BELFAST — While Union Grand Prix continues to clean house and bring in fresh new talent to gear up for another series of championship tournaments, President Dante Reed has landed a monumental signing to the broadcast booth.

Former CGFC and MLC fighter Carrick Price has agreed in principle to become the newest addition to the commentary table. The 2017 MLC Prospect of the Year has been an integral presence in the MMA community throughout his career. With an overall record of 11-2, he has earned numerous awards, which include being a recipient of 2 Fights of the Night, 1 Fighter of the Night, 1 KO of the Night, 3 Submissions of the Night, and 1 Performance of the Night.
“The Lion” hasn’t competed since the closure of CGFC in the fall of 2018, where he was scheduled to face off against Prince Pierre Paul for the Divine Championship, but still stays active in the landscape, as he was just recently named a coach for the Ireland based ScrapYard MMA camp, which is home to several Union Grand Prix fighters such as Delaney Donovan, Brendan McCarthy, Ardan Kelly, and Dallas Meechan.

No official word has been announced yet about whether he will have a designated role on either the flagship UGP events or Boss Fight events, or if a rotation will take effect, but executive personnel and fighters under the Union banner are happy to welcome the multifaceted icon to the family.
