Union Grand Prix continues to grow with numerous signings, with the likes of Cruiserweight Alexander Irvine and Lightweights JoJo Holder, Julia Tran, and many more. However, with new fighters eager to debut, there’s a flip side to the business that’s an unfortunate necessity.

Earlier this year, Kaelan Laughlin had requested and granted her release from her initial Tier 2 deal. With two fights remaining, she stated the desire to focus on her professional wrestling career outweighed her pursuit into mixed martial arts. Laughlin was an integral part to the early successes of Union Grand Prix, bringing a high level of marketability along with a huge following. The submission specialist finishes with a respectable 2-2 record.
Also, one of the forefront topics is the contract negotiations between several top contenders and two current champions.

Cruiserweight Champion Roscoe Robinson signed a new Tier 3 deal, which will keep him around on a 7-9 Fight deal. Robinson and Middleweight Champion Cristian Bonanno are currently the only two fighters with that specific contract in place. Heavyweight Champion Derrick La’Bell has fought out his initial contract and is in talks for a new deal.

Real Killas MMA competitors Donnie Calabrese and Simon Bishop have also fought out their deals, but it’s been reported that Union Grand Prix President Dante Reed has been in talks with their agents, who both go through Levi Dillinger.
Another key competitor who is currently unsigned is Middleweight contender Edan McLeod. As of this writing, no discussions have been made, but Dante Reed said he would like to get a deal done and keep him around.
