[Lightweight champion, Jordan Parker - Kane walks to the podium. He smiles out at the crowd. He's started to get used to these press conferences and how he should act and dress. The champ wears black slacks and matching jacket with a red button down under it. The lightweight championship belt resting on his shoulder.]
JPK: It's great so far. I've been so busy with training and shows, I'm not sure I have had time to really process it. It's great having some e whose is so supportive and understanding. She understands the endgame and what I ultimately want to accomplish.
Reporter #2: You've been on the go, almost non stop this week. Worried about being overworked at this point?
JPK; No, not really.
[Jordan shakes his head while answering.]
JPK: Stuff like this is why I worked so much on my conditioning. So I can handle these sorts of situations. Ideally, I wouldn't have so much at once, but sometimes it happens. I get from the outside looking in it looks like I haven't given enough time to train for Takeshi, but it's just not the case. Fact is I am the first ever Lightweight champion. That isn't something I take lightly. If Takeshi or anyone else is gonna take it from me, it's gonna be the fight of their lives.
[A new reporter stands up.]
Reporter #3: You said before that you thought the shot should have gone to Hanako. Is that just because she won the rematch for the IJPW Shoot Crown championship?
JPK: While that win, certainly helps her case. I felt that she deserved this shot before then. Outside of our fight, she's dominated. When UPG started she was the favorite, the expected face of the division. When you have that much hype behind you, then you lose your shot at the championship. It would be easy to spiral a bit and drop another fight or two. However, she rebounded. None of this takes away what Takeshi Kato has accomplished thus far.
[Jordan pauses for a moment as he considers his next response.]
JPK: He came in with the second wave of lightweights and created quite a buzz. He's proven himself and is as deserving a Hanako really. While I look forward to the day we get JPK/Hanako III, my focus is on JPK/Takeshi I. A fight that may just be the hardest I've ever been in to date.
Reporter #3: Do you believe this could be that kind of series of fights?
JPK: Certainly, Time will tell how it plays out, but the skills sets are so close. It's gonna be a true fight. I mean if you look at the fights that have done really well with, It's the strikers. I was as to use my with to dodge and counter to keep them.off guard. The fights that REALLY pushed me where against those who fought a similar style. Lauren and Hailey, they pushed me. They forced me to find a way to survive. The fact that I did survive is why I stand here confident that I'm leaving still the champion.
Reporter #4: Getting away from your fight for a moment. Any thoughts on Kaelan walking away from MMA?
[Jordan looks down for a moment and then back to the reporter.]
JPK: Sad to see her leave, but I understand her reasoning. Maybe she’ll be back down the line. I would have loved a chance to fight her, but I wish her well.
Reporter #4: Misty DeMeans, Takeshi training partner, all but guaranteed that he was going to take the championship from you. Thoughts?
[Jordan lets a small chuckle escape his lips]
JPK: I say she pretty much did guarantee it, but it's whatever. That's what Misty does, she talks and tries to create headlines. It works for her. I prefer to do things differently. Maybe it's not the most exciting and doesn't create clickbait for everyone, but it works for me. Misty can say whatever she likes, it has no effect on this fight. Win, loss, or draw her comments don't matter. Maybe she’ll get her chance if she beats Zari in Jamaica.
[A new reporter quickly stands to ask a question.]
Reporter #5: Your UGP has two fights left, one after tomorrow. Given your success so far, should we expect to hear about a new contract soon?
JPK: You’ll have to speak to my agent, Jerry Dawson, on that one. I know he's spoken to Dante and other officials, but as of now, I have not been presented with any sort of official offer.
[Jordan picks up the championship belt and places it back over his shoulder.]
JPK: That's all, for now. See you guys tomorrow night.
[Reporters shout questions out as Jordan walks off the stage.]
#OOC Sorry its SUPER late.

Reporter #1: How are you feeling, Champ?
[Jordan laughs a bit, as he props the belt in front of him at the podium]
JPK: Not gonna lie… I'm tired. A bit jet lagged, but I'm good. When it's time, I'll be more than ready.
Reporter #1: How's married life treating you?
JPK: It's great so far. I've been so busy with training and shows, I'm not sure I have had time to really process it. It's great having some e whose is so supportive and understanding. She understands the endgame and what I ultimately want to accomplish.
