[The camera goes around the arena after the first fight, focusing in on different fans throughout the building excited for what the rest of the night will bring. Coming down to the front row, the camera pauses on one of the newest signees to the Lightweight Division, Natalie King.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS
As we take a break from the action, here’s our first look at one of the newest fighters signed to Union Grand Prix! For those unaware, we’re looking at Natalie King, an amateur kickboxer turned professional wrestler turned professional MMA fighter. Here tonight to not only cheer on her RAW GRAPS teammates Talon Clem and Fabio Pacitti, but to also get a closer look at some of her potential opponents in the deep Lightweight Division.

TOUSSAINT HARPER
And like you mentioned, Natalie’s a two-time F2W Melee Champion and while you always wonder how wrestlers will fare when stepping into MMA, Natalie’s got the benefit of having fought prior to wrestling and even in F2W, it was a hybrid of all styles. Needless to say, she knows how to fight, but her real test will be fighting inside of a cage.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS
To add onto your point, if you haven’t fought in a cage before and I don’t believe Natalie has, it’s a whole new world. Lot of these kickboxers need time to adjust from fighting in a ring to fighting in a cage. But once you look past that, given her height, reach, and length advantage over most fighters in the Lightweight Division, there’s some serious potential, and I can’t wait to see her first fight!

TOUSSAINT HARPER
Then you add in how hard we see Talon Clem go, you’ve got to imagine Natalie King has the same mentality. I think it’s safe to say we’re both excited to see how Natalie fares in Union GP. And now we head back over to the octagon for some heavyweight action as Fabio Pacitti takes on Donnie Calabrese!

[As we pause for a short intermission, the camera pans throughout the crowd, and we catch a glimpse of Union Grand Prix Middleweight contender Talon Clem in attendance. He looks to be enjoying himself for the evening with an entourage surrounding him.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Looks like we have one of our fasting rising fighters in the house tonight. Talon Clem has been quite impressive in his short tenure here in Union GP and it quickly growing to be one of the bigger fan favorites. The kickboxing specialist is currently 2-0 with both wins resulting from first round finishes, which is a fantastic start in the extremely tough and competitive Middleweight Division.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

It’s hard not to love the guy. Talon Clem is someone who gives it his all 100% of the time in every aspect of the fight game. Whether it’s in the gym, in the kitchen, or in the octagon, he leaves it all out there, but does it with a humble perspective. Great to see him here enjoying the night, but you kinda gotta wonder if he’s doing some scouting with there being two big Middleweight bouts scheduled tonight.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I mean I’m sure he’s here to enjoy the atmosphere. But with him being the lone representative for RAW GRAPS after Hailey McIntyre played out her contract and has stepped away from the sport for the foreseeable future, you gotta believe at least part of him takes this as a business trip for wanting to make his camp proud.

ANGELS OF DEATH BY DOYLE W. DONEHOO
BEGINS TO PLAY

[The arena lights die down for a brief moment as the chords of "Angels of Death by Doyle D. Donehoo blare throughout the P.A. system, then flicker between blue and white as "The Primarch" Robert Guilliman strides out of the entrance.]

[He marches down the hall decidedly, with a heavy air of concentration about him, then salutes solemnly to the audience and staff, before he enters the cage and starts a small warm-up routine.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

And now the next man up to challenge the undefeated champion is none other than “The Primarch” Robert Guilliman. He’s been a fast rising fighter in this stout Middleweight class since he debuted at Boss Fight 2.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

No question he’s been impressive. He’s coming into this fight after avenging his only loss to Edan McLeod. Guilliman looked like a completely different fighter in that rematch, completely dominating and overpowering McLeod. He’s definitely gonna need that same fire here tonight!

WHEN THE LINE FROZE, WHAT DID I SEE
A BAD MOTHERFUCKER STANDING NEXT TO ME
WITH HIS EYES CLOSE, TOLD HE CAN’T SEE
TRYNA FOLLOWS ORDERS, JUST GONE AND BE FREE

[As the opening guitar riff to "Bad Motherfucker" by Machine Gun Kelly rips over the speakers, Cristian Bonanno walks towards the ring with purpose blowing by extended hands reaching out for high fives. Once he’s cleared, Bonanno races up the steps and shadow boxes while he heads to his corner.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

And here he is, the undefeated champion Cristian Bonanno! What can you say about the guy that hasn’t already been said before? By now we sound like a broken record when it comes to Bonanno, but the guy is on a whole different level on his own.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

You talk about a broken record, and that’s exactly what Bonanno has become. He’s to taste defeat in Union GP, and he’s done it spectacular fashion. Finishing all of his fights, he’s become a take no prisoners warrior inside the cage, and it’s made him the face of this company in the process. He’s got a big matchup ahead of him, but you better believe he intends on walking out with that title around his waist!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

These guys have taken different paths to reach this point, and soon we’ll find out the next chapter in each of these fighters’ journey. Before we kick things off, let’s take a look at the predictions placed for this bout. 54% of the fans that took our social media poll believes that Cristian Bonanno continues his impressive reign as champion.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

It’s hard to argue with those numbers, Willy. Cristian Bonanno has without a doubt been the most dominant fighter Union Grand Prix has seen since its recent inception. But now it’s time to kick things into gear! Our referee for this Co-Main Event bout is Dusty Whittaker. He checks off with each man one last time and he calls for the bell! And this fight is underway!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Oh! Big right hand to open up round one, Guilliman better be careful!

That punishment by Guilliman has left Bonanno staggered! Guilliman should try push forward now and finish this!]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Guilliman was in a bad spot there for a while but then delivered that big equalizer there with the high kick!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Cristian Bonanno needs to respect the kicking range of Guilliman. That guy can knock him into another dimension!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I know the polls were close for this one, but I don’t think anyone expected this kind of finish! Cristian Bonanno gets clipped with a monster high kick and that’s all it took to crown a new champion!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

A brilliant effort tonight from Robert Guilliman who came in tonight with a flawless strategy. Bonanno has got to be shell shocked over this one. But make no mistake, he’ll be back in the hunt!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Would you look at that?! We’ve got a legend in the house tonight! The Beantown native Byron McCall has graced us with his presence in this wild night that is UGP 8.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

He’s an icon in this sport, no doubt about that. A two-role champion and at one point, the face of this sport. It’s great to see him here tonight, because I’ve got some groundbreaking news. Earlier today, I spoke with Union Grand Prix President Dante Reed, and he told me that one of the seven newest signings is that man right there!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Say what now?!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

That’s right! Byron McCall met with Dante Reed earlier in the week and the two struck a deal! He will be competing in th Middleweight Division, and it’s speculated with sources close to the situation that he will make his debut at UGP 9!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

TOUSSAINT HARPER

While we all process this bit of news, let’s turn it back over to Mike Dempsey inside the octagon for tonight’s main event of the evening!

UGP8_Robinson-vs-Volkov.png

SGORI BY STVORE BEGINS TO PLAY

[The heavy opening riff of STVORE’s Sgori (Burn) starts up on the sound system and Viktor Volkov steps out from behind the curtain. His eyes fixated on the cage, Volkov slowly begins to roll his shoulders whilst he walks. With his usual stoic expression etched upon his face, Viktor continues walking, completely unfazed by the occasion, cracking his knuckles through his gloves and swinging his arms a couple of times before reaching cageside.]

[He calmly removes his Reebok branded tee, handing it off to a team member before bumping the fist of several other team members around him. Eventually his head trainer stops up in front of him, squirting some water in Volkov's mouth before handing him his black mouth guard, adorned with the image of the grim reaper. The big Russian pops it into his mouth before the cutman goes to work, carefully placing vaseline across each brow, then rubbing it into his cheeks, nose and forehead area. The cutman then nods to Volkov, who turns, brushing by him as he makes his way up the steps and into the cage.]

[Viktor takes a quick lap around the cage, breaking into a light jog before he settles back into his corner, intimidatingly beginning to pace back and forth as his music slowly dies down.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Here comes the Russian phenom Viktor Volkov. He looks ready for war and this is undoubtedly the biggest night in his Union Grand Prix career. Ever since his shocking debut loss, Volkov has made it his mission to climb the ranks and get to this moment.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

He’s done it with impressive prowess too. Three of his last four fights have been by first round knockouts, with his most recent win over Jakko Wirman resulting in a third round knockout. He’s shown he has that knockout power and will surely use it to his advantage here tonight.

[The entire building goes dark.]

I WON’T DENY IT, I’M A STRAIGHT RIDAH
YOU DON’T WANNA FUCK WITH ME
GOT THE POLICE BUSTIN' AT ME
BUT THEY CAN’T DO NOTHING TO A G

[The beat of “Ambitionz Az A Ridah” by 2Pac bumps over the PA system as the piano tones can be heard through the bass. A spotlight shines down onto the entrance where “The Shooter” Roscoe Robinson emerges to the main stage, the Union Grand Prix Cruiserweight Championship around his waist. His walkout fight kit is different tonight, mostly black with pink and blue highlighting the trim, unzipped to display the championship. On his back, the Real Killas MMA logo is centered, a skull with crossing AK-47’s behind it. On the sides of his shorts at the waist, pistols in holsters are printed on the fabric. Followed by an entourage of coaches and security guards, Robinson proceeds down the aisle, his eyes focused on the cage, calm in the midst of battle.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

And now, the final walkout of the night, the one and only Roscoe Robinson! This man has had a rocket strapped on him and soared the rankings en route to a championship reign. One of the most charismatic fighters in the business, he’s a guy who has the skill set to back up his trash talk.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Can’t argue with that. Roscoe is a world class striker who can utilize every limb, making him very dangerous standing up. However, he’s still has a lot to improve on on the ground, something Volkov could possible try and exploit. But if this stays standing up, we’re gonna see a knockdown, drag out fight!

MIKE DEMPSEY
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the Main Event of the evening! The following contest is scheduled for five rounds and it’s for the Union Grand Prix Cruiserweight Championship! MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Kickboxer with a Union GP record of 4-1. He stands at 6’1” and weighing in at 215 pounds. [Roscoe Robinson is beating himself up in the corner before the fight begins, smacking himself in the face, body and legs to get ready for this war.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Alright ladies and gentlemen, it’s the fight we’ve all been waiting for! Neither of these guys held back throughout the media blitz these past few weeks. There is definitely some bad blood, and when stakes are this high, everything is fair with the mind games. Before we begin, let’s take a quick look at where we stand in the predictions. 52% of the fans that took our social media poll believe that Viktor Volkov will prevail and capture the Cruiserweight Title!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

It’s a narrow margin which goes to show that this bout is a complete toss up. Volkov has the experience, but Robinson is riding high and shows no signs of slowing down. But now, we are set to find out who walks out of the TD Garden as Cruiserweight Champ! Our referee for this main event bout is Jordan Ripley. He checks off with each fighter and quickly calls for the bell! And here we go!

[The crowd cheers as Robinson has his hand raised in victory and the title wrapped around his waist. Both fighters give a slight nod and a fist bump before splitting off to each other’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

A great performance by Roscoe Robinson here tonight. He read the fight well and wasn't afraid of engaging. But this is one that Viktor Volkov would like to have back. I’m sure he’ll regroup and learn from the mistakes made here and build on them. But Harpy, what can you say about a night like tonight? Eight fights all ending in the first round. You can never be too sure of what to expect!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

That why we do what we do. Put the speculations to bed, put them in the cage and lock the door! It’s been a wild night here in Boston, but that’s all we have folks! Catch us again exclusively on the Battleground Network as we make our way down to São Paulo, Brazil for Boss Fight VII! For Warhead Williams, I’m Toussaint Harper, goodnight everybody!
