UGP #1 MAIN EVENT ANNOUNCED

ree

CHICAGO — The wait is almost over, but through all of the hype and all of the speculation, one thing has become clear. The main event for Union Grand Prix’s first event will feature two heavyweight contenders who are similar in fighting style but polar opposites in personality. “Shotgun” Sakaria Koa will square off against “Dog Face” Donnie Calabrese in a contender bout in the Heavyweight Championship round robin.

Both fighter share very similar fighting styles, however they are polar opposites in personality. “Shotgun” Koa is a man of few words most of the time, someone that prefers to let his actions in the octagon speak for itself while “Dog Face” Donnie is one of the vocal mouthpieces for the newly established Real Killas MMA gym. the biggest difference between these two fighters is that Koa is 44 years of age, while Calabrese is only 24. Both of these fighters will come in at the 265 pound limit, ensuring that the fans will see a heavy hitting slugfest for the ages. The two sluggers are guaranteed at least three fights during the round robin, but every one of them counts and that first win will certainly alleviate some pressure.
