BREAKING NEWS: IT IS AN EYE-CATCHER!!

Terrible title line? Different? What can I say, I take risks.

Hey ho!! Harper here with another piece of breaking news! Some may be wondering after the UGP 10 card being released how could it be missing one of the rising stars in the Union GP Lightweight division. Delaney Donovan starting his Union GP career on a tear gaining the W in his last bout against former Lightweight Champion Jordan Parker-Kane.

After his win, the news we have here verified in full here at Union GP is that Double D has since been placed on the medical suspension for this upcoming UGP 10. Donovan is currently placed on pause for a scratched cornea. Normally something of that nature doesn’t take a long time to heal but the issue is from the eye poke that JPK (I heard this was a habit of his by the way but you know I don't gossip) hit him with ended up hitting closer to the iris. In those situations, it is best to aid on the side of caution than throwing it to the wind. Dante Reed also being an astute businessman knows there’s no money in damaged goods. The time is given for Donovan’s recovery being the smart move. I was able to reach the #2 Lightweight in the world for comment---

Donovan before his battle against JPK at UGP #9 weigh ins.

“It’s unfortunate, y’know? When you go about your business the right way. You fight everyone they ask you to fight and your opportunity is right there waiting in front of you, and you have a doctor take that away from you. It’s just tough. It’s tough to sit back and see Hanako get a shot at the title before me when she’s lost one title fight already to a lad I just beat. That’s taking nothing away from her or the Killas. She’s talented and a hell of a fighter and I know that her and Takeshi are going to put on a show. But it doesn’t mean I’m happy about having to sit back and watch. There’s only so many of these opportunities to go around. Like I said, it’s an unfortunate situation. I feel like I could have gone. I feel like I could be getting ready for my own shot at Kato. But it’s out of my hands.“

Needless to say but we all know when he returns he will be looking at a title decider or the title fight itself. Well deserved I’d say with the work he’s done. Wishing him a speedy and easy recovery.

The eyes have it. Bad joke. Bad joke. I shouldn't have said that. Mad one of my favorites aren't on the card.
