MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, we are live exclusively on the Battleground Network here at du Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and this is UGP 23! And now, this opening contest is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Middleweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Wrestler holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 2-1. He stands 6’1”, and weighing in at 185 pounds. He is from Havana, Cuba, fighting out of Chicago MMA, presenting “The Havana Nightmare” Ricardo Sandoval!

[Ricardo Sandoval looks at the ground while he does his breathing exercises. He knows the opportunity at stake and he cannot fail tonight.]

CARRICK PRICE

Time is running out on the Havana Nightmare if he’s going to make any sort of major impact in the middleweight division going forward and tonight’s fight is, by no means, a walk in the park. Some would even argue that his opponent tonight is deserving of the middleweight championship fight occuring later this evening in our main event. What can he do to bounce back from a tough loss to Asher Jrue at UGP 21?

TOUSSAINT HARPER

He would have to put Zion away in a very rude fashion. He didn’t show as well as he hoped against Jrue. One thing you can say about the Middleweight Division is you can’t afford any setbacks. It’s still an early career for Sandoval as far as UGP is concerned but the doors to a Championship shot definitely get smaller with a loss here. It’s about him fighting his fight. He’s a wrestler so he needs to wrestle. If he tries the standup too long I see a rough night ahead.

JASON JACKSON
I think that Sandoval has a chance to walk away with a win here if he executes a proper gameplan. He’s big on forward pressure and he’s got some heavy hands. He’s also fighting a man that is coming off a pretty substantial injury and the possibility for ring rust could be there. I think if he’s going to have a shot against an evasive counter fighter like Zion, he’s going to need to get all up in his grill. Push the pace, don’t give him room to work, and put him on the mat. That’s going to be the key to victory here for Ricardo.

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 7-4. He stands 6’ even, and weighing in at 185 pounds. He is from Los Angeles, California, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, presenting Zion “The Blasian Buzzsaw” Momo’a!

[Zion Momo'a raises his fists in his corner. He looks confident and ready to roll.]

CARRICK PRICE

There’s been a lot of change as of late in the professional life of Zion Momo’a, and he’s coming off a tough injury and a loss after challenging for the championship. Still, a move from 36th Street to Real Killa’s should help to show improvements. That’s taking nothing away from 36th Street as a gym but RK is easily a top three gym in the world today, jostling with 9th World and my own ScrapYard facilities for that title. No one doubts the coaching. No one doubts the confidence that RK instills in people. But this feels like a fight where Zion has little to gain and everything to lose. Thoughts?

TOUSSAINT HARPER

It is but that seems to be the theme. It’s a risk every time you get in there but it’s always where you can make your point. Obviously the higher ups are giving Zion the opportunity to show what he’s made of after his injury. I believe change is good if you are finding yourself losing steam. Sometimes it’s mental and sometimes it’s physical. Either way, change is needed. The want to be in there can overwhelm you too so with his injury there’s the question of it being too early. Only way to see is to put the gloves up.

JASON JACKSON
Yes and no. I mean he DID call out Sandoval. So if he loses to him after calling him out and tweeting about how he was going to, and I quote, “ Switch kick him into 2021” then he looks a little stupid here. I think that the kid has just been on the shelf for a while and he wants to come back with a bang while testing the waters at the same time. This is a “stand your ground” fight for Momo’a. He wins and he solidifies himself as a contender like he’s been saying for months now, and if he loses then you chalk it up to ring rust from the injury and get back on the horse. Zion has struggled against wrestlers in the past, so it’s not entirely like he’s taking a tune-up fight here either. He’s testing himself and I think it’s a smart move. Just like I think his move to RK was as well. Sometimes you have to mix it up and test yourself to see where you stand. Tonight we see where Zion Momo’a stands.

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[Wasting no time at all, Momo’a and Sandoval move toward the center of the cage at the sound of the bell as tonight’s fight is officially underway.]

[Opening the fight with a flurry of lefts and rights, Sandoval unloads with a nasty combination of blows. Zion’s corner is on their toes, worried about the damage Zion taking on from the quick striking assault at the hands of Sandoval. In just the short amount of time it’s been following the sound of the bell, Zion’s right cheek begins showing signs of bruising from the blows landed from Ricardo.]

JASON JACKSON
ZIon absorbs some damage here early. His right orbital area is already showing some signs of swelling and you know that has to be a bit unnerving for the fighter and his corner. NEither of them want to see him back on the shelf so soon.

[With perfect timing, Zion finds an opening and throws his leg upward, launching a vicious high kick that connects with the side of Ricado’s face. Stumbling back a few steps, Ricardo regains his footing, rubbing his fingers across his cheek swelling by the second.]

CARRICK PRICE

Christ, thought it might be over already right there.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Sandoval comes out swinging but Zion with the equalizer.

[With the clock reaching 0:35, Sandoval and Momo’a circle the center of the cage, studying the others movements for an opening to attack. Swinging with a looping right punch, Zion lunges towards Ricardo, failing to connect as Ricardo jumps back and retaliates with a few punches of his own. The two exchange blows back and forth, each taking their fair share of damage. The camera zooms into Zion’s face, catching a glimpse of his swelling right eye.]

CARRICK PRICE

Oh, it’s gonna be one of those fights. Alright then, lets saddle up lads.

JASON JACKSON
He needs to get his hands up and protect that eye.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

*Adjusts in Chair* READY!

[Sixty seconds on the clock and Zion finds himself backed close to the cage. Swinging for Zion’s body, Ricardo throws a few powerful lefts and rights, failing to connect with a single one as Zion evades each body crushing strike.]

JASON JACKSON
This kid is so good at being evasive. He’s such an agile and athletic dude that it makes him so hard to hit when he utilizes his footwork and head movement.

[Pressing forward, Sandoval shoves Zion back a step before changing things up. Showing his wrestling skills, Sandoval pulls Zion in with a double overhook. Determined to work from the clich, Sandoval keeps his hold on Zion as he tries to shrug it off, having no luck whatsoever. Sandoval pummels Zion a bit, maintaining the hold and position.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

This is the fight Sandoval wants to have. Keep it close contact. Avoid the strikes.

[Still in the clinch, Zion doesn’t look comfortable. Everything he’s tried just falling short of execution. Throwing a flurry of punches, Ricardo pounds his fists into Zion. Zion just can’t seem to get away from Sandoval and the clinch. He ducks under Sandoval to get away but is shoved back as Sandoval refuses to let him break clinch.]

JASON JACKSON
Sandoval utilizing that game plan I spoke about early here. Zion doesn’t like to be grappled. Putting him up against the fence here with that clinch would be a  smart move if he plays it cautiously.

[With a burst of energy, Zion drives Sandoval backwards and slams his back to the cage. Sandoval maintains the clinch briefly before Zion slams his back to the cage again and pulls away. Throwing his arm around and turning his body into it, Zion connects with a vicious elbow that drops Sandoval to the mat instantly!]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Wellhell!! WHOOA!!

CARRICK PRICE

If you want a text book example of how to use the cage to your advantage, that’s it right there. Used it to get the separation he needed and then to prevent Ricardo from getting the separated he needed. End result, a huge ass elbow just put Sandoval on his ass.

JASON JACKSON
Breaking news… he did NOT play it cautiously and he paid for it. What an elbow strike from the pocket there. Oh look!! He’s telling him to get the fuck up!! He’s letting him up!!

[Zion stands over Sandoval on the ground, shouting at him to get up and fight him. Sandoval obliged, pushing himself up to his feet. Lunging for Zion to clinch, Sandoval eats a quick right to the mouth from Zion. Unloading the bombs, Zion rains down onto Sandoval with powerful yet precise punches. He’s relentless, striking Sandoval with ease and putting him in a world of pain!]

[Pushing Sandoval back a step, Zion fires a vicious high kick, landing it directly to the side of Sandoval’s head! Sandoval moves in to shoot but instead he’s greeted with a lighting fast knee that completely wrecks him!]

JASON JACKSON
It looks like ZIon has found his range and his rhythm here as he-- OH! DAMN! SANDOVAL SHOT FOR THAT TAKEDOWN AND ATE A FACE FULL OF KNEE!

[Sandoval manages to block a jab from Zion, slowing down Zion’s momentum. Zion throws another jab, failing to connect as Sandoval blocks again. Swinging with an uppercut, Zion drives his fist into Sandoval’s chin. Spotting an opening, Sandoval throws a cross and connects, following it up with a second and even a third.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Ooooh someone will not survive this. This pace is mad.

[With 2:30 on the clock, Sandoval gets a little more aggressive and swings rapidly. Zion takes the best of the brief exchange between the two, getting his shots in here and there as he can. Sandoval grabs ahold of Zion for the clinch and after a long struggle, Zion manages to break away from Sandoval’s attempt. Stepping backwards, Zion creates some distance between the two as if trying to cool down the fight for a bit.]

[3:10 on the clock and Zion is using the time seconds to recover and catch his breath. Studying Zion’s movements, Sandoval scans for just the tiniest hole in Zion’s defense to take advantage of. Sandoval sees something, stepping in towards Zion. Reacting instantly, Zion steps in as well, firing another high kick, this one even more vicious, to the side of Sandoval’s head!]

CARRICK PRICE

Fucks sake I don’t know what Ricardo saw there but I don’t think he thought it would be Zion nearly kicking his head off his shoulders.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

The fact he isn’t seeing the canvas, Lord. He’s up but Sandoval must have every duck spinning around his head right now. He seemed to think he had an angle but Zion closed that up. He looks sharp right now.

[Faking a punch with 3:50 on the clock, Zion shows his footwork abilities moving aside and then firing the shot seen throughout the entire arena and UAE nation! Sandoval stumbles backwards in a daze as his corner looks on in concern. Zion rushes him again and fires another punch to Sandoval’s head. Seeing enough, Jordan Ripley immediately steps in and breaks up the fight, ending the fight as Sandoval is unable to defend himself from serious injury. His nose is massively swollen, possibly even broken thus ending his night once and for all!]

CARRICK PRICE

I imagine that Sandoval might argue that Ripley stepped in too quickly but that’s one hundred percent the right call. Solid statement from Zion Momo’a here tonight, fella’s.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Agreed. Zion took the first round welcome and then it was all him from there. Sandoval’s eyes were rolled from that first high kick. He withstood a lot and Ripley was right on time. That nose is a bad enough sight.

JASON JACKSON
The Buzzsaw is back and in spectacular fashion!! That was a brawl! Sandoval looked good in the opening moments of this fight  but once Zion started landing and figuring out his timing.. It was a wrap. He called it in the RK presser. He said he was going to counter punch, sprawl and brawl, and knock him out. There’s no debating that stoppage. Ricardo was on Bambi legs and if the ref hadn’t  stepped in he’d be snoring on the canvas.

[Zion celebrates as the official ends the fight. Spotting the nearest camera on the other side of the cage, Zion rushes towards it with excitement and energy. Pounding his fists to the cage, he shouts at the camera, looking into it to deliver a message.]

ZION MOMO’A

Get me paid, Levi! REAL KILLAS MOTHRF--

[The crowd explodes into cheers and Momo’a is swarmed by his corner in celebration. Doctors tend to Sandoval for a while before eventually helping him to his feet. After the medical staff finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Jordan Ripley has called for a stop in this fight at four minutes six seconds in the very first round, declaring your winner by technical knockout, Zion “The Blasian Buzzsaw” Momo’a!

[The crowd cheers once again as Momo’a has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Openweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Striker holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 4-1. He stands 5’9”, and weighing in at 150 pounds. He is from Brisbane, Australia, fighting out of Yongsa Gym, presenting Tim “The Intimidator” Vu!

[Tim Vu glares at his opponent from the opposite corner as he rolls his shoulders to stay loose.]

CARRICK PRICE

It’s not often we get sequels to fights that don’t have a championship associated with them but here kicking off the openweight tournament we’ll see Tim Vu taking on Eamon Wojcik in their second fight, though only their first here in UGP with Eamon’s earlier victory coming under the Triumph brand. Things didn’t go so well for the Intimidator the first time around and he’s hoping to change that now. What’s he got to do?

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Stick and move. He’s smaller and we all know what that means. Tim Vu was very impressive against Arnie Dawe but, and no disrespect to Dawe BUT, this is not Arnie Dawe. Eamon looks like he can eat Arnie Dawe. So, stick and move Vu. Stick. And. Move. I would assume Vu learned something from their first encounter but has he learned enough to sway the scale. It’s a damn hard scale to sway.

JASON JACKSON

Yeah, Vu definitely can’t stand still in the center of the cage and throw leather with this bigger fighter. He’s going to have to use speed and agility here. He cannot win a slugfest. The key is going to be making this big corn fed Kentucky boy miss big and miss often. Tire him out and you might have a better chance. Fail to do that? Welp. He’s going to take your soul.

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 4-1. He stands 6’4”, and weighing in at 245 pounds. He is from Harlan County, Kentucky, fighting out of Hell’s Hollar MMA, presenting Eamon Wojcik!

[Eamon Wojcik paces back and forth in his corner, never taking his eyes off his opponent.]

CARRICK PRICE

For a lad like Eamon Wojcik these sorts of events are taylor made for him. He’s already won the TFC Championship, winning three times in one evening to do so. There’s likely more gifted fighters in this tournament, though. Do either of you think he has what it takes to be standing tall at the end of the openweight road?

TOUSSAINT HARPER

He’s definitely built to do it. I’m sure he’ll even agree that this talent pool isn’t like Triumph but that doesn’t make him any less of a threat to the field. We continue to bring talent from all over shows this is a product worth coming to and fighting for. Eamon Wojcik is the dark horse for me because he’s from outside of the company. This is the best way to introduce yourself.

JASON JACKSON

Take a good long look at this sumbitch. The size difference is crazy here but he has the boxing skill as well. This dude throws hammers and anvils when he swings. If he connects flush with Tim Vu, it doesn’t matter how good you are at evading… a shot like that is going to fuck up your luau. It’s going to ring your bell and put you down for a nap.

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[Eamon and Vu move forward as the bell signals the beginning of the fight. Tim Vu charges forward quickly and he strikes first with a vicious middle kick! The shot echoes out loudly  through the arena as Vu’s foot lands solid on Eamon's ribs! Vu follows up with some tentative punches, but none of them land solid. Vu circles out, and he  launches another kick but Eamon Wojcik avoids it and lands flush with a HUGE counter hook!]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

That’s a terrible alarm clock guys.

CARRICK PRICE

Vu is gonna feel that shite next month.

JASON JACKSON

Told you. Grown man punches.

[This baits Tim into  a brief punching exchange. The two box a bit and Eamon takes the advantage of the brawl. A right hand from Tim Vu misses its target, and Eamon Wojcik charges at Vu throwing a  flurry of left and right hand bombs.  Not many of the punches land, but the ones that do are huge! One in particular, a punishing left uppercut, rocks Vu hard and the crowd roars to life.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

No sticking, no moving. He’s going to die in 3….2….

JASON JACKSON

This kid Vu has heart. He’s actually trading with this big bastard. I don’t know if it’s SMART per se but hey… what do I know about fighting?

[The two fighters plant in the center of the cage and they exchange wildly, fueled by the fans. Eamon throws another uppercut that lands solidly and slices Vu’s chin open. Tim Vu is hurt badly! He stumbles backwards and he's an easy target for Eamon Wojcik! Wojcik launches a barrage of nasty punches that pins Tim against the fence.  A third NASTY uppercut finds a way home and Vu hits the ground hard! The crushing blow from Eamon Wojcik has left Tim Vu unconscious! What a finish by Eamon Wojcik!]

CARRICK PRICE

No doubt about that one, lads. Two different levels of athletes there. Credit to Vu for managing to keep standing for two minutes but this one was not close.

JASON JACKSON

JENGA!! He folded like a load of fresh towels. Credit to Vu for getting knocked the fuck out.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Medic!

[The crowd explodes into cheers and Eamon is swarmed by his corner in celebration. Doctors tend to Vu for a while before helping him to his feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Herschel Warden has called for a stop in this fight at two minutes twelve seconds in the very first round, declaring your winner by knockout, Eamon Wojcik!

[The crowd cheers once again as Wojcik has his hand raised in victory.

Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 1-1. She stands 5’7”, and weighing in at 145 pounds. She is from Kansas City, Missouri, fighting out of 9th World Performance Institute, presenting “Bullet” Blue Barrera!

[Blue Barrera shows no fear as she pounds her chest and lets out a battle cry to the roaring crowd.]

CARRICK PRICE

I honestly don’t know if this lass has all the heart and balls in the world, or if she’s just flat out ignorant. Or stupid. Whatever it is, it gets peoples eyes on her you have to give her that much. This isn’t Everest, though, nor is it the Union Battleground Guerrilla Warfare match. There’s not fifteen other people to worry about. It’s one man, looking to shut her up for the foreseeable future. And if that wasn’t bad enough, that man is the legend that is Daniel Fisk. Love him or hate him and what he’s building with Real Killas outside the cage, inside it you HAVE to take him deadly serious. I think the fact that Bullet doesn’t seem to is going to be her undoing, and quick.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

In a money making standpoint it’s perfect for her but is the price worth it? I support anyone who is looking at every opportunity and chance. This is an opportunity and chance. There’s the common thought, wearing yourself thin, unable to be at peak performance having to shift through both pro wrestling and MMA. People have defied that logic before and I’m sure Blue is looking to do the same but calling out one of the most dominant MMA fighters in the last 4 to 5 years? No baby no noooo.

JASON JACKSON

I’m going to answer your question here Carrick. It’s stupidity. There’s getting your name out there and then there’s acting like you’re the best thing since sliced bread when you’ve got a 1-1 record and did mediocre in a wrestling match. All I see is a loud mouthed kid out here jumping in a tank full of hungry sharks. Tonight the Megalodon eats her for dinner.

MIKE DEMPSEY

And her opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 25-5. He stands 6’4”, and weighing in at 240 pounds. He is from Los Angeles, California by way of Newark, New Jersey, he is the founder and fighting out of Real Killas MMA, he is the former two-time Union Grand Prix Cruiserweight Champion, presenting “.44” Daniel Fisk Jr.!

[Daniel Fisk throws up his fist and swings that into a Wakanda Forever salute. He grimfaces the camera pointing at his ‘Black Lives Matter’ mouthpiece. Right after his expression goes right back to pissed in the zone and ready to fight.]

CARRICK PRICE

Macto. Caged Glory. UGP. It doesn’t matter. This man has handled his business across any and all platforms. Tonight might just be one of those fights where he gets to show off. Taking nothing away from Barrera. I think she’ll be right in his face and not blink. But there’s a reason his name is synonymous with success, and that hasn’t changed.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

You forgot G2 as well. The second Openweight Champion from an outside promotion in this field. His last UGP fight was late 2019 when he lost the Cruiserweight Championship to Roscoe Robinson, again.  It’s been said before that his man is on the Mount Rushmore of this Era in MMA and I tend to agree. The only man to be his true kryptonite is his student. I’ve never always agreed with his thoughts or actions but the man is a dangerous man. I noticed his dejected nature during the Killa’s stream. He doesn’t look that way now.

JASON JACKSON

Fisk and I go back a ways. We’ve never formally fought but he and I have gone some rounds in the gym at Slaughta when we were prepping for fights. He lives for this shit. You hit him flush and if it doesn’t knock him out, he’s replying with a smile. He’s encouraging you to land more of those. In the end it deflates an opponent because it’s like “Jesus, fuck… what is it going to take to put him away?!” Roscoe found that answer but there hasn’t been many and I’m sorry but Blue Barrera is just going to be another statistic here tonight. I don’t think she remotely has what it takes and if she proves me wrong? Shit. I’ll buy her a new car. Personally.

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[The two come out at the bell and forego the glove touch to get things started right away. Fisk opens up by feinting a jab, before following up with a huge right hook to the body of Blue Barrera. The shot lands flush with enough impact to shatter a rib and Blue looks hurt already. She takes a step back to breathe for a moment, holding her side momentarily.]

CARRICK PRICE

Outside of getting knocked out cold right out of the gate, that might be the worst possible opening for Bullet. Look at how red her side is already.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

His fist marked her entire side. The size difference was already obvious but if that doesn’t tell you. Girl get out of there!

JASON JACKSON

Tsk-tsk. You hate to see it

[Fisk presses forward, but instead of backing down, Blue instead shows some heart by digging in and throwing a barrage of punches back at the larger fighter. The two exchange wildly, both landing some shots, but we see nothing too significant.  Blue circles out, but Fisk is a step ahead and he throws a leg kick that finds her outer thigh and stops her momentum. This is the opening he needs to shoot out a huge straight right down the pipe that immediately opens a cut above the right eye of Barrera and forces her to stumble back against the cage.]

JASON JACKSON

Eeee. Massive right hand splits Barrera open early. She leakin!!!

[Blue steps back forward again with her hands up, but Daniel Fisk catches her with a beautifully timed uppercut that breaks through the guard to smash into her face! Blue reels back again, stunned as her eye begins to swell from the shot, blood pouring down her face! Daniel Fisk moves forward, swinging for the fences! A Massive hook lands again that almost breaks Blue's jaw! Barrera is in big trouble here early!]

CARRICK PRICE

You’ve got to weather the storm, lass. Find a way to dig deep and fight through it. That’s what the big stage is all about. You wanted this, now you’ve got to earn it. Shite isn’t just about selling tickets and getting likes on social media.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

There’s no amount of ticket selling or likes that makes that hook worth it. She has the heart but God Christ Heaven this type of damage is not the way to do it. She has to keep him missing or guessing. He’s a freight train coming right now.

[Barrera is showing tremendous heart staying on her feet here as she’s taking a beating.  A high kick from Daniel Fisk grazes Blue's head, but she stays on her feet and wings a desperation punch. Fisk sees it coming a mile away and dodges to land an incredible haymaker that snaps  Blue Barrera's head backwards! Blue crumples to the mat and Fisk moves in to finish her, but the referee jumps in and stops the fight!]

CARRICK PRICE

Clinical. All there is to say about it. Onto the next one for Fisk in the Openweight bracket.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

That was harsh. The obvious experience difference but he didn’t have to---nevermind. Fisk moves on. Geez.

JASON JACKSON

Ugly. That was uggggggly. I told you. It’s eat or be eaten in this open weight tournament. You can’t use size as an excuse. You signed up for this young’n. Learn from it. And for gods sake think before you speak. You call yourself a lamb but tonight you were sacrificial.  You ran before you could walk.  Take your time in Everest and develop your skills. You can talk and draw numbers all day but talking isn’t fighting. You have to back it up and she’s  just not there yet.

[The crowd explodes into cheers and Fisk is swarmed by his corner crew in celebration. Fisk still doesn’t look pleased even though his corner is celebrating. The camera catches Fisk walking back from the celebration and points toward Dante Reed who is front row present in the crowd.]

DANIEL FISK JR.

Don’t ever do this shit to me again or I will beat your ass cuh. Not fucking with you.

[Doctors tend to Barrera for a while before helping her to her feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Dusty Whittaker has called for a stop in this fight at one minute twenty-seven seconds in the very first round, declaring your winner by knockout, “.44” Daniel Fisk Jr.!

[The crowd cheers once again as Fisk has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

Winner: Daniel Fisk by KO (Haymaker) at 1:27 Round 1

[The camera cuts to Savannah Skye sitting down with Cruiserweight #1 Contender Michael Santos.]

SAVANNAH SKYE

Ladies and gentlemen, introducing my guest at this time, Michael Santos.

[Michael nods at the camera.]

SAVANNAH SKYE

Now Michael, on Sunday you have your chance to become Cruiserweight Champion by defeating Roscoe Robinson. Many have stepped up to the seemingly unbeatable champion and have been turned away. Are you confident going into the fight?

MICHAEL SANTOS

As confident as I can be. I know my skills, and I know what I can bring. I know without a shadow of a doubt that I can beat Roscoe, but whether I will or not is the unknown that makes people wanna watch it. I know what I’m up against, I know that Roscoe could possibly be the GOAT of the Cruiserweights, he certainly is as of right now and that’s just fact. But he’s not unbeatable. He’s a man, and all men fall. If he’s smart he hasn’t taken me lightly and is gonna bring everything at me on Sunday, because if he doesn’t he can say goodbye to that title. I’m coming to knock him out and disappoint a lot of people. It's a big fight, and it's gonna be a good one regardless.

SAVANNAH SKYE

Speaking of it being a big fight, you are fighting in the co-main event position with Delaney versus Guilliman locking in the main event. Any reservations about your first title fight not being in the top spot?

[Michael gives her a confused and almost offended look.]

MICHAEL SANTOS

No? Why would I have? I could be fighting on the preshow for all I care if it was the same fight. I know the bigger people get the more they think their shit doesn’t stink but I’m not about that. I’ve got all the money i’ll ever need, fame is not a concern, none of that really matters. I could be just as happy with my family at home. I’m here in MMA, in Union, because I love combat sports. I love fighting. There is something about it that fires me up every time I see my name across from someone else’s no matter the sport or venue. That’s why if Roscoe beats me on Sunday it changes nothing. I’ll bounce back, and i’ll come at him even harder to take that strap. That Championship is going to be leaving with me, its just a matter of when.

SAVANNAH SKYE

I for one wouldn’t doubt you. Well Michael, thank you for your time.

[Michael nods at the camera again as it cuts away.]

WALKING THROUGH THE BADLANDS

I WATCH THE TYRANTS SCAR THE RED SANDS

THEIR GREED IS LIKE MORPHINE

DRILLING INTO THE VEINS WITH MACHINES

THE PUREST FOR OF EVIL THAT I'VE EVER SEEN

[The arena begins to dim as the soft intro to “Badlands” by In Hearts Wake begins to play. Just as the heavy metal guitar riff shreds through the PA system, the building explodes with blinding white lights. Michael Santos is illuminated by strobe lights as he walks out to the main stage. Santos never breaks stride and heads straight to the octagon with his corner crew following behind.]

CARRICK PRICE

Don’t think any of us will forget the series of unfortunate events that lead to that last second submission loss that Mike Santos suffered at the hands of Ardan Kelly. I would bet money that he hasn’t forgotten it, especially since it kept him away from this opportunity just a little while longer. But it’s his tonight in the headline bout, or co-main event, whatever they’re calling it. He’s got devastating power in his hands, lads. Perhaps more so than anyone the champ has faced up to this point. Do you think he’s a versatile enough fighter to stop a man who has been dominant since the day he stepped into UGP?

TOUSSAINT HARPER

No, unfortunately. I will admit I’m taking account of Santos vs Kelly when I say this. That fight was competitive but Kelly did luck out. I think we all can say that with confidence. It’s not being said in disrespect. Then to see what the Champ did to Kelly, at this stage of careers and skill Robinson is at a different place right now. It’s going to be competitive here too I have no doubt.

JASON JACKSON
I agree, Santos has “fuck you” power in his mitts but so does his opposition. Trust me. I know. I think it’s ultimately going to come down to a well timed punch landing flush and that can come from either side. I think the key here for Santos is to land early and land often and if he can’t? Tsk-tsk. It’s going to be a long night.

[Santos reaches the cageside area and begins to strip down to his trunks. He steps over to the fight official and gets inspected to ensure he’s fit to fight. Once he’s been cleared, he grabs a bottled water from one of his cornermen and takes a quick swig before handing it off and stomping his way up the steps. Santos goes straight to his corner, where he then shadow boxes to stay loose.]

[Within a matter of seconds, the entire arena goes from day to night mode, complete darkness.]

I WON’T DENY IT, I’M A STRAIGHT RIDAH

YOU DON’T WANNA FUCK WITH ME

GOT THE POLICE BUSTIN' AT ME

BUT THEY CAN’T DO NOTHING TO A G

[“Ambitionz Az A Ridah” by 2Pac plays throughout the arena, green laser lights shooting in all directions as the fans begin to stir.]

LET’S GET READY TO RUMMMMMMMBBLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

[A spotlight shines down onto the entrance way as Roscoe Robinson bursts out from the back, drawing an even louder reaction from the fans as the UGP Cruiserweight Champion makes his entrance.]

[“The Shooter” overlooks the crowd from the entrance, bobbing his head with the beat of the music. His trunks are black, the same pistol in a holster we’re used to seeing stitched on his right hip in neon green, the Monster Energy logo covering the left side of his trunks and the cbdMD logo on his lower right. He wears a black shirt with large blue letters across the front of it reading ‘KILLAS’. Glistening in the bright lights shining down upon him, the UGP Cruiserweight Championship rests around his waist.]

[With his entourage of coaches now stepping out from the back and standing behind him, Roscoe bounces back and forth to stay loose before heading towards the cage - a warrior walking out onto the battlefield.]

CARRICK PRICE

I don’t know that we’ll ever see another card stacked with as much talent as there is on this one. And it’s not just talent in the cage, either. I saw on twitter a few days back that Roscoe Robinson, the Shooter himself, is a math professor as well. I’m not sure if it’s geometry or something else, but hey. He’s talented inside and outside of the cage it seems.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Yes, the jabs have been noticed with the Shooter. He known for his fair share of twitter antics and it seems to continue as he comes into this defense. The claim for the best wanting to be sung from every mouth. The Superfight due after this Championship fight giving a lot of people something to talk about. I didn’t know he was skilled to that end. Makes sense he definitely has been solving the equations in the cage. He’s won 11 of his last 12 and I’ve always enjoyed him as a champion compared to well, others.

JASON JACKSON
Everyone knows the history between Roscoe and I. I don’t have to dive into that. But to be honest over the last year or so we’ve squashed that shit and I’ve become a pretty big fan of the reigning champ. Roscoe is a true force to be reckoned with in that cage and Mike Santos SAYS that he’s ready but you can say you’re ready all day. When that cage closes and the Shooter starts landing those shots? Your gameplan goes out the window and it’s all about survival at that point. I hope that Santos can weather the storm and at least put up a fight. Otherwise he’s going to get waaaaaaasted.

[Once at cageside, Roscoe stands tall, staring at the door leading into the battlefield. A camera comes in for a closer look, catching the attention of “The Shooter” as he turns to it and leans in for a closeup, yelling into it in unison with the lyrics of the ongoing music. Pulling his head away from the camera, Roscoe pounds his fists together before turning to the cage and running up the steps. Bursting into the cage, Roscoe runs across the mat and leaps to pull himself on top of the cage. Sitting on it momentarily, he removes the UGP Cruiserweight Championship from his waist, raising it above his head. Dropping down to the mat, he hands the championship to the referee before removing his shirt and tossing it over the cage and out into the crowd.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the Co-Main Event of the evening! Our three judges scoring this contest at cageside are Samir el-Azer, Mahmood al-Ahmad, and Abdul Lateef el-Azad, and when the action begins, our referee in charge in the octagon is Willie Green. AND NOW, this is the moment you’ve all been waiting for! The following contest is scheduled for five rounds and it is for the Union Grand Prix Cruiserweight Championship! Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 4-2. He stands 6’2”, and weighing in at 225 pounds. He is from Melbourne, Australia, fighting out of Throne MMA, he is the number ranked Cruiserweight Contender in the World, presenting “The Punisher” Michael Santos!

[Michael Santos looks very relaxed yet laser focused in his corner.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 12-2. He stands 6’1”, and weighing in at 215 pounds. He is from Long Beach, California by way of Atlanta, Georgia, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, he is the reigning, defending, undisputed Union Grand Prix Cruiserweight Champion of the World, presenting “The Shooter” Roscoe Robinson!

[Roscoe Robinson looks like he has been waiting for this fight forever as he bounces in place to keep loose.]

CARRICK PRICE

With the introductions done, do you think we hear AND STILL or AND NEW tonight? Easy money is on Roscoe according to the polling of our fanbase on twitter.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

The defending champion wins over the public once again. You can’t deny the path he’s been on and until someone gives the people reason to question, they won’t.

JASON JACKSON
I think Roscoe leaves with his belt. Santos is a good fighter but very few men are Roscoe Robinson Caliber.

OG_RD1.png

[Roscoe Robinson and Michael Santos touch gloves in the center to get this fight started! The two men immediately step back in and engage in a wild exchange of punches, Michael Santos is getting the best of the exchange as he lands a clean shot to the ribs and a straight right to the chin, opening a small cut. Roscoe steps back to find his range and throws a middle kick that Santos blocks with his arm, before Mike closes the distance again, the two men again exchanging punches with Santos connecting with a few solid hits. Again Roscoe steps back, this time throwing a furious low kick but Santos manages to check it. However, as soon as his foot touches the ground, Robinson fires off a brutal high kick to Santos’s head, sending him back a step. Roscoe follows up and throws a looping right hand, but Santos dodges to the side, using the position to grab Roscoe’s right leg for a takedown. Roscoe manages to keep his balance and pushes Mike away, before connecting flush on the chin with a spinning backfist! ]

CARRICK PRICE

Great opening exchange between both men with Roscoe probably coming out with a little more damage dealt. There’s no mistaking that cut on his chin, though.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

I can see Mike wants to keep it close. Once again, smart. Roscoe kicks and punches soundly. The clinch, the ground, take your pick but he cannot let the Champ get his range. He’s starting to warm up.

JASON JACKSON
I mean it’s a decent enough game plan. Logically if you stay in his face he can’t hit you with those big shots. YOU THOUGHT! He creates the space and lands crazy shit like that spinning backfist out of nowhere. He adapts and that’s why he’s a champion. It doesn’t matter where this fight goes. The champ is ready.

[Roscoe keeps the pressure on as Mike stands his ground, the two men exchanging again, his time Roscoe getting the upper hand after a smooth jab cross combination. However, instead of backing off, Mike counters with a combination of his own, finishing with a solid uppercut to the jaw, opening up that cut a little more and causing some bruising around the mouth. Roscoe throws a pulverising haymaker to Mike’s head, but he manages to slip it only to catch a nice one-two combination on the chin. He then throws a vicious middle kick, but Santos moves backwards to dodge it, before stepping back in and connecting with another solid combination of punches.]

CARRICK PRICE

My biggest concern right now for Santos is that the speed that Roscoe throws his strikes with is clearly quicker than Santos ability to react to them. He slipped that haymaker nicely but couldn’t escape the follow up.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Which is why he gotta take advantage of these moments where he’s on the upper. I know the last takedown attempt didn’t end well but he’s gotta watch out here, this is where Roscoe is at his best.

[Santos looks for angles as he throws a few jabs that are countered by Roscoe Robinson's punches, before the two men wildly throw again, Santos measuring the resilience of Robinson's chin with an uppercut while Robinson lands some great crosses. Santos tries to stay in the pocket but Robinson moves back enough to land a massive head kick, opening up a small cut on Mike’s nose, both men now bleeding as Santos looks a little groggy. Roscoe throws a powerful haymaker that Mike manages to dodge, before he comes alive with a rapid series of punches taking Robinson from one end of the cage to the other. As soon as Roscoe’s back hits the cage he senses the danger and spins out to the middle of the cage, only to be blasted with a right hook straight to the face! Roscoe Robinson is caught off balance and slips to the ground! Santos smiles at him and steps back, allowing Roscoe to get back his feet, who does so quickly.]

CARRICK PRICE

Knocked him down but don’t get cocky, Mike. That man will put you in your grave.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

A nice little moment of chess. I like it but you are right Carrick, what you don’t want to do is allow a Shooter to his feet.

JASON JACKSON
Too cocky. You don’t let him back up like that. We saw this earlier with Zion letting Sandoval back to his feet but Roscoe Robinson is NOT Ricardo Sandoval. You just fucked up a-a-ron. You should’ve stayed on his ass.

[Roscoe throws a looping left hand that Santos moves aside and dodges, but sets himself up for an uppercut to the face, his left eye beginning to swell. Both men once again wildly exchange punches, both connecting solidly on each other as they are leaving everything out in that cage. Roscoe Robinson hops back and delivers another powerful kick to Mike’s head, this one stunning him as Roscoe closes to finish him off. Santos explodes with a huge surprise haymaker, Roscoe moving at the last second so it only grazes his chin, a small blood spray seen as he spins and smashes into Mike’s jaw with a huge spinning backfist! Santos hits the ground hard! That crushing blow from Roscoe Robinson has left Santos unconscious! What a finish by Roscoe Robinson!]

CARRICK PRICE

OHHHHHHHHHH SHITE! That spinning backfist sounded like a gunshot when it hit, pun absolutely intended, and this one IS. ALL. OVER.

JASON JACKSON
Bet you that he regrets letting him back up now. I told you. You hate to see it.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

FUCKING!! CHRIST!!! HOLY!! DAMN!!

JASON JACKSON
You hate to see it… [Audible Laughter]

CARRICK PRICE

So close to getting back to his corner and getting to regroup too. That’s tough.

[The crowd explodes into cheers and Roscoe is swarmed by his corner crew in celebration. Doctors tend to Santos for a while before eventually helping him to his feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Willie Green has called for a stop in this fight at four minutes fifty-two seconds in the very first round, declaring your winner by knockout, AND STILL the Union Grand Prix Cruiserweight Champion of the World, “The Shooter” Roscoe Robinson!

[The crowd cheers once again as Robinson has his hand raised in victory and the title wrapped around his waist by Dante Reed. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

Pop-Pop-Pop

[On the heels of a Cruiserweight championship fight the scene transitions from celebration to a video feed of Delaney Donovan snapping off punches to a heavy bag, bobbing and weaving his way around it, and then cracking a kick that one might imagine the Lightweight Champion unloading on the body of the Primarch, self proclaimed greatest of all time. The green and orange of the ScrapYard brand decorate the walls fuzzily in the background as the camera’s focus draws in on Delaney. Half a moment later a voice cuts in, the sounds from Delaney’s work on the heavy bag fading as the familiar voice of the middleweight champions statements in the build up to his fight at UGP 20 echo loudly.]

ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)

There is the very own Lightweight Champion Delaney Donovan calling my name as the man to fight. And why is that?

[With a flash of light as bright as lightning the video feed cuts to raucous cheers at the conclusion of the 2019 Lightweight Grand Prix. Delaney and Natalie meet in the center of the cage, half embracing and half just holding each other up after a war of a fight that would win Fight of the Year accolades.]

CARRICK PRICE (Voice over)

IT’S ALL OVER! What an absolute war. Just look at the two of them. They’ve both left everything in that cage, Harpy, and that’s all that you can ask out of anyone.

TOUSSAINT HARPER (Voice over)

Thrilling from start to finish and, incredibly, over the course of a twenty five minute championship fight not one second was spent on the ground. We witnessed expert striking. Vicious kicks. Incredible technique in the clinch. And, more than anything else, two fighters who were content to keep swinging until their bodies gave out on them or time ran out. And, incredibly, it was time that came to its end first.

CARRICK PRICE (Voice over)

Now it’s up to the judges, Harpy, and I don’t envy them one bit. Not for a single second would I want to be any of those three at this point in time. But listen to the love that this New York crowd is showing for both of these fighters.

[The crowd continues to cheer on both fighters as they get worked on by the medical team. Doctors and their corner crew work on each fighter, trying to re-hydrate and bandage them up. Once medics and corner crews finish their work, both fighters head back to the center of the cage for the official’s decision.]

MIKE DEMPSEY (Voice over)

Ladies and gentlemen, after five rounds, we head to the judges’ scorecards. Judge Miranda Franco scores it 48-47 Donovan, Judge Max Carver score it 48-47 King, and Judge Ozzie Sebastian scores is 48-47 for your winner by split decision, AND NEW Union Grand Prix Lightweight Champion, “Double D” Delaney Donovan!

[Another flash and the scene switches to another fight, when UGP took over Ireland and Carrick Price took on Delaney Donovan in a “superfight” of their own. Donovan presses the action immediately. The two exchange in another series of wild punches and Donovan gets the best of the exchange, landing a few of his strikes. More punches continue to land as Price tries to cover up and defend. Rapid flurries of punches take Price from one end of the cage to another. And then BAM! A big haymaker flattens him and Dusty Whittaker quickly jumps in to halt the fight as the crowd explodes from their seats while the medics quickly pour into the ring. Donovan sprints to the fence and elevates himself up onto it, holding his arms up in the air and conducting the crowd as they begin to sing in unison.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER (Voice over)

WOW! What a massive knockout to end the night! I think we’ve witnessed a true passing of the torch tonight, Jason. Carrick Price has meant everything to this sport in Ireland for a while now. But listen to this crowd. Listen to how much they love this man. He is truly their champion.

JASON JACKSON (Voice over)

Oh. My. God. Man.. that was… wow. I’m at a loss for words.

MIKE DEMPSEY (Voice over)

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Dusty Whittaker has called for a stop in this fight at two minutes seventeen seconds in the third round, for your winner by knockout, “Double D” Delaney Donovan!

[Yet again the scene flashes and shifts, this time to Donovan vs. King II, a familiar scene to most UGP fans. Delaney sees his opportunity to counter here and he connects with a world shattering overhand that lands pin point on the jaw of Natalie King, spraying the canvas with a splatter of her blood. Natalie is wobbled from the massive shot here but she shows tremendous heart and does her best to go on the back pedal to stay on her feet and stay in the fight.  Delaney sees this as his shot to end the fight and retain his title though, so he swarms king with a flurry of hard punches. King blocks the majority of them, but the last punch, a brutal right hook, hits hard on Natalie King's chin and She crumples to the mat. Donovan is all over her with follow up punches, and Jordan Ripley is watching closely, asking King to defend herself. It becomes clear seconds later that Natalie is eating way too much punishment so Ripley jumps in between the fighters and stops the title fight in the first round.]

CARRICK PRICE (Voice over)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! FUCK YES LAD! LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO!!!!

JASON JACKSON (Voice over)

WHAT THE FUCK! I got her blood on me all the way over here! Holy shit! It’s a massacre! It’s like the doors just opened to the elevator on the shining. Look at this shit! Someone get me a wet wipe.

[The crowd explodes into cheers and Donovan is swarmed by his corner in celebration. Doctors tend to King for a while before helping her up to her feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Jordan Ripley has called for a stop in this fight at four minutes and thirty-eight seconds in the very first round, for your winner by technical knockout, AND STILL Union Grand Prix Lightweight Champion, “Double D” Delaney Donovan!

[Fights with August Pope and Bellamy Silva come in rapid succession now with the focus falling entirely on Mike Dempsey’s call of “And Still” over and over again. Shots of Double D with his arms raised in the air, the Lightweight Championship belt being wrapped around his waist, flood the feed.]

DELANEY DONOVAN (Voice over)

I have never been the man who gets on social media and talks shite. I prefer to let my work in the cage to most of the talking for me. But you were right, Bobby, it was me who was calling your name. It was me who wanted this fight. It was me who wanted to push beyond the Lightweight division for something more. So when it’s all over. When the fans have all gone home. When the tape has been removed from our hands and the blood and sweat has been washed away.

[A series of quick snapshots of the impact of Delaney’s knockout victories throughout his career rush the screen and then it goes dark. A second passes as Double D’s words hang on the air before the scene comes back with Delaney, hands placed up against the heavy bag holding it steady, and looking straight into the camera.]

DELANEY DONOVAN

It was me who came for your neck.

[He smiles easily, takes a step back and draws his fist upward and backward, unleashing a punch as the promo plunges into darkness. The screen fills with the banner image for UGP 23 and then we’re off to commercial break.]

UGP14_ITC_GUILLIMAN.png

[The heavy toll of bells is the first thing that is heard as the camera shows the sun rising, in fast motion, over the Real KILLAS camp. Inside, UGP Middleweight Champion “The Primarch” Robert Guilliman is shown kneeling before the wall that holds the belts that the fighters of the camp have earned throughout time.]

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)
It could be said that I have done it all up to this point. I have won the UGP Middleweight Title…

UGP 8    _

[A grave toll of the bell, and a flashback to UGP# 8. Guilliman fakes a low kick and switches up to a high kick! Bonanno gets rocked and hits the ground like a rag doll!]

TOUSSAINT HARPER (Voice over)

It’s all over! I don’t believe it! Robert Guilliman is the NEW Union Grand Prix Middleweight Champion!

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)
I have defended it…

UGP 10    _

[Another toll of the bell, and another flashback to UGP# 10. Guilliman launches a vicious head kick that connects clean! Bonanno crumples to the mat and Guilliman moves in to finish him!]

TOUSSAINT HARPER (Voice over)

And it’s all over! The Primarch finishes this one off with lethal precision…!

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)
I have broken records with it, I have won a tournament...

UGP 15    _

[One more toll of the bell, and one more flashback to UGP #15. Guilliman sets up a remarkable tornado kick! Byron McCall gets starched and hits the ground like a rag doll!]

TOUSSAINT HARPER (Voice over)

And this one is all over! The Primarch does it again!

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)
I have even recaptured it once it was lost…

UGP 18    _

[The bell tolls one more time, and this time a flashback to UGP 18. Guilliman launches a Pelé kick that lands shin-to-chin on Asher Jrue, and “Simba” crumples like a sack full of bricks on the canvas, stiff as a board.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER (Voice over)

UNBELIEVABLE! Robert Guilliman stops this fight with a head kick on the ground…

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)
… and I have defended it one more time.

UGP 20    _

[Again does the bell toll, and final flashback to the Primarch’s last fight. Guilliman switches his kick into a Question Mark kick, and with Zion Momo’a’s guard low, there’s nothing he can do to block the impact. Guilliman’s kick drops another challenger, and he knows it.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS (Voice over)

Once again, The Primarch Robert Guilliman stands tall at the top of the Middleweight division…

MIKE DEMPSEY (Voice over)

… AND STILL the undisputed Union Grand Prix Middleweight Champion of the World, “The Primarch” Robert  Guilliman!

[The camera cuts to a close-up of the UGP Middleweight Title, polished to a clean sheen and shining bright...]

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)
But never thus far, never ‘til now, have I been in a Superfight. And that is, quite frankly, the biggest and most important fight of them all.

[... before the scene transitions to the cage, with Guilliman, already in his ultramarine trunks and T-shirt, wobbling a heavy bag with one of his signature battering ram kicks as the bell tolls one final time.

At this point, the camera shows the scene from UGP #21 that made this fight happen.]

UGP 21    _

DELANEY DONOVAN

I’ve nearly begged for a “dream” fight against Guilliman but instead all I hear is the continued slurping of Roscoe and Pluggz d- That’s the big dream fight. That’s the one that Dante is going to give. So I don’t know, Hadley. Tell me what sort of respect, and what sort of appreciation, this company has for me. Tell me what sort of respect they have for the continued building of a fan base in Ireland.

[Shaking his head, Delaney stands up and begins to pull at the cords attached to his shirt.]

DELANEY DONOVAN

… Pass the message along to Dante that I’m not fighting again until I’m shown the respect I’ve earned. The same respect he’s so willing to show every other champion in the company.

[After this scene, the camera cuts back to the Real KILLAS camp, to the center of the cage, and to a close-up of the Primarch, draping the Middleweight Title belt on his shoulder. There can be no mistake as to the seriousness and determination in his eyes, as he stares straight at the camera, and utters one simple sentence.]

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN
So be it.

[Fast forward to the present day, where Guilliman is training his punches and kicks combination into a heavy bag, under the watchful eye of BJJ Coach Cipriano Carvalho].

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)
I understand Delaney’s frustration. Not many times have my fights been Main Events. The last time I have been in action here in UGP has been in May, and it is now October. And that is why I have also signed up to the Openweight Tournament, long before it was even ready - because even though there SHOULD be nothing more for me to prove, I always seek something. Which is, among several other reasons, why I decided to put my title on the line tonight.

[This time the camera cuts to Guilliman inside the cage, with a sparring partner on the opposite side, and Coach Cipriano Carvalho motioning for them to begin. They both circle each other and the partner throws several stiff jabs and crosses, but all of them miss their mark, and Guilliman goes for a middle kick that pushes him away! The partner takes some steps back to create distance, but that gives the Primarch the opportunity to go for a question mark kick that catches him right on the temple! The partner is rocked and Guilliman moves in, but Coach Carvalho steps in between them!]

BJJ COACH CIPRIANO CARVALHO
Bom, muito bom! Superfight ou não, este título fica com o homem que fez a divisão sua!

(Good, very good! Superfight or not, this title stays with the man that made the division his own!)

[The camera transitions to Guilliman back at the heavy bag, landing furious shot after furious shot while Coach Carvalho nods in approval.]

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)
But unlike him, I don’t feel the need to make demands of the company. I simply prove my worth, time and time again, and make the challenges I have even more difficult. And now here we are. The biggest fight in the history of mixed martial arts. Everything for me is on the line - the Middleweight Title, the respect of my fellow Middleweight and KILLA Travis Decker, and perhaps my entire credibility after two years of endless toiling for the camp and the company. But it is my DUTY as a KILLA, and a Champion, to prove one more time that no matter how great the challenge is, no matter how DIRE the circumstances are, there is but one person that the Real KILLAS camp and Union GP may count on to take that responsibility. For duty is never shirked, and only in death does duty end.

[Back to the cage, and the sparring partner goes for a clinch - but Guilliman is wise enough to prevent him from approaching with a weave back and an uppercut that impacts on the partner’s chin! Guilliman lands an one-two combination and the partner steps back, and this time the Primarch sweeps him to the ground with a low kick that mimics an axe chopping down a tree.]

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)
And my duty this time takes me into untrodden ground - unknown territory. I do not know what my chances of survival are, so I fight as if they were zero. I do not know what I am facing, so I fight as if it was death itself. Should I fall here, there will be perhaps the greatest fall Union GP will have ever seen in history, so I shall build my own memorial here. Travis Decker may never forgive me and perhaps the entire Real KILLAS will regret it, but Delaney Donovan, and Union GP - they will know. They will remember. Union GP will be so badly shaken that it will never forget my name until the stars burn out at the end of time. When Delaney hits the ground, his last thought will be of me. That is my memorial - carved into the heart of Union GP.

[The camera transitions to the camp’s outer grounds, upon which the rays of the brightly lit sun in the spotless summer sky hit, and where Robert Guilliman is running, pulling a tractor tire harnessed to his back. In the sweltering day, Guilliman’s almost superhuman effort is made all the more harder - but he finishes his sprint, and drops down to a knee, wiping beads of sweat from his brow.]

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)
The time has come to protect my legacy, that of the Real KILLAS, and the Middleweight Title, in the grandest stage of all. And as the Emperor protects…

[One final transition, in which back inside of the cage, a sweat-drenched Primarch holds up the Union GP Middleweight Title belt in the air, before the camera cuts into one final close-up.]

“THE PRIMARCH” ROBERT GUILLIMAN (Voice over)
… so shall I.

[Fade to black.]

HER BREATH BEGAN TO SPEAK

AS SHE STOOD RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME

THE COLOUR OF HER EYES

WERE THE COLOUR OF INSANITY

CRUSHED BENEATH HER WAVE

LIKE A SHIP, I COULD NOT REACH THE SHORE

WE’RE ALL JUST DANCERS ON THE DEVIL’S DANCE FLOOR

["Devil’s Dance Floor" by Flogging Molly blasts over the loudspeaker and Delaney Donovan emerges to the stage wearing his Irish flag inspired walkout fight kit with crew members from his camp following behind. Donovan burrows his head down while slowly walking down the aisle.]

CARRICK PRICE

It’s been a quick night of fights up to this point and, in all honesty, I think things have gone as we might have expected them too. As we all just saw Roscoe Robinson retained with an impressive knock out victory over Michael Santos late in the first. But now, it’s Super Fight time and the challenger, Delaney Donovan, looks focused and ready to go. This is the fight he asked for and there’s no turning back now. I think he’s as ready as anyone can ever be for a fight like this. He’s on an eight fight win streak, tied with Pluggz Rozier for the longest in UGP history, and he looks to become the first ever double champion.  But what does he have to do in order to be successful, guys? He’s giving up size. He’s giving up reach. And we all know how fast Guilliman’s kicks come at you.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

This one can’t be a quick one. I refuse to believe it if for no other reason these are two battle beaten fighters. This isn’t new to either and they are aware of the stakes. This is a chance to become what no one in UGP has done. History to be made tonight with this Superfight. This is the man right now. Every single step earned and fought for. This will be the decider. Does he cash in on the biggest move of 2020 here? He will have to dodge the death kicks. I think everyone in the MMA world has that down as the first step vs Guilliman.

JASON JACKSON
What does he have to do? Not get kicked in the fuckin’ head. That’s gameplan number 1. He’s got the ability to avoid those big shots so I think he needs to counter fight Guilliman here. Make him miss and make him pay. We’ve seen that Rob can be knocked out, so Double needs to just find that window and land that motherfucker punch to put this away. He’s just gotta avoid getting kicked in the head. Which is no easy feat.

[Donovan makes it to cageside where he is checked up on by the fight official. Once cleared, he climbs up the steps and calmly takes his place in his corner while shadow boxing along the way.]

"ANGELS OF DEATH" BY DOYLE D. DONEHOO

BEGINS TO PLAY

[The arena lights die down for a brief moment as the chords of "Angels of Death by Doyle D. Donehoo blare throughout the P.A. system, then flicker between blue and white as "The Primarch" Robert Guilliman strides out of the entrance. The crowd grows with cheers to show their adoration for the lethal champion. Guilliman makes his way down the aisle with members of the Real Killas camp following close behind.]

CARRICK PRICE

The champion makes his way to the cage and you can tell the fans here in Abu Dhabi love him. I don’t see how anyone couldn’t, at the very least, respect him. He’s putting all his cards on the table here with the Middleweight Championship on the line. Still, the oddsmakers have him as the favorite in this fight and understandably so. He’s fighting at his natural weight and he has ruled this division with an iron fist outside of one single, solitary slip up against Asher Jrue that is looking more and more like an anomaly than we might have initially thought. If Guilliman is going to walk out of here with his belt still around his waist, what does he need to do? Is there anything you’d like to see him avoid?

TOUSSAINT HARPER

Not to sound the slow obvious but it doesn’t get any clearer, he will have to connect. Double D is a strong striker that can move. Guilliman doesn’t like movers. He likes to stick power behind those kicks. He doesn’t kick for points, he kicks to kill you. Those that don’t like him it’s because he’s still that good even with the kicks being the focus. Then he slips the punch you weren't expecting and opens you up more. He’s always been able to mix it in well and time it right. He needs to keep to what he knows if he gets outside his field that’s been the fights that gave him trouble.

JASON JACKSON
Yeah that’s the big thing here. Can he land that kick on a moving target? We can refer back to his fights with Momo’a, who is also good at avoiding damage. He managed to land those kicks  against him but Double D is a different breed. He’s the champ for a reason as well. If Guilliman is going to land one of those lethal kicks he’s going to have to time it well because Delaney isn’t going to be standing still very often. That’s for sure.  Guilliman looks focused here and ready to go. It’s going to be a good one.

[Guilliman marches down the aisle decidedly, with a heavy air of concentration about him, then salutes solemnly to the audience and staff. He finally reaches the cageside, where he strips down and gets checked by the fight official. Once he’s been cleared, he enters the cage and starts a small warm-up routine.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the Main Event of the evening! Our three judges scoring this contest at cageside are Samir el-Azer, Mahmood al-Ahmad, and Abdul Lateef el-Azad, and when the action begins, our referee in charge in the octagon is Jordan Ripley. AND NOW, this is the moment you’ve all been waiting for! The following contest is scheduled for five rounds and it is for the Union Grand Prix Middleweight Championship! Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Muay Thai Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 12-1. He stands 5’9”, and weighing in at 185 pounds. He is from Belfast, Northern Ireland, fighting out of The ScrapYard MMA: LA, he is the undisputed Union Grand Prix Lightweight Champion, presenting “Double D” Delaney Donovan!

[Delaney Donovan looks very relaxed in his corner as he paces back and forth.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 11-2. He stands 6’1”, and weighing in at 185 pounds. He is from Los Angeles, California, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, he is the reigning, defending, undisputed Union Grand Prix Middleweight Champion of the World, presenting “The Primarch” Robert Guilliman!

[Robert Guilliman bows his head with the utmost honor and respect to the roaring cheers of the crowd.]

CARRICK PRICE

Here we go, lads. We’ve been waiting for ages, it seems. Back in early 2020, after Delaney beat The Bandit for a second time, is when we started hearing whispers about this potential fight. Now that it’s here, who are you betting on? Personally, my heart is with Delaney but I think Guilliman takes this with a fourth round TKO and I believe it will win not just fight of the night, but fight of the year.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

I want to say Guilliman due to this being his natural weight class and he seems to catch everyone with the kicks. Delaney has worked well in adding the weight and when you can clinch that in and put the power in. I will still go with Guilliman but I’m not going to shortchange Delaney at all here. He’s a Champion without doubt and this will be a fight of the year contender.

JASON JACKSON
It’s a hard call. Rob has everything to lose here and when you back someone into a corner like that they either capitalize, or they cave. I’m interested to see which way it goes here. I know that if Guilliman loses this title here, he’s going to have a long line of motherfuckers that are going to be saaaaaalty. I hope for his sake that he retains.

OG_RD1.png

[Anticipation builds in Abu Dhabi as Primarch and Double D stare across the octagon at one another, neither man looking stressed by the other. Neither man looking overwhelmed by the moment. This is what both men have been waiting for. This is what the Union Grand Prix fans have been waiting for. The moment is finally here, a superfight of epic proportions. Jordan Ripley, well aware of the magnitude of this moment, lets the anticipation build before looking back and forth to both men one last time. And then, with a flourish of his hands the bell sounds and the round begins. Guilliman and Donovan move forward both move forward with purpose and the tension in the building is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Right away, Primarch looks to engage but Donovan smartly backs off and circles, looking for his angles.]

[As always, Guilliman doesn’t ever seem to stop going forward and that doesn’t change now. He looks to be in fantastic shape and he opens the fight with a solid shot to the body that the Lightweight Champion clearly doesn’t like at all. Quickly, Primarch follows it up with a right hand that could have turned the lights out on the fight if Donovan’s excellent head movement hadn’t seen him duck just under it. As he retreats, Delaney throws a low kick to ease the pressure from Primarch for half a moment, but it comes nowhere close to landing. Pressure continues to mount from the Middleweight king, throwing a crisp uppercut and a stiff jab that Donovan just manages to deflect. Using Guilliman’s aggression against him, Donovan steps inside Primarch’s range and ties him up into a clinch.]

CARRICK PRICE

This was a major part of the game plan and preparation for Delaney leading up to this fight. You can’t just stand back and let Guilliman kick your head off, and Double has shown himself to be talented enough in the clinch that I know they felt like there might be an advantage there. Keeping him tied up, at the very least, keeps Primarch from kicking Double’s head into the eighth row.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

First fighter tonight to actually take into account the proportions of the kicks and range. Well I won’t say take into account, I’ll say put it into full action. This is where he wants to be if he’s going to withstand the aggression of Primarch.

JASON JACKSON
I agree, Harpy. Lots of people take it into account, but it’s different to put it into effect. It’s a smart move to stay in close where he can only use his hands and can’t uncork that headkick.

[Both men tussle as Guiliman tries to push Donovan away to keep the fight at striking range, but Donovan pummels through and maintains his grapple. Both men battle for position before Bobby sees his opening and manages to shove Double D away, throwing a flurry of hooks and body shots as he tries to separate but Delaney presses forward and once more locks Primarch back down. A little over a minute in the round Guilliman throws a flurry of punches that force Delaney to defend, ducking under and circling out. Yet again Primarch maintains his aggression but perhaps too much so as Donovan surprises him with a solid right that catches Bobby on the chin. The punch lands hard enough to cause a bit of swelling on the Middleweight Champion’s chin.]

JASON JACKSON
Oof. That was a solid shot there. I see some swelling already starting to show from that punch. GUilliman needs to slow it down here and not walk into a big shot.

[There’s no end to fight in Robert Guilliman, though, and the stiff right that he had just received from Delaney only seems to embolden him, and the two men exchange wildly right in the center of the octagon sending the crowd into a frenzy. A gasp radiates throughout the building as Delaney steps forward and Guilliman catches him with a powerful uppercut. Instinctively they stand, almost as though they expect Double D to crumble but he manages to shake it off and narrowly avoid the inside leg kick that Guilliman followed up with. Rapidly, Guilliman chases him down and fires off more low kicks but Donovan’s agility and his ability to avoid punishment shine through, leaving Primarch with little to show for his efforts.]

TOUSSAINT HARPER

This will put a strain on your cardio. Having to chase. Delaney is working on a good process here. Not to say Guilliman is the type to get frustrated but he will get tired of this. Every fighter does.

CARRICK PRICE

Having been in the cage with him I can tell you that one of the must frustrating things about dealing with Double is that he’s just so hard to fucking hit. He reads his opponents strikes like nobody I’ve ever fought, or worked with. Not even you, J.

JASON JACKSON
Well, I’m not a wirey little fuck like him either. I was good at moving my head and getting out of the way but he’s springy and quick. A lot quicker that I ever was. I could read strikes all day but if I couldn’t react and get out of the way then I had to absorb that shot. Double here just be-bops his ass out of the way and leaves you swinging at the air. He’s really something else, and a handful for anyone that shares the cage with him.

[It doesn’t matter, though, because as Delaney tries to answer Bobby avoids the kick he had thrown and responds with a counter hook that, once more, has the fans expecting to see Donovan fall. Opposite of expectations in the moment, Donovan retaliates with a series of jabs that turn into another combo. While he might not have the volume advantage up to this point in the first round, the strikes that he has landed are leaving their mark and much like Guilliman’s chin, his right cheek now shows early signs of swelling as well.]

JASON JACKSON
And BOY can he eat a fucking shot too. He’s got a chin made of steel.

[Pawing at Donovan with a jab, more as a distraction than anything else, Primarch uncharacteristically misses a step and Donovan crushes him with a huge haymaker that lands like a wrecking ball. Now it seems as though the fans expect Guilliman to fall but it isn’t to be. Both men are smiling as they begin to throw bombs once more, wildly exchanging but it’s Donovan who emerges from the exchange with more ground gained. Undeterred, Guilliman launches a liver kick but as has been the case early on, Donovan blocks the kick and shoves Primarch away, buying himself the space he needs. Never stopping, Robert Guilliman continues to come forward, throwing a looping right hand as Donovan steps back out of its range and jabs, staggering Guilliman momentarily. This time it’s Bobby who pushes Donovan away and takes a step back, his hands falling to his sides momentarily as he tries to recover his breath.]

CARRICK PRICE

All that aggression early on looks to be taking its toll. But if you look at Bobby you can tell he’s in incredible shape. And I doubt anything is going to stop him from pushing the fight. It’s what he does. He just swarms you and never lets off the damn gas.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

It’s showing early for him. Guilliman might wanna make adjustments now, this is five rounds he’s looking at. He’s not in bad shape but can be if the pace doesn’t slow down. Double is taking him to his wheelhouse. Making Guilliman work more than he wants to.

[Reaching the three minute mark, Guilliman engages with a leg kick that misses but then steadies himself and throws another one and this one lands solid enough to cause Delaney to wince in pain. A third kick thrown by Primarch misses and leaves him open for a counter jab, but Bobby is keen to it and ducks under it only to absorb a quick hook from the Lightweight champ a moment later. Still, he continues to throw his strikes and this time it’s a punch to the body that Delaney covers up in the knick of time. Another low kick gets deflected and countered with an uppercut that nearly puts Guilliman on the moon. Instead, he steadies himself and answers with a stiff jab but Delaney ducks it.]

[Though his face is unreadable, the fans have to be wondering if frustration is setting in when Guilliman throws a middle kick and Donovan blocks it and steps away. Continuing to come forward, Guilliman throws even more kicks that get blocked by Delaney and countered with a shovel hook that tags Bobby. The pace begins to slow as they enter the final minute of the first round. Another liver kick gets offered in Donovan’s direction but, like many of Guilliman’s kicks up to this point, Donovan blocks it and moves away. A loud clapping noise indicates when the final ten seconds of the first have arrived, and it’s here that Donovan looks to finish strong with big strikes that land, the bruising on Guilliman’s chin more than evident as the horn sounds and the round comes to a conclusion. Jordan Ripley quickly steps in and both Guilliman and Donovan shake hands before heading back to their corners.]

CARRICK PRICE

Super tight first round which is what I think we were all hoping for. Advantage probably goes to Primarch just slightly because he was pretty clearly the aggressor. But again, it’s nit picky. Your thoughts, lads?

TOUSSAINT HARPER

I want to agree due to the more standout moments of the round going to Guilliman but I honestly felt like the end of the round from Donovan was stronger. It’s a toss but I will lean Donovan at this point.

JASON JACKSON
It’s a tossup really. Primarch pushed the pace but It cost him a bit and Double D was able to negate it for the most part. I’m gonna call it even. Don’t shoot me.

OG_RD2.png

CARRICK PRICE

Here we go! Round 2!

[The second round begins without the build that the start of the fight had been given. Guilliman marches forward as Delaney strides toward the center of the cage, stepping back just in the knick of time to avoid a furious low kick from the Middleweight champion. The missed kick leaves Bobby open to a big hook to the ribs from Delaney and it is a crushing blow that causes Guilliman to clutch at his side right after. Now it’s Donovan who comes forward, applying the pressure and slamming a beautiful haymaker into Guilliman’s face, opening up a small laceration on Primarch’s mouth. A vicious exchange unfolds soon after with Donovan once more coming out on the better end with punches landed.]

JASON JACKSON
See. Over committing to those kicks are leaving him wide open. This is how Donovan turns the fight in his favor. The timing and counter ability of Double D is working wonders here for this matchup. Guilliman just ate that big ass punch though and keeps coming forward. This is a FIGHT boys.

[Seeing an opening, Donovan continues to push forward and shoves Bobby up against the fence in a plum position. This isn’t where Guilliman wants to be and he tries to move away but Double D isn’t letting him go anywhere. He unloads a flurry of punches and Bobby just can’t get away. The camera’s catch a small cut just under Guilliman’s right cheek. The combo’s continue to flow in bunches and the crowd is once more on their feet. Somehow, someway, Robert Guilliman is absorbing an unbelievable amount of punishment but he just won’t fall. Bleeding from his mouth, from his right cheek Guilliman tries to find a way out of the clinch but Donovan catches him with another shot straight to the nose that draws blood as well.]

CARRICK PRICE

I think even a new fan to the sport watching this right now knows that Robert Guilliman is in a bad spot right now. A baaaaaad spot.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

He’s caught up in the clinch. Worst place for any opponent of Delaney Donovan. You can tell Guilliman is trying his damnest to get out danger. Donovan is the pressure now.

[Jordan Ripley watches closely, checking to make sure Robert Guilliman is intelligently defending himself as a series of uppercuts rock the Middleweight champion even further. Clearly this fight could be over soon and the crowd is chanting and cheering Delaney on, trying to drive him to that result. From uppercuts to body blows, Donovan lands bone breaking punches to Guillimans ribs and the pain is more than evident on the bloodied and battered face of Primarch. More blows come and somehow Jordan Ripley still hasn’t stepped in as Primarchs right eye begins to swell and his movement seems to be a bit groggy and uncoordinated. Still, the all out assault has taken its toll on Delaney as well and he pushes Guilliman up against the fence and holds him there, taking a moment to catch his own breath. That moment is apparently a moment too long and Ripley intervenes and separates the two fighters, forcing them to break the clinch.]

JASON JACKSON
The heart of a champion. That’s what is keeping Rob in this fight right now. He’s bloodied and battered but he’s still here and that is something you can’t train or teach. You’ve just gotta have that warrior spirit and Primarch has it in abundance.

[The fight resumes a moment later with Guilliman’s face a crimson mask and questions about his ability to see ringing on the faces of those with ringside seats. But still. Still. Robert Guilliman keeps fighting. He throws an inside leg kick and it misses as Donovan fakes a punch and shows off his footwork, stepping aside. Another desperate low kick comes from Primarch that Delaney blocks and then, half a second after, Donovan unloads on him raining down combinations. Guilliman stumbles back, clearly hurt and an easy target but with incredible heart steadies himself and bobs and weaves out of the way of a couple of punches thrown by Delaney.]

CARRICK PRICE

How is that man still standing? Is he made out of that shite Wolverine is made out of? Incredible heart!

TOUSSAINT HARPER

He looks out on his feet but he’s still moving alert to know to dodge. How? The fucking how? He’s probably bobbing to a whole music track right now and it’s saving his life!

[Standing proudly, the bloodied Guilliman gestures for Delaney to come forward and the Lightweight champion obliges with a brutal hook that lands flush on Primarchs chin and finally turns his lights out. Guilliman crumbles to the canvas and Jordan Ripley quickly intervenes as Donovan is on the verge of pouncing to finish the fight. Ripley waves him off, indicating that it’s already over and signals for the bell. As the medical crew and doctor flood the ring, Donovan takes a step back and bows politely to his fallen opponent, and then bows politely to the opposing corner before turning back and retreating to his own corner to celebrate quietly.]

JASON JACKSON
Wow…… wooooowwwwww. Nice touch with the bow though. Mad respect between the two. I’m kind of in shock right now. Donovan came in and executed a brilliant game plan and the primarch has fallen.

CARRICK PRICE

AYYYYYEEEEE LETTTTTSSSSS FUCKING GO DOUBLE! What a knock out but Jesus Christ I’ve never seen anything like that in my life before. Primarch got battered and bloodied and still said I’m not fuckin’ finished yet lad, bring it. I’ve got chills.

TOUSSAINT HARPER

And IT’S DOOONE!! HISTORY IS MADE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THE FIRST DOUBLE CHAMPION IN UGP HISTORY!! To stand in the face of the man at the last of your meter. He faced the gun with a smile. Respect to Guilliman in every way possible but the gamble doesn’t pay tonight. Congratulations to the New Middleweight Champion Delaney Donovan!

JASON JACKSON
Congrats to them both. They made history tonight and this will be a fight talked about for a very long time. I’m happy to have been here and able to call the action with you two. Now, who’s buying the first round of drinks? Carrick?

[The crowd explodes off their feet in shock and awe at what just went down. Doctors tend to a deflated Guilliman for a while before finally helping him to his feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Jordan Ripley has called for a stop in this fight at three minutes fifty-four seconds in the second round, declaring your winner by knockout, AND NEW Union Grand Prix Middleweight Champion, “Double D” Delaney Donovan!

[The crowd cheers once again as Donovan has his hand raised in victory. Union GP President Dante Reed tosses both the Lightweight Title and newly earned Middleweight Title over Delaney’s shoulders. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]
