blazing early in the round but Rao seemed to start to get her offense going towards the end.

NORA BAUER

I agree with you there, Patrick. Harris was looking dominant in the early minutes and looked like she was going to end it, but Rao showed her determination and pushed through the storm and started to get her own offense going. If I had to nod the nod, though, I’d still have to give this one to Harris.

PATRICK CARSON

Let’s see how things unfold now here in the second!

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[Both fighters close the distance and Rao fires away with several good body shots that land on Harris. Saffron spins around suddenly and her backfist connects flush with Rao's chin! Rao staggers back revealing a small cut on her chin and Harris should try and push forward now and finish this! Harris and Rao circle around the center of the cage. Rao seems a bit groggy, her movements are not very coordinated now. Saffron throws an overhand right that looks like it was capable of destroying a brick wall! BOOM! Harris showcases her clinching skills and ties her opponent up.]

[Both fighters are tied in a clinch. Saffron Harris can’t seem to work anything in the clunch and tries to shrug her way out of the clinch but Rao is now determined to work from the clinch. She pummeled through and managed to retain her position. Harris retaliates and is launching some bone breaking punches to Rao's ribs while in the clinch! Wow, you can see the pain in Amedea Rao's eyes! Rao doesn't want to clinch anymore as she ducks under Harris and tries to move away. Nice move from Rao who put distance between them.]

PATRICK CARSON

Saffron Harris looking sharp in the opening moments of the second round. Getting a solid clinch and working the body.

NORA BAUER

Amedea Rao didn’t look like she wanted to be stuck in that position after those punishing body shots and made a great escape out and gain some distance to regroup.

[Rao circles around Harris. Harris moves to shoot but Amedea Rao delivers a knee that rocks her, revealing a small cut over Saffron’s left eye now! Nice kick. Rao steps backwards trying to find a way to use her advantage now. The two are now at a standstill and eventually Herschel Warden halts the fight to stand up Harris. The fight resumes with both fighters standing. Back to the beginning!]

PATRICK CARSON

Great stand for Harris who didn’t give Rao anything to work with while on the ground!

[Back on their feet, the two step in and exchange wildly, both landing but without much steam behind the shots. Harris moves backwards and Rao is asking her if she came today for fighting or running. Harris sees an opening and launches a good front kick but Amedea Rao blocks it. The buzzer sounds, marking the end of the round. The ref tells the fighters to go to their corner.]

PATRICK CARSON

Another great competitive round here for both fighters, but I have to say that Saffron Harris takes this one again.

NORA BAUER

Even when Harris slipped up and went to the ground, she didn’t allow Rao to get any advantage over her and looked extremely comfortable in that position. One more round to go here, let’s see if either one can make a statement!

=========================================

ROUND THREE

=========================================

Saffron tries for a third time and this time she succeeds! Nice reversal! He is now in full mount over Rao! Saffron Harris tries to finish the fight with an armbar from the top but Rao is smart enough to avoid the submission attempt. Amedea Rao tries follow up and tries to roll on the ground. She makes the reversal!]

PATRICK CARSON

It looks like Amedea Rao has woken up finally in this fight. She’s working in some solid offense and is keeping Harris at bay on the ground.

[Rao is in closed guard over Harris when suddenly Saffron isolates an arm in a kimura attempt! Rao blocks the hold and uses the opportunity to pass Harris' guard. Rao is in half guard over Harris now and she launches a couple of fast knees to Harris' ribs! Great moves by Rao! Harris must do something now if she wants to escape from that position!]

[Saffron Harris attempts to move to full guard but Amedea keeps good control and remains in half guard. Harris slides her legs high and tries to apply a triangle! Rao cuts to the side and manages to pass to side mount! The referee decides to stand up the fighters since there was not much action on the ground. Both fighters have climbed to their feet and they continue the fight standing.]

[As the two circle back to the center, Rao tries to take the fight back to the ground with a single leg takedown. Harris is unable to remain on her feet and falls back down. Rao positions herself for a round of ground and pound and tries to finish the fight with some precise elbows! One, two, three! Harris's being punished here!]

NORA BAUER

Saffron Harris better protect herself better or the referee may step in and stop this fight! Rao is one of those women capable of pounding you into oblivion!

[Rao is in open guard over Harris and she fakes a move and then tries a kneebar! Harris rolls on the ground trying to get free and after a few kicks of her own she escapes! Herschel Warden halts the fight to stand up Amedea Rao. Both fighters continue the fight on their feet and you can hear how the people agree with that decision.]

[Saffron closes in and throws a pulverizing punch but Rao narrowly slips the strike. Rao jumps over her opponent and tries to grapple. Rao pushes her opponent against the fence in a plum position! Harris gets herself into good position and looks to change levels for the takedown. Amedea doesn't let Saffron Harris get in on her legs though. After a stalemate, Herschel Warden sees a lack of activity in the clinch and separates the fighters.]

[Saffron comes back into Rao with an incredible haymaker but it misses by a mile. Good leg kicks thrown by Saffron Harris but Amedea Rao defends with ease. Rao tries to get some advantage now, she fakes a move and launches a nice uppercut and it lands clean on Harris' chin! A follow up right hand from Amedea Rao surprises Harris! The buzzer sounds and Herschel Warden separates the fighters as the round concludes. The fighters shake hands as they head back to their corners.]

PATRICK CARSON

Big final round there, I think Amedea Rao takes this one. She exploded with a big arsenal of different offensive strikes and really left Saffron guessing. But is it enough to earn the victory?

NORA BAUER

She finished strong here, no doubt, but it’ll be interesting to see how the judges scored the first two rounds. I think Harris did enough in the first two rounds to win the decision, but after some of the calls we’ve seen, what do I know? Let’s turn it over Mike Dempsey for the judges decision here.

[After a few minutes of recovering in their corners, both fighters meet back in the center of the octagon for the official decision.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the result of this fight come to a judge’s decision. After three rounds, the judges have scored it 29-28, 29-28, 29-28 for the winner by unanimous decision, Saffron Harris!

[The crowd explodes as Saffron Harris has her hand raised in victory. Both fighters embrace with a handshake and say a few words to each other before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

PATRICK CARSON

And as we suspected, Saffron Harris scores the unanimous decision over Amedea Rao in a great debut victory.

NORA BAUER

Harris showed a lot of diverse attacks in her first Union Grand Prix fight, and that says a lot going up against a well rounded fighter like Amedea Rao. Rao had some absorbing moments and she contributed to the enjoyment for the fans here in the Sudduth Coliseum. But it was the superb display of technique and knowledge by Saffron Harris that won the crowd over!

HER BREATH BEGAN TO SPEAK

AS SHE STOOD RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME

THE COLOUR OF HER EYES

WERE THE COLOUR OF INSANITY

CRUSHED BENEATH HER WAVE

LIKE A SHIP, I COULD NOT REACH THE SHORE

WE’RE ALL JUST DANCERS ON THE DEVIL’S DANCE FLOOR

["Devil’s Dance Floor" by Flogging Molly blasts over the loudspeaker and Delaney Donovan emerges to the stage wearing his Irish inspired walkout fight kit with crew members from his camp following behind. Donovan burrows his head down while slowly walking down the aisle. He makes it to cageside where he is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, he climbs up the steps and calmly takes his place in his corner while shadow boxing along the way.]

PATRICK CARSON

One of the many new Lightweights signed on here in recent weeks is a man that has a ton of potential. Delaney Donovan is just moments away from his first professional MMA fight and believe it or not, this is his first time stepping outside of Ireland!

NORA BAUER

It’s a big stage for him tonight! But he’s been under the tutelage of one of the brightest combat athletes in Carrick Price! Donovan has been training with some of the best in the world in this sport, now it’s time to see if he can execute!

CALIFORNIA LOVE!

["California Love" by Tupac ft. Dr. Dre bumps over the loudspeaker and Lauren Moore emerges to the stage wearing her pink and black walkout fight kit with crew members from her camp following behind. Moore can’t help but flash her signature smile as she slowly trots down the aisle. She makes it to cageside where she is checked up by the fight official. Once she’s cleared, she races up the steps and jogs around the cage a couple times before staying put in her corner.]

PATRICK CARSON

Lauren Moore is coming off a great rebound victory from UGP #4 and is looking to get another one in the “W” column.

NORA BAUER

After her Union Grand Prix debut loss to eventual Lightweight Champion Jordan Parker-Kane by a split decision, she rebounded with a beautiful first round TKO. A win here tonight will surely catapult her up the rankings, and quite possibly put her name in title fight discussions.

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for three rounds in the UGP Lightweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Muay Thai Kickboxer with a Union GP record of 0-0. He stands at 5’9” and weighing in at 155 pounds. He is from Belfast, Northern Ireland, fighting out of MacDougal's Gym, he is “Double D” Delaney Donovan!

[Donovan raises an arm to the cheering crowd, then goes back to shadow boxing. He looks calm but knows he has a tough fight coming up.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Wrestler and disciplined Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Grappler with a Union GP record of 1-1. She stands at 5’7” and weighing in at 135 pounds. She is from Irvine, California, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, she is “L-Mo” Lauren Moore!

[Lauren Moore shifts back and forth then steps out from the corner and raises a fist in the air before going back to bouncing in place. She is calm in her corner. She looks confident of her abilities.]

NORA BAUER

Big fight here for both fighters. Delaney is looking to make a big first impression here in the states on a big stage, while Lauren tries to continue her climb! 72% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Moore walks out with the win tonight!

PATRICK CARSON

The crowd certainly is behind her here in Louisiana! And now it’s time to get things into gear. The referee for this bout is Herschel Warden and he’s calling for the bell! This fight is underway!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[The bell signals the beginning of the opening round and the fight gets underway. Donovan comes in and tries a hook to the body and hits Moore ribs hard. Moore fired back and the two exchange wildly, both landing but without much steam behind the shots. Moore is slowing the pace of the fight a bit and circles around her opponent.]

[Moore wants to take the fight to her advantage and tries to clinch. She moves forward and holds Delaney but he pushes her away trying to keep the fight at striking range. Moore manages to lock in the clinch and doesn't want to give it up. Both fighters are tied in a clinch and Donovan shows no signs of slowing down as he throws a flurry of punches! Moore ducks under and circles out of the corner.]

[Moore is trying to counter now! Lauren attempts to cut off Donovan with punches but he avoids getting cornered. The two exchange wildly with Donovan connecting getting the best of the exchange as he lands a few more blows. Moore backpedals out and tries to regroup but Donovan moves forward looking for some action. Delaney presses on and wraps his opponent in a double overhook!]

PATRICK CARSON

Fast paced action here in the opening frame and these two aren’t shying away from anything!

NORA BAUER

Both of these fighters are working in some great grappling techniques all the while landing some solid strikes!

[Both fighters are tied in a clinch. Donovan is launching some bone breaking punches to Moore's ribs while in the clinch but Moore blocks them to avoid any harm and she looks to counter now! She quickly changes levels and shoots a double leg and takes the fight to the mat!]

[Moore is in open guard over Donovan. He tries to close his guard around Moore but can’t manage to lock it in. Delaney pauses for a moment to catch his breath before he tries a hammer punch to Moore's ribs. That rocks her and causes her to move on the ground in order to protect herself. Donovan tries to close his guard around Moore again and this time he succeeds!]

[Moore is trying to move on the ground… BOOM! That was a headbutt! Herschel Warden saw it! Warden stops the fight and allows Donovan time to recover. The fight resumes with both fighters standing.]

PATRICK CARSON

I don’t think that was a blatant headbutt and Warden didn’t see it that way either as he opted not to dock Moore.

NORA BAUER

Either way, Donovan got clocked pretty good, hopefully it doesn’t affect him.

[Moore and Donovan circle around the center of the cage as they size each other up. Moore lunges in and puts Donovan in a double underhook! Delaney instantly goes back to the ribs and you can see the pain in Lauren’s eyes. Donovan now changes levels and looks for the takedown, but Moore sprawls back and stuffs it. Some nice shots are landing and Moore is trying to block them with her hands. Moore unleashes on Donovan's ribs with a couple of big punches from guard, but Donovan blocks the hits as he continues to work on the ground. Moore continues to attack the body and eventually lands a few clean shots to the ribs and Donovan visibly shows the pain he’s enduring.]

[Moore tries to move on the ground and escape from the full mount, but Delaney doesn't want to lose his position and he struggles to maintain the full mount. Lauren tries to roll to her side and get to half guard. Delaney rolls Lauren to her stomach and takes her back! Donovan is in rear mount over Moore now and he launches a few punches to Moore but she covers herself well. Lauren retaliates with some strikes of her own, keeping Donovan honest in rear mount.]

PATRICK CARSON

Very interesting back and forth on the ground here. This is where Lauren typically feels most comfortable, but Delaney is holding his ground right now.

[Donovan now works to get a hook in, and after a few struggling moments, he gets it in. Donovan has one hook in and is trying to get the second one! If he succeed things are going to get very bad for Moore. Moore uses her leg as leverage and manages to keep herself safe for now. Donovan positions himself for a round of ground and pound and tries to finish the fight with some precise elbows! One, two, three! Moore's being punished here! Donovan’s strikes opens up Lauren for him to try and get a second hook in, but Moore fights back to deny him and manages to keep herself safe for now. Finally the buzzer sounds ending the opening round and the ref stops the action. This round is over.]

PATRICK CARSON

Pretty exciting first round here. We saw a lot of offense for the newcomer Delaney Donovan and surprisingly he was able to keep Lauren Moore in control on the ground.

NORA BAUER

She may be feeling him out, but it was a little surprising to see Donovan succeed so well on the ground against her. Let’s see how she responds here in the second. But you’re right, Delaney Donovan has to be confident that he won that round.

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[Both fighters slowly make their way to the center of the cage as the second round begins. Donovan moves around, looking for some action. He steps in and surprises Moore with a. incredible haymaker! [Both fighters are tied in a clinch and Donovan is firing away with a flurry of punches! Moore just can't get away! Donovan tries to take Moore down... She stumbles backwards and Delaney Donovan launches a few punches with one swing hitting hard on Moore's jaw! Donovan continues in the double underhooks and looks for the takedown. He blocks Moore's knee and hits a perfectly executed knee tap!]

NORA BAUER

PATRICK CARSON

Another solid round for both fighters. We saw some offense out of Moore in this one, but I think this one goes to Donovan.

NORA BAUER

It’s hard to argue that one. Donovan is showcasing some very good ground skills against Moore who normally flourishes under those situations. She needs to take control here in the third, because at this point I believe she’s behind on points.

PATRICK CARSON

Double D looked very impressive in his debut fight here in Union Grand Prix against a very tough opponent. He was able to control all phases of the fight, and didn’t leave any sort of openings for Lauren Moore to counter and capitalize.

NORA BAUER

He looked ready for this fight. His first professional stage and first time outside of Ireland. You know this was a big moment for him and resulted in a big win.

I SEE YOU

I SEE YOU LOOKING AT ME

LOOKING AT ME, SO I ASK

AM I A PSYCHO?

AM I A PSYCHO?

YEAH I’M A PSYCHO

I GUESS I’M A PSYCHO

[As "Am I A Psycho” by Tech N9ne bumps over the loudspeaker, the brutish Amani Crawford slowly steps out to the main stage. He comes out wearing his purple and white walkout fight kit with crew members from his camp following behind. Crawford burrows his head down while slowly marching down the aisle. He makes it to cageside where he is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, he stomps up the steps and calmly takes his place in his corner.]

PATRICK CARSON

One of the several Heavyweight fighters Union GP has signed here recently, Amani Crawford is an absolute beast! No doubt one of the biggest competitors in this slowly growing division, he’s an animal in the cage as well.

NORA BAUER

He lives and breathes fighting, whether it be in the squared circle or in the octagon. He’s a mauler who’s obsessed with inflicting pain as much as he is with himself!

THIS IS HOW I SHOW MY LOVE

I MADE IT IN MY MIND BECAUSE

I BLAME IT ON MY ADD BABY

[As "Sail" by Awolnation plays over the loudspeaker, the towering Brock Quarry slowly steps out to the main stage. He comes out wearing his green and black walkout fight kit with crew members from his camp following behind. Quarry has a stern and focused look on his face while slowly marching down the aisle. He makes it to cageside where he is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, he stomps up the steps and calmly takes his place in his corner.]

PATRICK CARSON

Another Heavyweight eager to make his debut, Brock Quarry is someone I’d call a gentle giant outside of the cage. Very humble who’s not really one to dive into the trash talking hype machine of this sport, he flips a switch once he enters the cage.

NORA BAUER

He’s a member of the slowly rising HILITE Fighting Club camp, with the likes of Takeshi Kato and Nathan Lucas. He’s training with some of the best in the business and I’m anxious to see how he does here tonight.

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following bout is scheduled for three rounds in the UGP Heavyweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Grappler with a Union GP record of 0-0. He stands 6’6” and weighing in at 265 pounds. From Los Angeles, California, he is “Rock Hard” Amani Crawford!

[Crawford steps out from his corner and raises both arms in the air as he bounces in place. He pounds his chest and lets out a primal scream and he looks ready for war.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Boxer with a Union GP record of 0-0. He stands 6’4” and weighing in at 256 pounds. From San Diego, California, fighting out of HILITE Fighting Club, he is Brock “The Rock” Quarry!

[Quarry steps out from his corner and raises both arms in the air as the crowd cheers him on. He looks at the ground while he does his calming exercises. He looks calm but knows he has a tough fight coming up.]

NORA BAUER

Big test for both of these towering men here as they both try to go 1-0 in their debuts. 55% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Amani Crawford is the man to do it.

PATRICK CARSON

The fan poll is close and so has been the mainstream talk between these two. We know anything can happen in the Heavyweight Division, and I think we’re about to see some fireworks! The referee of the bout is Herschel Warden. He checks off with each fighter one last time and he calls for the fight! And here we go!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

PATRICK CARSON

The big guys takes this one to the ground and Crawford is trying to end this one early with some monster elbows!

NORA BAUER

Brock is doing a good job of defending himself but he needs to better his position. Crawford is one of those guys capable of pounding you into oblivion!

[Crawford tries to pass Quarry's guard. He gets his leg free and moves to half guard. Crawford pushes Quarry's  leg and tries to move to full mount. Nice move by Crawford who is in full mount! Quarry could be in trouble now!]

[Crawford continues to on the ground… BOOM! That was a headbutt! Did he do that intentionally? Herschel Warden didn't see the foul! Quarry shakes it off and tries to escape from the full mount. Crawford isn’t caught off guard and moves to side mount to keep his superior position. Crawford works on the ground… BOOM Another headbutt! Quarry's right eye is bruised and beginning to swell! Herschel Warden saw it! Warden takes a point away from Amani for headbutt. Warden halts the fight to give Quarry time to recover.]

PATRICK CARSON

That first headbutt we could maybe let slide, but that second one looked intentional.

NORA BAUER

I know sometimes you can get caught up in the heat of the moment, but Crawford needs to watch the dirty tactics before he gets disqualified!

[After s few moments, Brock Quarry seems to be ready to fight again. The fight resumes with both fighters standing and the fans in the Sudduth Coliseum are cheer the fighters on. Quarry struggles and launches a few punches to Crawford's head that connects clean and forces Crawford to cover. Crawford retaliates, throwing a flurry of punches and Brock Quarry just can't get away!]

PATRICK CARSON

Look at these behemoths go! The display of power by these guys is just absolutely terrifying!

[Amani Crawford times it perfectly for a leg sweep takedown and Quarry falls hard on the mat. Crawford is standing while Quarry is on the ground on his back. Quarry doesn't want to continue the fight in this position and tries to get back on his feet but he can't do it because of Crawford's movement. Amani decides to jump inside Quarry's guard and Quarry didn't see it coming! Crawford is in open guard over Quarry now.]

[Amani Crawford storms over Quarry like a natural disaster, raining down elbows! Crawford doesn't stop and viciously hits again and again! Quarry has a small cut across his forehead now and looks out of it! Brock tries to roll to his side and get to half guard but Amani rolls him to his stomach and takes his back! Crawford positions himself for a round of ground and pound and tries to finish the fight with some precise elbows! One, two, three! Quarry's being punished here and is not intelligently defending himself! Herschel Warden has seen enough! The fight is over!]

PATRICK CARSON

That’s it ladies and gentlemen! Amani Crawford just beat the brakes off Brock Quarry and like every other Heavyweight fight so far, this one is over in the opening frame!

NORA BAUER

Crawford utilized his takedown game to perfection and followed it up with a brutal ground and pound to put this one away. Big debut win for “Rock Hard” Amani!

[The crowd is roaring with excitement as Crawford celebrates his victory with his corner crew. Doctors tend to Quarry for a moment before helping him back up to his feet. After doctors and cutmen finish their work, the two fighters meet in the middle of the octagon for the official call.]

Ruthless aggression! That’s all I can say about Amani Crawford who comes out of this one victorious.

[As "The Fight Song" by Marilyn Manson plays over the loudspeaker, Mad Maxine slowly creeps out to the main stage. She comes out wearing her black and gold walkout fight kit with crew members from her camp following behind. Maxine burrows her head down while slowly marching down the aisle. She makes it to cageside where she is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, she stomps up the steps and calmly takes her place in her corner.]

PATRICK CARSON

Mad Maxine is coming off her second loss in as many fights, but her opposition has been stellar. Losing to Daniel Fisk and Jakko Wirman, both now under a part of Real Killas MMA, her road to victory has been a very steep one.

NORA BAUER

You’re absolutely right. She got starched in her debut fight, but showed some progress against Wirman. This is a brutal division and cannot be taken lightly. It’ll be interesting to see how she has progressed in this one against an Olympic Boxer no less!

SGORI BY STVORE BEGINS TO PLAY

[The heavy opening riff of STVORE’s Sgori (Burn) starts up on the sound system and Viktor Volkov steps out from behind the curtain. His eyes fixated on the cage, Volkov slowly begins to roll his shoulders whilst he walks. With his usual stoic expression etched upon his face, Viktor continues walking, completely unphased by the occasion, cracking his knuckles through his gloves and swinging his arms a couple of times before reaching cageside.]

[He calmly removes his Reebok branded tee, handing it off to a team member before bumping the fist of several other team members around him. Eventually his head trainer stops up in front of him, squirting some water in Volkov's mouth before handing him his black mouth guard, adorned with the image of the grim reaper. The big Russian pops it into his mouth before the cutman goes to work, carefully placing vaseline across each brow, then rubbing it into his cheeks, nose and forehead area. The cutman then nods to Volkov, who turns, brushing by him as he makes his way up the steps and into the cage.]

[Viktor takes a quick lap around the cage, breaking into a light jog before he settles back into his corner, intimidatingly beginning to pace back and forth as his music slowly dies down.]

PATRICK CARSON

Viktor Volkov is coming in this fight after a resounding win over Kevin Van Damne at Boss Fight #2. Recently he’s been quite vocal on social media, begging for a fight!

NORA BAUER

This company has been growing exponentially in recent weeks, and sometimes if you aren’t making noise outside of the octagon, people may forget about you. He finally got his fight tonight and now he’ll try to let his actions do the talking!

MIKE DEMPSEY

And her opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Boxer with a Union GP record of 1-1. He stands 6’5” and weighing in at 225 pounds. From Saint Petersburg, Russia, fighting out of Volkov Fighting Institute, he is “The Last Tsar” Viktor Volkov!

[Volkov steps out from his corner and raises both arms in the air with an emotionless straight face. He then looks at the ground while he does his breathing exercises. He knows he can not fail this night.]

NORA BAUER

As we get ready for this Cruiserweight contenders bout, let’s take a look at our social media poll. 73% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Viktor Volkov walks out of here with the win tonight.

It’s a safe bet to take the fighter coming in with some momentum, but never doubt someone who’s back is against the wall! Alright folks, the referee for this contest is Dusty Whittaker. He checks off with each fighter, and calls for the bell. This fight is underway!

=========================================

Maxine struggles and eventually fights way out!]

[The crowd bursts into cheers as Volkov celebrates his victory with his corner crew. Doctors tend to Maxine for a few moments before helping her back up to her feet. After doctors and cutmen finish their work, the two fighters meet back in the middle of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Aliyah doesn’t show much emotion as she makes it to cageside and gets checked by the bout official. Once cleared, she races up the steps and heads straight to her corner, bobbing and weaving along the way.]

PATRICK CARSON

And now coming down to the octagon we have one of the many new Lightweight fighters that recently signed to Union GP. Zari Aliyah is a young prospect fighting for Real Killas MMA.

NORA BAUER

From what we know coming out of her camp, she is a tremendous striker, particularly with her legs. On top of that her takedown game is top notch, so I think we can expect to see her using her striking game to setup the takedowns.

“GIMME YOUR APPLAUSE”

BEGINS TO PLAY

[As “Gimme Your Applause” by Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, & Christina Aguilera plays throughout the arena, Kenzi Grey slowly makes her way out while bouncing to keep warm in her black and gold walkout fight kit. Just behind her, guards and her corner crew follow her lead towards the octagon. Grey doesn’t show much emotion as she makes it to cageside and gets checked by the bout official. Once cleared, she races up the steps and heads straight to her corner, bobbing and weaving along the way.]

PATRICK CARSON

And now we have Kenzi Grey making her way out and I’m sure she’s as focused as ever. She’s coming off a very controversial loss that continues to be scrutinized to this day.

NORA BAUER

Unfortunately it’s one of those things that’s been known to happen in this sport. Kenzi however took it in stride and said she needs to work on finishing the fight and not leave it in the judges’ hands. Certainly a great attitude to have to keep pressing forward.

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for three rounds in the UGP Lightweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Muay Thai Kickboxer with a Union GP record of 0-0. She stands at 5’7” and weighing in at 119 pounds. [Grey steps out from her corner and raises both arms in the air as the crowd cheers her on. Kenzi looks like she's feeling the pressure a bit.]

NORA BAUER

And now we are just moments away from what is sure to be an exciting fast paced fight. 61% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Zari Aliyah earns a debut victory tonight.

PATRICK CARSON

She has that unknown factor all the while coming from one of the top training camps in the world. Alright ladies and gentlemen, the referee for this bout is Roy Rivers and he’s calling for the fight, and this one is underway!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

[Aliyah fakes a punch and shoots a takedown but Grey sprawls and remains on her feet. Zari throws a nice low kick but Kenzi stops it. Poorly executed technique. Kenzi Grey looks to counter! [Aliyah launches a knee again but Grey blocksit again. Zari gets sloppy now and Kenzi tries to take advantage. Kenzi is in good position and is looking to change levels for the takedown but Aliyah doesn't let Grey get in on her legs.]

PATRICK CARSON

Pretty evenly contested fight in the opening round here.

NORA BAUER

Both are firing away with some offense but neither one have managed to gain any control. It’s been a back and forth counter attack.

[Aliyah launches a knee again, and AGAIN Grey blocks it. Kenzi pushes away Aliyah trying to keep the fight at striking range now. Aliyah stumbles backwards and Kenzi circles to get the center of the cage. The two circle around trying to find angles when suddenly Zari changes levels and shoots in for a single leg takedown. PATRICK CARSON

Crazy first round for both of these fighters. I honestly can’t give the nod to either one of them. Both kept the pressure on each other with a great offensive game, but in the same time, both were dodging, escaping, and countering everything thrown at them.

NORA BAUER

It looked like a Bruce Lee movie out there. A lot of big strikes thrown only to get evaded. Let’s see how these two respond here in the second round.

PATRICK CARSON

That was an even round for the most part. Again not a lot of commanding control from either fighter, so it’s really anyone’s guess.

NORA BAUER

Someone is going to have to take control of this fight one way or another. It’s razor thin right now on the scorecard. Let’s see who can finish strong in this final round.

PATRICK CARSON

Another close round here. Honestly this fight is a tough one to call. What do you think, Nora?

NORA BAUER

The one thing I keep going back to throughout this fight is that fact Zari stayed aggressive throughout this fight. Although her strikes were blocked numerous times, she kept at it. Kenzi looked a bit timid and didn’t work in a lot of offense. Either way this one is called, it’ll be hard to argue with.

[After a few minutes of recovering in their corners, both fighters meet back in the center of the octagon for the official decision.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

PATRICK CARSON

It looked like the judges were divided in this fight as well. Both fighters looked like they had a lot left to give, but ultimately this one goes to the debuting Zari Aliyah.

NORA BAUER

Another tough loss for Kenzi Grey now. I think she needs to go back to the drawing board and refocus her training regimen. Tough break for her but a big win for Zari who takes down a top five competitor!

YOU CALL IT A HOBBY, I CALL IT A WAY OF LIFE

NO WAY THAT YOU CAN STOP ME

YOU KNOW THAT I’VE BEEN TRAININ', RIGHT?

THE MORE YOU TRY TO BLOCK ME, THE MORE THAT I CONTROL THE FIGHT

[As “On Another Level” by NF plays throughout the arena, Ellis Belrose slowly makes her way out while bouncing to keep warm in her gray and white walkout fight kit with her corner crew following close behind. Belrose doesn’t show much emotion as she makes it to cageside and gets checked by the bout official. Once cleared, she marches up the steps and heads straight to her corner, bobbing and weaving along the way.]

PATRICK CARSON

One of the newest contracted fighters in the big wave of Lightweights recently signed, Ellis Belrose looked laser focused for tonight.

NORA BAUER

She’s got a big task ahead of her in her debut. Some would say she’s being thrown right in the fire, but as they say, to be the best, you gotta best the best! Woo!

PATRICK CARSON

What was that?

NORA BAUER

Sorry, I got a little carried away there.

DON’T NEED NO FALSE REASONS FOR WHY I’M OUT OF PLACE

I DON’T GOOSE STEP FOR THE MASQUERADE

I DON’T SCREAM AND TWIST JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT

I’VE POISONED BLOOD WHEN I’M PISSED

["Babylonian Gorgon" by The Bags plays throughout the arena. The Black Rose steadily makes her way out and keeps right on trucking. She sporadically looks out to the crowd as she keeps her pace, mentally taking it all in.]

PATRICK CARSON

And here she is, The Black Rose! This is Hanako Takeuchi’s first fight since her devastating loss in the finals for the Lightweight Championship. Hanako was on an absolute tear before falling to Jordan Parker-Kane.

NORA BAUER

She kept her promise though. She declared that for anyone that was capable of defeating her she’d offer a title shot for her IJPW Shoot Crown Title, and we will get to see that on After Dark, January 6th only on the Battleground Network!

PATRICK CARSON

Belrose is trying to keep the pressure on Hanako and avoid being in her striking range.

NORA BAUER

Hanako landed a couple good strikes standing up and Ellis quickly decided to try and take this fight to the ground. She nearly caught her with that flying triangle, but she’ll try and neutralize Hanako’s range where she’s more comfortable.

[Hanako Takeuchi works in side mount over Belrose before jumping to full mount! Takeuchi is in full mount but Belrose instantly tries to roll to her side and trap Hanako in her guard. PATRICK CARSON

You could see why Ellis Belrose tried to go for that wild flying triangle and take the fight to the ground. We have yet to see anyone go toe-to-toe with The Black Rose standing up.

NORA BAUER

Her height advantage is a tremendous factor in her dominating performances, especially in this division. Once again, she kept her opponent out of their striking zone but perfectly in hers and just teed off on her opponent. On the flip side, kudos to Belrose for trying to keep the fight on the ground, even though she couldn’t manage to keep control or advance any offense. Hopefully she takes this loss and can take some knowledge away from it.

ANGELS OF DEATH BY DOYLE W. DONEHOO

BEGINS TO PLAY

[The arena lights die down for a brief moment as the chords of "Angels of Death by Doyle D. Donehoo blare throughout the P.A. system, then flicker between blue and white as "The Primarch" Robert Guilliman strides out of the entrance.]

[He marches down the hall decidedly, with a heavy air of concentration about him, then salutes solemnly to the audience and staff, before he enters the cage and starts a small warm-up routine.]

PATRICK CARSON

Coming to the octagon now is “The Primarch” Robert Guilliman, who’s riding on a two fight win streak. This guy has been impressive in each of his two fights, and has soared up the rankings for a chance to move on to a title fight here tonight.

NORA BAUER

Guilliman has two first round stoppages to his name and is looking to continue those winning ways. The winner here tonight will go onto to face Cristian Bonanno for the Middleweight Title, and I’m sure Robert has done nothing else but train for this fight since it was announced.

IRIDIUM BY THE SIDH

BEGINS TO PLAY

["Iridium" by The Sidh blasts through the arena. The Scottish fighter comes out from the back with his corner following behind him. Edan bounces in place with his blue and gold fight kit on. Edan has a cool and calm swagger in his step. His collected face doesn't break as he makes his way to the cage.]

[Edan takes his tracksuit off and hands it to his coach. He hugs each member of the camp, then turns to the official. He closes his eyes as he gets checked. He opens his mouth to show his mouth guard. The official gives him the go-ahead and Edan darts up the steps. He turns to the crowd and flexes for them. Edan keeps flexing as he circles the canvas. He stops in his corner, does some fancy footwork and throws some loose strikes. He then begins to pace from side to side until the fight begins.]

PATRICK CARSON

And now, “The Natural” Edan McLeod makes his way to the octagon, and I have to say, I don’t know the last time I seen someone as dominant as McLeod. Currently 3-0 in UGP, he has completely pulverized his opposition by outstriking them at an astronomical ratio.

NORA BAUER

He’s become known for his high volume of punishing strikes, particularly with his hands. I think he’s going to have to do much of the same here tonight. Both McLeod and Guilliman match up very well against each other and I’m so excited to see this fight live. No doubt a fight of the night candidate with these two striking powerhouses going up against each other.

MIKE DEMPSEY

PATRICK CARSON

What an amazing fight we just witnessed here tonight! A dominating performance by McLeod who took his best game against Robert Guilliman.Guilliman had some absorbing moments and he contributed to the enjoyment of the people here in Lake Charles, Louisiana. McLeod prevailed though, leaning on his trademark high volume striking and now he will go on to face Cristian Bonanno for the Middleweight Championship!

NORA BAUER

Incredible display of will and courage from Robert Guilliman though. This guy took an absolute beating, but never gave up! He’ll surely take this one in stride and use it as a learning tool to get back into title contention. Big congrats to both of these competitors for putting on quite possibly the greatest fight we have seen to date here in Union Grand Prix!

IT’S AMAZING

I’M THE REASON

EVERYBODY FIRED UP THIS EVENING

[“Amazing” by Kanye West thumps over the loudspeaker and Nathan Lucas emerges to the stage wearing his black and neon green walkout fight kit with crew members from his camp following behind. Lucas has a stone cold look on his face as he slowly prowls down the aisle. He makes it to cageside where he is checked up by the fight official. Once he’s cleared, he races up the steps and jogs around the cage a couple times before staying put in his corner.]

PATRICK CARSON

And now here comes Nathan Lucas, a man that has come so close to championship glory in Union GP. He’s been on the cusp and tonight is his chance to make that dream into a reality.

Lucas lost in the semifinals of the Cruiserweight Tournament, losing to eventual champion Daniel Fisk in a stunner. I’m sure he would love to get that one back, but he has a young prospect ahead of him here tonight. One fight at a time.

I TESTIFIED

MY MOMMA CRIED

BLACK PEOPLE DIED

PATRICK CARSON

And now here comes one of the biggest fan favorites in Union Grand Prix, “The Shooter” Roscoe Robinson! Roscoe has been in the headlines numerous times in his tenure, from his elaborate trash talking to his fighting skills and everything in between.

NORA BAUER

He’s a bright star in the making no doubt, but he’s got a chance tonight to break through into the elite class of fighters with a win here. It’s been a big talking point, if he does win, he will go against his coach and camp owner Daniel Fisk for the Cruiserweight Championship! No bad blood in that scenario, as this camp is built like a family, and sometimes family fights to settle the score.

It was a good strategy to keep the wrestler in his striking range, yet far enough to not try to shoot in for a takedown. Let’s see if he can continue the trend while Lucas is surely going to have to regroup.
