CHICAGO — Just days away from Union Grand Prix's third trip to The Windy City, President Dante Reed has announced that UGP 12 will not be happening.
With undisclosed reasons, Reed has paid out a sizable numbers of fighters' contracts, and given their releases. Several of those fighters were booked on the Chicago card and as such, deemed the card too thin and the date too soon to recover.
The fighters given their releases are as follows:
HILITE FC's Brock Quarry, Lester Only, Alejandro Rivera, Nathan Lucas, Clive Hicks, Jack Nation, Takeshi Kato, Misty DeMeans
T.W. Combat Sport's Tommy Ward, Scotty Gordy, Reggie Martin, Rob Jones
Nothing has been reported when or where the next card will be announced, but sources close to the situation has said that Dante will ensure to reimburse ticket holders in Chicago with a future event.
