MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, we are brought to you exclusively by the Battleground Network and we are here at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia for UGP 24! And now, this opening contest is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Lightweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 3-1. He stands 5’7”, and weighing in at 155 pounds. He is from San Juan, Puerto Rico, fighting out of Lion's Den FC Las Vegas, presenting Erick Costa!

[Erick Costa takes a step out of his corner and nods his head while shaking his arms and legs to keep loose.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Kicking off the main card we have a lightweight bout that pits veteran against prospect. Erick Costa has shown a lot of promise and a ton of potential in four Union GP bouts. His only blemish came at the hands of MMA icon Byron McCall.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

He put on a solid performance on the rebound of that loss against Osvaldo Ledesma, but if he wants to crack the top five and be considered a true title contender, he needs that signature win. A guy like Belazco is just the name that will give Costa the credentials needed to break into that next level. However, he’s got an uphill climb to achieve that task.

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Grappler holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 7-7. He stands 5’7”, and weighing in at 155 pounds. He is from San Diego, California, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, presenting “The Black Knight” Xabier Belazco!

[Xabier Belazco is seen bouncing in place throughout the entire introduction. He pauses for a moment to take a bow to the roar of the crowd before resuming his pre-fight routine.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Tonight we welcome back Xabier Belazco, a true professional in this sport and a man looking to jump right back into the thick of the 155 pound division. The Black Knight has been on a bit of a sabbatical since UGP 21. Taking a tough loss to Yasmine Vermeulen while also welcoming in his first child, Belazco put the cage on the back burner.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

He’s got that itch once again and what a way to scratch it, taking on a fast rising prospect in Erick Costa. I love this match-up. These two are so close to making a huge splash and really shaking up the division. This is an incredible way to kick off the night, and we’re moments away to it.

BODIE SULLIVAN

We are all set to get this fight kicked off. Jordan Ripley is the official in charge here and he calls for the bell. It’s Bout Time ladies and gentlemen!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[With Jordan Ripley announcing the start of the fight, so do the fireworks as Xabier Belazco wastes no time in going after Erick Costa, but Costa is utilizing every single skill he has as a boxer to dodge every punch thrown at him. After he finds an opening, Costa lands a bone shattering straight right that stops Belazco in his tracks and makes him change strategy as he tries for a takedown, which works, as Costa is now on the ground and Belazco has the upper hand.]

[Both fighters are fighting for position on the ground, with Belazco barely managing to keep his position. They keep this struggle going, without much action so Jordan Ripley decided that he had seen enough and stood both fighters up. Once on their feet Costa sent a body kick Belazco’s way; but the technique was a bit sloppy and Belazco managed to counter with a straight right hand that Costa just barely avoided ducking under it.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

A little back and forth to start things off. Costa with a nice big right hand while Belazco hits a perfectly timed takedown.

[Erick Costa is showing a lot of skills as he bobs and weaves his way out of every punch Xabier Belazco throws his way. He then decides to launch some punches, but they all come to nothing more than create space for Costa to regain his breath momentarily.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Incredible agility from Xabier Belazco there dodging those strikes.

[A low kick from Costa gets blocked by Belazco as the clock says 2:10 of the first round. The kick is followed by a punch from Costa that whizzes past Belazco; but it gives Erick Costa enough time to slow the pace of the fight down, regain composure and size his opponent in the center of the cage. After a feeling out process, Costa and Belazco engage in the clinch. They trade punches, and it seems like Costa didn’t like being in the clinch with The Black Knight; as he moved away creating some distance and hitting a vicious right hook that is a miracle Belazco’s jaw stayed in its place.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Xabier Belazco worked the clinch in his favor but paid the price on the break with that right hook.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Fighters love throwing those wild shots in that moment. If a fighter isn’t paying attention, it could be disastrous.

[Following that vicious strike, Costa went in for the clinch, but Belazco managed to shrug his way out of it and slip away from his opponent. Yet it was Costa who stayed on the offensive, measuring Belazco with a series of jabs with pretty good accuracy as the clock hit the 3:55 mark of the first round.]

[Good combinations of jabs and leg kicks from Costa, that even if they get defended, keep Belazco on his back foot. A shovel hook tags Belazco, followed by a left hook that seemingly worries Belazco’s corner as they shout for him to do something, and something he does as he launches a hook to the body right as the buzzer sounds marking the end of the round.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Solid action in the first frame of the fight. A lot of back and forth exchanges where both Belazco and Costa were able to get some offense in. Pretty close one, what do you think, Willy?

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I think you gotta give that one to Costa as he kept his foot on the gas there at the end of the round and really started tagging Belazco with some damaging shots. The Black Knight is still very much in this fight, but he’s got to be a little more careful.

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[Both fighters show respect after that first round by touching gloves to begin the second one. After the glove touch, however, all pleasantries are over as Erick Costa launches a punch to the body that grazes Belazco’s arm. Belazco counters with a good 1-2 combo that Erick Costa manages to block; only to counter with a jab combination of his own.]

[Belazco is looking for angles as he throws a few jabs that are countered by Erick Costa’s own punches and both fighters are wildly exchanging blows here! Once again, Belazco sees that standing and banging with Erick Costa doesn’t seem like a great idea and tries to take him down; yet this time Costa manages to push Belazco away and keep this fight on the feet.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Nice takedown defense from Erick Costa, stuffing it and keeping him guessing with those rapid strikes.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Erick Costa looks very focused and well prepared out there right now. He’s controlling the tempo and making Belazco play his game.

[Xabier Belazco paws at Costa and Costa swings ineffectively; but it gives him enough space to launch a side kick to the body that gets blocked by Belazco; but his face says that he felt it. Belazco manages to keep his distance and recovers enough to get back inside and launch a body hook; but Costa dodged and hit Belazco with a hard cross, quickly moving aside to send a straight left hand that Belazco just barely managed to duck under. Yet as Belazco got straight he got hit by a jab straight in the chest and then a 1-2 combination that makes Belazco reel.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Erick Costa is unloading on The Black Knight right now. Belazco has got to change things up here.

[Costa keeps the pressure going as he continues sending punches Belazco’s way. Belazco’s corner shouts instructions, they’re obviously not liking the fact that their fighter is fighting backwards here as Costa connects a solid straight hand to the body. The clock says 3:05 in the second round and Costa is dictating the pace here in the fight.]

[The pace has slowed down enough where Costa can start picking his opponent apart; yet one move from Belazco is all it takes for the tide to shift momentarily as Xabier Belazco ducked under a stiff jab from Costa and connected with a nice uppercut that staggered Costa. Both fighters exchange wildly with Belazco getting the upper hand here; but Costa then connects with a straight right hand to the chest of Belazco, which seemingly stopped The Black Knight’s momentum.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Boom! Xabier Belazco is bringing the heat behind those hands and put Costa on skates!

[The clock says 4:30 in the second round as Belazco wants to regain his momentum, launching a calf kick, but Costa avoided it and landed flush with a hook that staggered Belazco. Erick Costa wanted to put on a show as he followed the hook with a Superman punch that hit Xabier Belazco’s face like a wrecking ball! Costa followed with a low kick and hit hard on Belazco’s right thigh! Belazco is reeling and Jordan Ripley jumps in as the buzzer sounds signaling the end of the round.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Woah, just when you think Belazco is turning the tide, Erick Costa finishes strong, landing some devastating blows.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

The momentum swung back and forth in this round. It’s hard to call who takes this one. Both fighters showed a lot of offense while taking a lot of damage in the process. The scorecards could be 1-1 at this point, but you cannot rely on that. We need to see a finish to avoid any dispute.

=========================================

ROUND THREE

=========================================

[This round there was no touching gloves, as Erick Costa was left smelling blood from that last round and started to pick Xabier Belazco apart with his jab. He followed that with a low kick that got blocked; Belazco countered with a straight punch… only to get caught by a straight left from Erick Costa.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Costa is in the zone right now. The accuracy and the evasiveness is on full display.

[Belazco knows that his best chance of winning is to get a stop and he’s going for it as he attempts to cut Costa off with punches; but Costa avoids getting cornered with a low kick that hit Xabier Belazco’s ankle and kept him away. Yet, Belazco wasn’t having it and threw a right hook that glanced off Costa’s arm.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Belazco is trying to rally back but Costa keeps answering and firing back.

[Belazco continued throwing everything at Costa as the round continued, with Costa avoiding a dangerous head kick from Belazco, countering with a solid straight and a low kick that hit hard on Belazco’s right leg. That last one hurt Belazco who seems to be limping a bit.]

[Costa smells blood once more and throws a quick hook that landed straight to the side of Belazco’s head. Erick Costa continued showing impeccable timing as he continued blasting Xabier Belazco with punch after punch, culminating in a great hook that caught Belazco off balance and made him fall to the ground with a cut on his mouth.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Xabier Belazco is in serious trouble!

[Belazco flails, looking to defend himself; but Costa launched a kick to Belazco’s thigh to a loud pop; and another kick and another pop; that last one seemingly hurting Belazco as his face told the story. Finally, Costa has had enough and gestured towards Belazco giving him space to get back to his feet.]

[Belazco limps around Costa, who seems like a shark circling his prey. Belazco seemingly wants to survive; as when he sees an opening he jumps right into the clinch. Both fighters traded punches, but it was Erick Costa who got the best of the exchange with a flurry of punches that Xabier Belazco wasn’t able to get away from. Belazco tried to push Costa away from him, but in the process Erick Costa landed a vicious right uppercut from the separation that sent Belazco’s head completely backwards and knocked him down and out!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

This one is all over! Erick Costa puts down the veteran Xabier Belazco with less than a minute to go! Spectacular performance for the Lion's Den prospect!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Boy oh boy, Erick Costa brought his A-game tonight. He knew what was ahead of him, and he did not give an inch from start to finish. This is what we all expected to see from this rising fighter.

[The crowd erupts with cheers Costa rushes to his corner crew to celebrate. The medical staff pour in and tend to Belazco for a while, before finally helping him to his feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Jordan Ripley has called for a stop in this fight at four minutes seven seconds in the third and final round, declaring your winner by knockout, Erick Costa!

[The crowd cheers once again as Costa has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Heavyweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 4-2. He stands 6’4”, and weighing in at 265 pounds. He is from Tottenham, London, England, fighting out of The ScrapYard MMA, presenting “One Punch” Joseph Byrne!

[Joseph Byrne raises a clenched fist high in the air to acknowledge the cheering crowd.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Now we shift to the land of the giants as we first introduce The ScrapYard product Joey Byrne. Byrne comes into this bout looking to rebound from his loss for the Heavyweight Championship to Kennard Rozier. Byrne is a phenomenal specimen with his signature strength and power, which I’m sure will be on full display in this one.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

That “One Punch” nickname is not just a marketing strategy, he’s got some serious power. Before his loss in his championship bid, his previous three bouts ended in less than forty-five seconds. This guy is scary and he hasn’t even reached his true potential. He’s got a tough matchup ahead of him for sure, but I believe Byrne will be a name at the top of the pecking order for a long time.

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 4-1. He stands 6’8”, and weighing in at 265 pounds. He is from St. Paul, Minnesota, fighting out of Twin Cities MMA, presenting Owen “The Viper” Barnes!

[Owen Barnes stares daggers towards his opponent as the referee shouts out instructions.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And now we have quite literally the biggest competitor in Union Grand Prix, the six foot eight inch Owen Barnes. This man has been strapped to a rocket and soaring through the rankings. Three straight wins to start off his tenure in Union GP, this is a matchup he’s been looking for to truly solidify himself in the heavyweight division.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

No question he’s done everything right so far and has rightfully earned this spot as a top contender. He faces a former title challenger tonight, and if he can get past Byrne with a win, I don’t think anyone can argue that he’s deserving of a title shot.

BODIE SULLIVAN

A signature win from a title challenger is just what this Twin Cities prospect needs to close any arguments, but you cannot deny the difficulty when Joey Byrne is looking to get right back into that same spot. But now it’s time to answer those questions as our referee for the bout, the seasoned Herschel Warden, checks off with each fighter and signals for the start!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[With both corners checked in and ready to roll, Herschel Warden calls for the bell to officially get this fight underway. The two approach each other in the center of the cage, their eyes locked on the other studying every movement. Making the first move, Byrne strikes with a couple of stiff leg kicks, only to have Barnes block them with little to no effort. Catching Byrne off guard, Barnes hits him with a quick one-two combo to the chin. Barnes fakes with his left, opening up a clear shot to Byrne’s chin with a right.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Good eye on checking the kick from Owen Barnes and he’s quickly found his range with those counters.

[Byrne fires back with a right of his own, leading to an explosive exchange between the two. Byrne connects with back to back punches before transitioning his attack and driving kicks into Barne’s legs. Byrne throws a powerful punch at Barne’s head, only to miss as Owen sidesteps him. Faking a kick, Owen then swings upwards with an uppercut. Blocking it, Joseph shoves Owen, sending him stumbling backwards. Stepping in, Joseph launches a high kick, barely missing as Owen dodges it.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And Joseph Byrne unloads with some big offense and nearly ended Owen’s night with that head kick.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Just because Byrne has the power punches doesn’t mean you can ignore his kicks.

[Unloading, Barnes rains down on Joseph with a combination of lefts and rights. A stiff punch to the mouth cuts Byrne’s lip. Locked in, Owen nails Byrne with a powerful right hand, knocking him back a few steps. Byrne’s chin visibly swollen. Byrne moves in quickly and connects with a few strikes before stepping away and creating distance between the two.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

What an incredible back and forth exchange we’re seeing here, folks! Barnes and Byrne are leaving it all out there!

[Owen steps in but Joseph stops him right on the spot with a low kick to maintain distance. Owen steps in again, pleased with the same reaction from Joseph. Owen then swings and connects with a hook to his left cheek, opening it up with a cut. 2:05 on the clock, Owen swings for the fences and demolishes Byrne’s jaw with a powerful punch! Barnes swings again, landing a powerful hook! Owen then begins pounding Byrne’s head with pulverizing punches! Having seen enough, Herschel Warden immediately stops the fight.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And this one is all over! Owen Barnes weathers the storm and surges back with a barrage of punches to put an end to it!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This guy has an incredible chin to withstand the havoc and still have the wherewithal to unload. Incredible finish from the Twin Cities fighter!

[The crowd rumbles with cheers and Barnes is rushed by his corner in celebration. Doctors tend to Byrne for a while before helping him to his feet. After doctors and cut men finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Herschel Warden has called for a stop in this fight at two minutes thiry-five seconds in the very first round, declaring your winner by technical knockout, Owen “The Viper” Barnes!

[The crowd cheers once again as Barnes has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Openweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Wrestler holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 1-8. He stands 6’3”, and weighing in at 235 pounds. He is from Warren, Michigan, presenting Cal McCluskey!

[Cal McCluskey looks very relaxed in his corner, but you can clearly see him mouthing some obscenities toward his opponent across the octagon.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Our first Openweight bout of the night and we are all gifted the luxury of having Cal McCluskey return to Union GP. From what I’ve been told, Cal has really taken this tournament seriously. He’s been training nonstop and has really improved his skill set and conditioning.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Yeah I heard he switched to light beer to cut calories. In all seriousness, Cal does look like a different fighter from what we’ve all grown to know him as. This is probably his only guaranteed path to a championship opportunity. It takes three consecutive victories, but damn he’s got a long road ahead of him. The winner of this fight goes on to face Donnie Calabrese, then the winner of that goes on to face the winner of Daniel Fisk and Eamon Wojcik. No tune up fights here!

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 11-3. He stands 6’1”, and weighing in at 200 pounds. He is from Los Angeles, California, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, he is the former two-time Union Grand Prix Middleweight Champion, presenting “The Primarch” Robert Guilliman!

[Robert Guilliman stands motionless in his corner, glaring at his opponent from the opposite corner.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

This is the first fight back from Robert Guilliman since losing his title to Delaney Donovan. No question that defeat had to be crushing, but Guilliman isn’t one of those types to lose focus from a set back. When he first lost the Middleweight Title to Asher Jrue, he won it back in an immediate rematch. And now, he’s set his sights on a new venture, becoming the first Openweight Champion in Union.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

The guy’s name is written all over the record and history books in Union GP. This is just another accolade to add to the collection. Robert Guilliman is as focused as they come in this sport, and his talent has been second to none. This fight is interesting in the sense that there are no weight limits, and Guilliman is giving up a solid 35 pounds to a guy who probably trains by smashing cinder blocks with his head. Guilliman comes in the heavy, HEAVY favorite in the betting odds, but don’t count out McCluskey.

BODIE SULLIVAN

That’s the beauty of this sport. The momentum can be flipped upside down in just one punch. But now it’s time to get this freak show rolling as our referee of the bout, Jordan Ripley, looks ready for action.

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[The bell announces the first round and both fighters close the distance. McCluskey wastes no time and lands a wicked punch that puts Guilliman on skates. Cal rushes in and continues to drop some heavy bombs and the crowd is getting loud with anxiety. Guilliman staggers backwards and it looks like Cal wants to finish this and continues launching bombs! Cal caps off the combo with a nice front kick before Guilliman finally circles out.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

What?! Are you kidding me? Am I really seeing this right now?

[Guilliman tries to circle away to regain his composure but McCluskey follows every step. This proves to be a big mistake for Cal, as he walks right into a massive hook and then a furious combo from Guilliman! The Primarch just won't stop and continues to rain punches!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Cal gets split wide open on the chin!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Oooh, that’s a nasty cut right there.

[Cal McCluskey moves forward looking to slow the pace down and gets Guilliman secured in a textbook double collar Thai clinch. The fighters are jockeying for position inside the clinch then Guilliman launches a knee! Guilliman hits Cal hard just below the ribs and you can see the excruciating pain. McCluskey pushes Guilliman away to break free from the clinch and circles to get the center of the cage.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Looks like Cal got the wind knocked out of him there with that knee.

[Robert Guilliman moves forward and launches a head kick but Cal ducks under just in time. Guilliman shows no signs of slowing down and jumps in the air with a flying knee! Cal blocks the knee with his arms and moves laterally looking to regroup. Guilliman goes with a looping right hand while Cal jumps back and jabs. The right hand connects but Cal seems unaffected, countering with a few punches of his own in this great exchange.]

[Robert Guilliman circles around Cal before the two exchange wildly once again. Cal is connecting with a few punches which causes Guilliman to try and shoot for a takedown, but McCluskey shows great balance while pushing Guilliman off. The two circle back toward the center and Guilliman lands a solid calf kick in the process. Cal stumbles for a moment but then fires off a right hand that surprises Guilliman.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

I gotta admit, Cal is holding his own a helluva lot better than I expected.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

It’s clear he’s put some power in those hands, and he’s actually being smart out there and keeping his head on a swivel. This is madness!

[Guilliman moves forward looking for a hole in his opponent's defense and lands an inside leg kick. The two circle around now and are showing each other a ton of respect. A quick back and forth gives Cal the edge, who outboxes his opponent in this exchange before stepping back and taking a few seconds to recover his breath.]

[Cal tries some clinching in order to control the fight and both fighters are tied in a clinch. Guilliman launches a knee and again hits Cal's hard just below the ribs! Guilliman pushes Cal into the fence and tries to calm down the action, but neither fighter tries to make any advancements so Jordan Ripley separates the fighters.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Primarch is doing serious damage with those knees. Cal has to stay out of the clinch.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

That’s true, but if you give Guilliman too much room, he’s gonna go for that signature head kick KO. Cal is definitely fighting behind the 8-ball here, but he’s staying alive so far.

[Both fighters circle back to the center and Guilliman starts attacking the legs which is obviously bothering McCluskey. Guilliman then steps back and seems to be cooling down the fight a bit. Cal pressures in and Guilliman launches a furious low kick and it looks like Cal hyperextended his knee! But Cal fights through the pain and fires back with a pulverizing punch to Guilliman's head!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Jeez, Cal’s leg is looking rough out there. He’s got some serious swelling going on right now.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Smart of Guilly to chop away at the legs, that head may be too thick to inflict any real damage. Every time Cal puts weight on it, he’s obviously limping and wincing. That’s gonna slow him down, keep him stationary, and be a much easier target for Guilliman.

[Guilliman shakes it off and looks for angles as he throws a few jabs that are countered by Cal McCluskey's punches. Cal is on the receiving end of a great combo by Guilliman, but with just seconds remaining, the two engage in a wild exchange! Guilliman connects with a looping right hand while Cal McCluskey jumps back and jabs. Both fighters seem sluggish but continue to throw hands until the buzzer. The ref stops the action and directs them to their corners.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Willy, are you as surprised as I am that this fight went five minutes and counting? Because I am!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Unbelievable willpower shown from Cal McCluskey. He took some nasty shots out there, but he stayed upright all throughout, and even landed some big shots of his own. If he can be a little quicker on his feet and avoid eating so many shots… I feel dirty even thinking about it, but he just might have a chance in this one!

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[The second frame opens up with both fighters wearing some battle scars across their faces but both very much still in it. Guilliman circles in around Cal and throws a high kick! Cal was preparing for a blow to the body by covering his ribs up and winds up eating the kick right in the temple! That kick almost knocks his head right off his shoulders, but somehow McCluskey is still standing!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

OH! Cal McCluskey gets rocked by a vicious head kick and he’s on dream street right now!

[Guilliman shows no signs of slowing down now. Every time Cal attempts to get inside, Guilliman fires a calf kick. Cal McCluskey seems hurt! He fumbles around trying to stay upright while a massive beach ball is swelling on the side of his leg, making him an easy target for Guilliman!]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Gaahh, that leg is looking so bad for Cal. I don’t know how much longer he can support his weight on that thing.

[The Primarch fires off another brutal head kick and you could hear the impact from the back seats! McCluskey just got separated from his senses and starts rumbling, bumbling, and stumbling all over the octagon! Guilliman winds back and launches another kick; Cal defends his head but Guilliman is aiming for the midsection. Then, like the sound of a crack from a bat, Guilliman smacks McCluskey right in the groin with his shin! McCluskey immediately drops like a ton of bricks and the referee rushes in to put a stop to the fight.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Oh my goodness! Cal McCluskey just took a brutal kick to the groin, and he’s obviously hurting.

[Cal is rolling around in agony, belching out every profanity in the English dictionary—and quite possibly some in Spanish as well. The medical physicians pour into the cage to tend to him while Guilliman is instructed to stand back and away from his corner. While McCluskey is getting looked at, Guilliman is pleading with the official that it was not intentional and the referee appears to be agreeing with him.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Oh, this is not good.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Cal is dry heaving like a stray cat. He may be coughing up a nut here soon.

[Minutes pass by and Cal is still flat back on the mat. Eventually, the time out is drawing close to an end, and Cal has to make a decision soon. He looks up at the clock and soon realizes the situation he’s in. He’s a lot smarter than he looks, or sounds too, as he finally makes his call to the referee. The official turns back toward the center of the octagon and waves off the fight.]

[The crowd erupts into boos as Guilliman looks visibly displeased while Cal struggles to get to his feet. Eventually the two fighters make their way to the center of the octagon to hear the official decision.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Jordan Ripley has called for a stop in this fight at fifty-one seconds in the second round, declaring your winner by Technical Decision, Cal McCluskey!

[The boo birds pour in as Cal has his hand raised in victory. Guilliman is shocked by the call and is contesting the decision. As Guilliman and Ripley argue, Cal limps toward his corner with the help of his coaches, with a shit-eating grin smeared across his smug face. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Co-Main Event of the evening! The following contest is scheduled for three rounds in the Union Grand Prix Openweight Division. Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Wrestler holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 5-1. He stands 6’4”, and weighing in at 245 pounds. He is from Harlan County, Kentucky, fighting out of Hell’s Holler MMA, presenting Eamon Wojcik!

[Eamon Wojcik raises his fists in his corner with a stern focus on his face.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

In our final Openweight bout tonight, we’ve got two world champions colliding! First up, Eamon Wojcik looks to make a huge splash in the MMA world as he looks to score a win over the iconic Daniel Fisk, a true pioneer of the sport. Eamon has shown a wide arsenal in his offense, and should make for a very tough match-up for anyone.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Wojcik has a great wrestling background which he likes to use to bring the fight to the ground, but he's also got some serious strength and power. He’s got enough wits to stand up and trade, and he’s even won with submissions. It’s great to bring a guy like Eamon into the Union GP umbrella and have match-ups like this one tonight. He’s definitely a star in the making, and could very well catapult himself into superstardom tonight.

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 28-5. He stands 6’5”, and weighing in at 240 pounds. He is from Los Angeles, California by way of Newark, New Jersey, fighting out of Real Killas MMA, he is the former two-time Union Grand Prix Cruiserweight Champion, presenting “.44” Daniel Fisk Jr.!

[Daniel Fisk is calm in his corner. He looks confident and prepared for this fight]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And now we welcome the two-time Union GP Cruiserweight Champion and current G2 Grand Champion Daniel Fisk back into the fold here with another bout in the Openweight Grand Prix. As I’m sure we’re all aware by now, Fisk made it clear about his displeasures after his fight with Blue Barrera. But there’s no question his level of competition has increased tenfold here tonight.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This is something Fisk wanted. A true challenge, and what a way to get that request answered than a fight with a former World Champion. Fisk has been working on improving his skill set lately, entering Cass Madrigal’s Submission Madness tournament. You think him working on his ground game has anything to do with his fight tonight here with Eamon?

BODIE SULLIVAN

Maybe not entirely, but I’m sure it played a role in it, Willy. In this day and age, you have to be well rounded in all facets of the game. Eamon has that clear advantage in grappling and on the ground, and like we mentioned, he can hold himself to stand and trade. If Fisk wants to be able to hold his own, no matter where the fight goes, it’s smart to work on and improve yourself in all phases. But now, we’re ready to put these fighters to the test and see which one will advance to the finals and earn a championship opportunity! The referee of the bout is Jordan Ripley and he’s calling for the fight! And here we go!

=========================================

ROUND ONE

=========================================

[The bell sounds the beginning of the fight and both fighters close the distance. Fisk shuffles from side to side and studies his opponent while Wojcik stays patient. The two exchange wildly but neither land anything significant. Wojcik wants to close the range and shoves himself over his opponent and secures a single collar tie. The two jostle for control then Fisk throws a flurry of punches and Eamon fires back with a flurry of his own!]

[The two finish trading shots in the clinch and go back to pummeling for control. Daniel Fisk sees an opportunity and hits a foot sweep takedown on Wojcik! Fisk is still standing while Wojcik is on the ground. Fisk decides to go after his opponent and jumps inside but Wojcik fights back with his feet and makes Fisk think of another plan. Fisk stays cautious which gives Eamon enough room to stand back to his feet.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Woah! Nice takedown from Daniel Fisk!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

I think Sub Madness has stuck with him a bit.

[Both fighter’s are showing each other a ton of respect as they circle around looking for any openings. Fisk paws at Wojcik to find his range while Wojcik swings ineffectively. Eamon rushes in with a stinging jab but Fisk slips it and surprises Eamon with a counter right. Eamon launches a leg kick that Fisk checks and then darts in to secure a single collar tie of his own. In the clinch, Eamon fakes a punch to open up Fisk and then trips him down to the mat.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Fisk is showing that he’s not afraid to tangle, but he’s got to be careful.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Can’t get too cocky out there, Eamon definitely knows what he’s doing in that situation.

[On the ground, Eamon tries to escape from the closed guard but Fisk overhooks an arm and starts cranking! Interesting maneuver but Wojcik is able to pull his arm out of any potential danger. Fisk then launches a few punches to Wojcik's cheek from the guard, causing Eamon to try and cover up. Eamon then showcases his ground skills as he positions himself and launches a barrage of punches. Fisk tries to roll on the ground now and gets in the full mount over Eamon Wojcik!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Spectacular roll there from Daniel Fisk to get on top and in the full mount!

[Eamon launches a few punches to Fisk's cheek from the guard and those punches are effective as Fisk tries to cover his face. Fisk isolates Wojcik's arm and neck, looking for an arm triangle but Eamon is easily able to relieve the pressure on his neck and slip out of the hold. Fisk takes a deep breath as he passes his arm over Eamon’s shoulder and pushes his  arm against the mat! Eamon breaks free and tries to roll, but Fisk keeps good control and remains in full mount.]

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Daniel Fisk is out here putting some submissions together and I just don’t know who this fighter is right now! Loving the aggressiveness on the ground.

[Fisk controls the situation while working toward a better position then starts throwing down elbows, but Wojcik is not making himself an easy target. Eamon then starts to work in some offense, periodically tagging Fisk in the ribs with some solid punches. Eventually Fisk moves to a better position then suddenly goes for an armbar! Eamon is quick to slip free and the exhaustion is settling in on these two.]

[Nothing doing from these two so the referee decides to stand the fighters up since there was not much action on the ground. Back on their feet, Eamon takes the quick initiative to wrap Fisk in with double overhooks and land a few shots to the body until the horn signals the end of the first round.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Impressed would be an understatement for Daniel Fisk in this opening round. Not a lot of striking, but he definitely showed that he can hold his own on the ground.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

He might have caught Wojcik by surprise there. Fisk really put it to him with the grappling, and on the ground he was not hesitant to work for some submissions. This has to get Eamon thinking of protecting himself from not just striking and ground and pound, but submissions as well.

=========================================

ROUND TWO

=========================================

[Fisk and Wojcik cautiously close the distance to start round two. Eamon fakes a punch and launches himself over Fisk, who secures the clinch and pushes Fisk against the cage. The two struggle for position, which Eamon sees an opening during the scuffle and throws a nasty uppercut, but Fisk is agile enough to narrowly avoid getting tagged. Fisk tries to take down Eamon, but Wojcik stumbles backwards while Fisk launches a few punches. Eamon dodges the strikes and slips out of the clinch. Fisk paws at Wojcik looking for his range but Wojcik answers back with some solid punches.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Now we’re down to business. These guys got that feeling out stage taken care of and really know what they’re dealing with now.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Organized chaos is what I can best describe it. In a fight like this, you gotta keep the pressure on and stay aggressive, but have a direction and stay focused on it.

[Fisk resets his feet and retaliates with some tremendous strikes and some of those big punches are landing! These two fighters are showing each other a ton of respect as they step back and regroup now. A right hand from Fisk misses its target, which sets them off to engage in a wild exchange. Both fighters are wildly hitting air and eventually step back once again to regroup.]

[Fisk wants to close the range and tries to grapple. He shoves himself over his opponent and secures a single collar tie. As the two jockey for position, Eamon is launching some bone breaking punches to Fisk's ribs and you can see the pain in Daniel Fisk's eyes. Fisk's cornermen are looking a little worried about his safety if he continues clinching with Wojcik. Eamon pushes Fisk into the fence and tries to calm down the action. After a stalemate, the referee intervenes to break the clinch.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Eamon showing the power in those hands and the strength to keep Fisk trapped in that clinch.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Fisk May think twice now before initiating a clinch. He took a ton of damage to the body there.

[From the break, Wojcik throws a body kick and lands the solid shot and follows it up with an uppercut

that lands clean. Fisk is off balance now and Eamon changes levels and hits a single leg takedown to bring this fight to the mat. Eamon is in side mount and Fisk attempts to trap Eamon in his guard and eventually manages to switch to full guard. The two jockey around for control for some time, keeping the action going enough for the referee to stay out of it. Fisk eventually rolls on the ground and he’s now in full mount over Eamon Wojcik!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Eamon Wojcik delivers a solid combination to set up the takedown, but now Fisk is inching his way into controlling the ground.

[Eamon tries to roll to his side and get to half guard but Fisk rolls him to his stomach and takes his back! Fisk is in rear mount over Wojcik but is struggling to get anything going. Fisk looks to be cooling the fight on the ground and referee Jordan Ripley has seen enough passivity on the ground and stands up the fighters. Back on their feet, Fisk launches a hook to the body and Wojcik stops that one with his ribs! Fisk tries a surprise middle kick but Wojcik blocks with his arm then the two engage in a wild exchange of punches! Both fighters are connecting and this could be ending soon if either lands a lucky punch!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And here we go! Fire fight!

[Fisk shows excellent timing and blasts Eamon Wojcik with a great right hook. Eamon is caught off balance and slips to the ground! Fisk is standing while Wojcik is on the ground on his back as the final seconds tick away. Fisk launches a kick to Wojcik's thigh but Wojcik checks the kick. Eamon kicks his legs trying to keep Fisk away just long enough for the buzzer. Jordan Ripley separates the fighters as the round concludes. The fighters shake hands as they head back to their corners.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Solid finish for Daniel Fisk. Not sure if it was enough to take the round, but both of these fighters are still in this one as we make our way to the third and final round.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

In my mind, I would be surprised if the judges didn't see that round for Wojcik, but I agree with you Bodie, Fisk finished strong and that’s what you have to do in this sport. I’d hate to be a judge for this fight here, it could be 2-0 either way or 1-1. As I always like to say, don’t leave any doubt and finish the fight. We got five minutes to make a case!

=========================================

ROUND THREE

=========================================

[Final round begins and clearly both of these guys are gassed. Fisk comes in with some nice punches that staggers Eamon back on his heels. He wants to finish this and continues launching bombs! Fisk moves forward looking for some action now, and shows some wrestling skills as he put his opponent in a double overhook! Fisk tries to take his opponent down, but Eamon stumbles back to stay on his feet. Fisk then launches a few punches and one swing hits Wojcik's jaw and rocks him! Fisk tries a foot sweep but fails to take Wojcik down and both men are still in the clinch.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Eamon Wojcik looks hurt! He could be in some serious trouble here if Fisk can keep the pressure on him!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

It looks like Eamon is trying to fight back!

[Eamon Wojcik is absolutely terrifying with his power in the clinch, and is violently punishing Fisk with uppercuts now! Fisk is taking more than he can endure. This could end soon if Fisk is unable to escape! Wojcik tries a knee to the midsection but Fisk blocks that knee and just holds on for survival. Jordan Ripley sees a lack of activity in the clinch and eventually steps in to separate the fighters.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Incredible back and forth here. If either of these guys can land that devastating shot, it could be the end.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

These guys are not holding back and letting it all fly, Bodie. You love to see it!

[Fisk fakes a move and launches a liver kick but Wojcik blocks it and pushes his opponent back. Fisk launches several good body shots that hit air. Eamon counters back with a hook to the body but Fisk counters that one and catches him with a hard cross. Fisk follows it up with some nice shots that stun Wojcik, then throws some tentative punches to keep his range. Wojcik launches a couple of jabs that are answered by Fisk with a stiff cross! Solid exchange here! Fisk attempts to cut off Wojcik with punches and Wojcik reels back from the strikes. Fisk dodges a strike and counters with a crushing hook that almost lifts Wojcik from the ground!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Daniel Fisk is putting his boxing prowess on full display right now!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Eamon is getting touched up good here and it’s not looking good for the former Triumph Champion.

[Eamon goes with a looping right hand while Fisk jumps back and jabs. Wojcik seems staggered and Fisk runs to capitalize with a bunch of jabs and crosses. Fisk wants to take the fight to his advantage and tries to clinch but Wojcik wants none of that and pushes Fisk back. Fisk sets it up nicely and goes for a single leg takedown and catches Eamon off guard as they go to the ground.  Fisk is in side mount while Eamon launches a few punches to Fisk's cheek. Fisk uses his head to cover the punches and presses his head forward. Fisk continues to work and manages to move to full mount now. Eamon tries to roll to his side and trap Fisk in his guard but again Fisk rolls him over and takes his back!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Another textbook takedown from Daniel Fisk and he’s got Eamon’s back now!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This is a terrible spot for just about anybody, I don’t know if Wojcik has enough left in the tank to survive this situation.

[Fisk is in rear mount over Wojcik and works to get a hook in but Wojcik rolls on the ground and manages to get a half guard. Wojcik measures the resilience of Fisk's ribs with a couple of big punches from guard but Fisk blocks the hits as he works on the ground. Fisk tries freeing his leg and jumps out of Wojcik's guard and quickly moves to full mount! Neither man gains much control from here and it looks like Fisk doesn't want to continue the fight in this position and tries to get back on his feet. Fisk springs up and Eamon follows right behind and now both fighters continue the fight on their feet.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Unbelievable! There was no way Eamon was getting out of that position but he surprised Fisk and now they’re back to their feet.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Time is ticking away, it’s go time!

[Eamon jabs at Fisk to find his range to no visible effect. Fisk goes with a looping right hand while Eamon jumps back and jabs. Fisk seems staggered and Eamon runs to capitalize with a bunch of jabs and crosses. Wojcik continues launching a flurry of punches but only manages to land glancing blows. The buzzer sounds for the final time in this fight and referee Jordan Ripley separates the fighters as the round concludes.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And this one goes the distance! However this gets scored up, I think you’d be hard to find an argument that this fight isn’t the front runner for fight of the night!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

No question, Bodie. We saw action from bell to bell in the stand up, in the clinch, and on the ground. These guys left it all out there and put on one helluva fight for these fans in attendance and those watching at home.

[Both fighters hang over the top of the cage to control their breathing as the crowd roars with cheers for both fighters. The medical crew file in and go to work on both fighters. After some time has passed, they meet in the center of the cage for the official decision.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, after three rounds, we go to the judges’ scorecards. Judge Gusin Sergeyevich scores it 29-28 Fisk, Judge Agnes Vasilievna scores it 29-28 Wojcik, and Judge Boris Petrovich scores it 29-28, declaring your winner by split decision, “.44” Daniel Fisk Jr.!

[The crowd cheers once again as Fisk has his hand raised in victory. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew. A graphic pops up on screen, breaking down the statistics of the fight as the commentators recap.]

[The feed returns to the Olympic Stadium and cameras sweep the crowd to put their boisterous passion on full display. Before the excitement can subside from the spectators, we transition to the broadcast area where Bodie Sullivan and Warhead Williams are standing amongst MMA royalty. Union Grand Prix Cruiserweight Champion Roscoe Robinson is in the house, and he's dressed to the nines and fully equipped with headphones.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you back from the break. We’ve got a very special guest with us to help call the action here in this main event. The one. The only. “The Shooter” Roscoe Robinson! Roscoe, welcome to the booth sir!

ROSCOE ROBINSON

Thank you for having me this evening. I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be here tonight, front and center, for my man Pluggz’ fight with Vik. Because after tonight? He has a real fight on his hands!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Roscoe, it’s an honor to have you join us for this main event bout. The burning question that has been slowly building is what is the deal between you and Kennard Rozier? It has been speculated for some time now that there is this potential fight between the two of you. And now, you’re here calling the fight with us. And it seems like you’re telling us that there is something legitimately in the works between you two?

ROSCOE ROBINSON

I mean, it ain’t no secret that there’s some tension between us lately going into the new year. That much is obvious. Maybe the shepherd should have done a better job leading his little lambs and he wouldn’t be in the position he’s in following tonight’s fight with Vik. It’s open season on family and wives but the second they ugly mama is mentioned they crying foul. The fans been wanting this fight to happen more and more since the summer and to be honest, with no challengers announced in the near future for me, I have to. I’ve already proven that I’m the best Cruiserweight in UGP history and that ain’t shade to anyone whatsoever, it’s just facts. Now I want some more competition. I want a big time fight—something special, and what better fighter to bring that competition than the best Heavyweight in UGP history.

BODIE SULLIVAN

I’m sure President Dante Reed would be more than willing to negotiate and make that fight happen. If the fighters want it, and the fans want it, let’s make it happen, Dante!

UGP24_8-Rozier-vs-Volkov.png

SGORI BY STVORE BEGINS TO PLAY

[The heavy opening riff of STVORE’s Sgori (Burn) starts up on the sound system and Viktor Volkov steps out from behind the curtain. His eyes fixated on the cage, Volkov slowly begins to roll his shoulders whilst he walks. With his usual stoic expression etched upon his face, Viktor continues walking, completely unfazed by the occasion, cracking his knuckles through his gloves and swinging his arms a couple of times before reaching the cageside area.]

ROSCOE ROBINSON

As much as I’ve thrown jabs at Vik since returning I’ll admit, there’ll always be a special place in my heart for the first man I defended the championship against. I know he put on a few pounds since we fought back in 2019 but from here, I ain’t seeing it! He looks like the same ‘Big’ Vik from where I’m sitting.

BODIE SULLIVAN

No question about it, ‘Scoe. Since Volkov last fought against you for the Cruiserweight Title back at UGP 8, he’s put on some serious mass and looked phenomenal in his return against former Heavyweight Champion Donnie Calabrese. Sometimes a fighter just has to figure out their right weight class to compete at their fullest potential. With Volkov, he has that power behind those punches that can end someone’s night in the blink of an eye, but what’s been most impressive, in my eyes at least, is the fact that he’s been able to keep that speed and agility with the added size. I think that’s going to be the key factor for his success  in this match-up.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Vikor Volkov is one of the most seasoned and well rounded fighters Kennard Rozier has faced up to this point. He’s faced opponents with similar size, strength, or agility — but Volkov has it all and has been through those big moments. The main event bouts, the wars for Championships, he’s been there with everything on the line. Being in his home country, this is a perfect storm for an upset.

ROSCOE ROBINSON

I didn’t pull for the Russian in Rocky IV and I’m not about to start now. I know Vik can fight, but Pluggz is on a whole other level. I mean hell, the last time Vik had an opponent of this caliber was against me and that was almost two years ago. Meanwhile? Pluggz been right here in UGP fighting for everything he’s accomplished.

[He calmly removes his Reebok branded tee, handing it off to a team member before bumping the fist of several other team members around him. Eventually his head trainer stops up in front of him, squirting some water in Volkov's mouth before handing him his black mouth guard, adorned with the image of the grim reaper. The big Russian pops it into his mouth before the cutman goes to work, carefully placing vaseline across each brow, then rubbing it into his cheeks, nose and forehead area. The cutman then nods to Volkov, who turns, brushing by him as he makes his way up the steps and into the cage.]

[Viktor takes a quick lap around the cage, breaking into a light jog before he settles back into his corner, intimidatingly beginning to pace back and forth as his music slowly dies down.]

LAME NIGGAS EVERYWHERE DO YOU SEE IT?

I FEEL LIKE RIPLEY'S DOG CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?

[As "Juice" by Peirre Bourne plays Kennard Rozier enter view behind a custom mask over his face. He's wearing a black and tan robe that says Pluggz The Great on the back. He slowly makes his way to the cage.]

ROSCOE ROBINSON

Bout fu—there he is! The UGP Heavyweight Champion of the 9th World!

BODIE SULLIVAN

This makes his ninth walk out as a professional, and the fourth time striving to defend his crown. Kennard Rozier has reached that rare height where every single one of his fights is history in the making.

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

Unbeaten. Undisputed. It’s hard to continue to find new things to say about a guy who has consistently walked through those cage doors and come out with the same results. Knockout after knockout, Kennard Rozier is in a class of his own among the heavyweights. With every title defense, the pressure has been greater for the undefeated Rozier, and with the Russian countryman in his scope along with his potential next opponent sitting here with us, this is definitely the biggest moment in his young, yet storied career.

[Kennard stares at the cage while his coach Ray Delhomme takes off his robe giving him some last notes. Kennard turns around and hugs everyone in his corner before stepping up the steps toward the cage. He turns around and takes off the mask he was wearing and throws it in the crowd. Turning around Kennard crouches telling himself a few things before stepping in the cage.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the Main Event of the evening! Our three judges scoring this contest at cageside are Gusin Sergeyevich, Boris Petrovich, and Agnes Vasilievna, and when the action begins, our referee in charge in the octagon is Jordan Ripley. AND NOW, this is the moment you’ve all been waiting for! The following contest is scheduled for five rounds and it is for the Union Grand Prix Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first, fighting out of the blue corner, a Boxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of 5-2. He stands 6’5”, and weighing in at 250 pounds. He is from Saint Petersburg, Russia, fighting out of Volkov Fighting Institute, he is a Union Grand Prix Cruiserweight Title Challenger and the number one ranked Heavyweight Contender in the World, presenting “Big Vik” Viktor Volkov!

[Viktor Volkov ignites a ferocious stare down before hoisting a clenched fist into the air to the sound of the roaring crowd.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

And his opponent, fighting out of the red corner, a Kickboxer holding a professional mixed martial arts record of a perfect 8-0. He stands 6’5”, and weighing in at 225 pounds. He is from Kansas City, Missouri, fighting out of 9th World Performance Institute, he is the reigning, defending, undefeated, undisputed Union Grand Prix Heavyweight Champion of the World, presenting “Pluggz” Kennard Rozier!

[Kennard Rozier looks very relaxed as he sways from side to side, never once taking his eyes off his opponent.]

ROSCOE ROBINSON

Only thing left to do now is fight.

BODIE SULLIVAN

The wait is over! This is it, folks. The final fight of the night. Heavyweight Title on the line. It doesn't get any bigger than this! Jordan Ripley checks off with each man and calls for the bell!

OG_RD1.png

[The bell sounds and a bit surprisingly, Kennard Rozier and Viktor Volkov touch gloves in the center to get this fight started. Both fighters begin to circle in and cautiously dial in their range with feint punches. As the tension continues to build, they reach the breaking point and engage in a wild exchange of punches! The crowd erupts and both fighters are connecting.]

BODIE SULLIVAN

And here we go!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

This fight could be ending real soon if either lands that lucky punch. Big power on full tilt!

ROSCOE ROBINSON

This is the kind of fight I’m talking bout!

[These two fighters are showing each other a ton of respect as they simultaneously back off from the exchange. Rozier launches a furious calf kick to the right left of Volkov. Rozier pressures in and decides to launch some tentative punches and he takes the best of a brief punching exchange. Volkov throws a big uppercut but Rozier just slips it. Volkov tries to close the distance with his opponent and several good body shots land on Rozier.]

ROSCOE ROBINSON

There you go, Vik! Slow ‘em down before he gets any momentum. OOHH—

[Crisp uppercut gets launched by Volkov, followed by a hard jab and Kennard Rozier stumbles back on his heels! Volkov keeps the pressure on and connects with a surprise roundhouse punch!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

Viktor Volkov takes control of this fight with some heavy shots!

WARHEAD WILLIAMS

It looks like Rozier was just hit by a bus! Rozier's right eye is cut, that could be a major problem for him.

ROSCOE ROBINSON

Hopefully the ref stays out of it and let’s these men fight until there’s only one left standing.

[Rozier weathers the storm and pushes back and the two exchange wildly. Both are getting tagged but it doesn’t seem to inflict much damage. Rozier tried backpedaling out of the firefight, but Volkov follows him—only to get counter punched in a big way!]

BODIE SULLIVAN

OH! And Volkov gets rocked! He needs to stop playing Rozier's game or he'll get knocked out! He cannot fall into that trap.

ROSCOE ROBINSON

He literally just walked right into that one.

[Volkov has a small cut on his right cheek. He wipes the blood away to keep a clear visual, but Rozier sees an opening and nails him with a big right hand. Rozier starts to get a little more comfortable now and starts launching a barrage of punches. Volkov is getting pieced up as Rozier has flipped the script. Kennard Rozier's mind is definitely in the fight now, Volkov just got nailed again! Rozier saw a tight window and delivered another big right hand.]

ROSCOE ROBINSON

Oh, Vik! Cover your head my guy!

[Volkov looks to be in a daze as he follows Kennard Rozier. This once again proves to be detrimental as Rozier lures Volkov in and lands a massive counter punch! The frightening power of Kennard Rozier is on full display and has left Volkov sleeping peacefully on the canvas!]

ROSCOE ROBINSON

Daaaamn!

BODIE SULLIVAN

Say good night! This one is all over! Kennard Rozier silences the Moscow crowd here tonight!

ROSCOE ROBINSON

‘I am ruin plan trust me’... and that right there is why no one, not a single person, trusted those words my guy!

[The crowd is hushed with dread as Rozier stands tall over his opposition. However a massive wave of boos ignites as soon as Rozier hops on top of the cage and celebrates with his corner crew. Doctors tend to Volkov for a while before eventually assisting him up to his feet. After the medical staff finish their work, both fighters meet back to the center of the octagon for the official call.]

MIKE DEMPSEY

Ladies and gentlemen, referee Jordan Ripley has called for a stop in this fight at two minutes twenty-four seconds in the very first round, declaring your winner by knockout, AND STILL the undisputed Union Grand Prix Heavyweight Champion of the World, “Pluggz” Kennard Rozier!

[The crowd erupts into mostly boos once again as Rozier has his hand raised in victory and the title wrapped around his waist. Both fighters shake hands as a gesture of mutual respect before splitting off to each one’s crew.]

ROSCOE ROBINSON

Enjoy the win, Pluggz. You got me next...
